It's blood everywhere!!! 🩸
Well you already know what to do in this situation.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

So...Musk tweet is like the Silk Road bust of 2013?

OGs know what I'm talking about...

My memory may be failing me but that was a sharper but also shorter dip if I recall correctly (assuming this is a dip).

Any guesses when this stops. I think a 38% decline in the 2017 run was the biggest pullback, it would have to go below 39k to exceed that.

Wish I knew if it would get there or not, but there is a lot of panic out there right now so I have no idea. The real question is have institutions soured on investing in BTC? I guess we won't know that for a few weeks.

If we are going into a drawn out bear market, I must say it sucks to have one so soon. I still think that we will get some more strength towards the end of the year because nothing has actually changed, governments and CBs are still doing what they do best and they can't stop now.

HODL!!

EDIT: perhaps we should update the poll to a price related one.

Elon said on TV the other day that he was autistic/asperger aka a genius. But he didn't say he was a stable genius. I wasn't too fond of him touting crypto, for that reason. Especially since crypto didn't need any touting. When he's promoting colonizing Mars it's good because too few people are doing it.

Exactly... I believe he just want to be different. He will say opposite of what normal say or do. For example he said we are living in a simulation so he knows how to stay in the news or memes. In case of Bitcoin he tried to be among the earliest who adopted Bitcoin and when he saw Bitcoin is becoming a normal thing he retreated. Doge stunt was also part of the game. He accepted this openly that he always try to be “extraordinary”...... he said “I think it is possible for ordinary people to choose to be extraordinary.” And the easiest way is go opposite.

Elon Musk should know this “Just because you're right doesn't mean I'm we’re wrong.”

A bunch of cowards. Mempool is also starting to fill up again over the last few hours, I imagine that is all the sellers.

Not looking great Sad
Was Musk the manipulator all along?
Seems like he is at this point.

I posted some scenarios about what I thought might happen the last time I was on the forums:
I am pretty certain this all was just an attempt to thwart the main goal of cryptocurrency so to gain more customers for his companies.
In several ways:
1. Appear on a national syndicate television show and say something to garner an audience world-wide and have a play on words so to leave speculation for what everybody was expecting to happen but it didn't.
2. Once he had everyone's focus say something else which will leave a bad taste in those investors mouth.
3. Tweet out that using a certain cryptocurrency is bad for the environment but I am here to fix that with said other crytpocurrency he garnered speculation on.
4. Present his solution that the company in which he owns will be providing clean energy to those who are using the cryptocurrency which is bad for the environment.
5. Gather more attention to said company and tells of the first cryptocurrency will be paying for his second company's journey into space.

Seems like he had it all thought out and is just setting his plan in motion.
One step at a time.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5336007.msg57014563#msg57014563

This was prior to the tweet heard around the crypto world roughly 7 hours ago in response to Mr.Whale causing this mass hysteria.

If this is the case he just shot his load, because the order book is not following it.

At least not yet.

Your post prompted me to do it.

Unfortunately, I don't know if ChartBuddy will be able to come back. When I was logging in for that, I was reminded that there is an anti-bot Captcha on login. I  can't see any easy way around that.

Well, if that's the case maybe just bring it out for times like these.

Also, what exchanges have you included in that?

That's just Bitstamp. I'm still gathering data on finex and gdax but will probably just stick with bitstamp.

I'm thinking of putting chartbuddy on twitter (or similar service). People would then be able to post in here as needed. It was a plan for a while. He was on bitco.in for a while but people got fussy and now it's not for BTC anymore really. Twitter would just be more generally available. Unfortunately somebody already grabbed the chartbuddy handle.
