What happens if you make the object to detaily, will the printer just do its best or will it not print.
There are some tanks with a high level of details for free that I would like to try and print in 1:87 scale, but I'm worried they might be to detailed for the printer.

Like this one for example.

https://www.cgtrader.com/free-3d-print-models/games-toys/toys/m1-abrams-tank-model-kit

The slicer you use (I have been using Lychee) will make the files for your printer in the appropriate resolution. Resin printing is a bit less complex than FDM as you're basically taking a slice through a 3d object and displaying the resulting image on an LCD screen.

Nobel Prize-winning economist calls Bitcoin a ‘cult’

"There always seems to be a new crop of believers. Maybe just think of it as a cult that can survive indefinitely," Krugman said.

I am very happy to see ChartBuddy regularly posting its wall charts.

I have some suggestion to do though... I see that once you click the picture and the original file is opened everything can be read very clearly (price and time) BUT in the scaled image that text gets blurred up to the point of being almost unreadable. Would it be possible to make the text a bit bigger (maybe using ie 38K instead of 38XXX) or making the original a bit lower res so that it doesn't get blurred when downscaled?

Just saying...

P.S.: Obviously I mean the text on the scales not the big bold price... I am not THAT blind... yet.

Sell both, in 4 years time those 2 BTC will buy 20 balls. You could easily get 2 back and even afford to pay the donar a premium.

Biggest bear trap ever ?!
-Fear and greed index almost completely with the values as in 2018 lowest point, as well as in the Black swan event last year!
-Bitcoin Whale sells 3k bitcoin at 58k and later buys 3500 bitcoin; Owned over 100k bitcoin!
-The interview with ray dalio was recorded weeks before, but was only published after this concentrated FUD and correction
-The only sellers were those who entered the market in the past 3-6 months with extreme losses exceeding that of the Black Swan event!

Read my tweet. A cycle top never looks like this. https://twitter.com/mr49selfmade/status/1396547471246036999?s=21

@Arrie:

About 3D printers, you've already got some good info from fellow WOers. If possible, get a printer with two Z-axis lead screws, not with only one screw that's positioned on the side of the bed. Also, if possible, get one with automatic bed levelling. This will get your printer as close as possible to a plug-and-play device.

I read you're the kind of person that doesn't want to DIY stuff. In that case, I fully recommend the Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ (pre-built). You can't go wrong with a Prusa at an affordable price point.

If you want to use more exotic materials, dimensional accuracy, end-use parts, engineering work, go for an Ultimaker (the dual extruder models like the S3 or the S5 for larger build volume). Expensive, but well worth it. A workhorse that will give you consistent results for years, whereas the cheaper ones will noticeably degrade over time.

I've been using 3D printers at work and personally since 2019. Now, I simply cannot survive without a 3D printer. I feel almost like a small god that can create anything at will. I rarely, if ever, print ready-made objects. I design everything myself using Autodesk Inventor (this s/w is even more amazing than any 3D printer can ever be). This is when a 3D printer truly shines. If you just download and print, it will get boring pretty quickly, and you will soon abandon the sport.

My 2 sats.

Thanks for your input, If I want to level up in the future I'll look into the ultimaker.

So much truth from Alcohodl.

I bought my first printer for my daughters.  They almost never used it.  I used it constantly, lol.  And then I started making things to fix stuff around the house.  To solve a particular problem.  I have used several 3D modeling programs, but have settled on two that I use most just because of speed and ease.  The afore mentioned Tinkercad, and I alsi use OpenSCAD.  You may or may not enjoy using it.  It is a text based 3d modelling software.  Open source and very basic, yet capable.  There are all the high end 3d modelling platforms like Blender as well which can be used.  But I have been able to make so many designs in TinkerCAD without paying for it and super quickly.  If you give it a shot make sure to do the tutorial.. that will help a lot.

OpenSCad is not GUI driven.  More of an old school "programmers" type of approach.  You build objects out of primitives and do all kinds of things to join them together etc:

https://openscad.org/

Some of my Tinkercad designs for various "fixes":

The red one on the second row is an example of the type of kooky thing I just make up... It is a "Toothbrush stand".  It goes in my medicine cabinet and has space for another toothbrush or toothpaste under it.  Just a little way to make more room in my cabinet.

EDIT: my male McDonald's coworkers also don't know it, the female ones like to play with both.

I did just look up aspects of your dilemma on the DCA website, so yeah, it would take you about 7 years at $96 per week to invest $35k into bitcoin.  Historically, that would have gotten you 40 BTC, but currently, you may well not even be able to reach 0.4BTC by the time that you invest $96 per week and that 7 years plays out.. but you will have put $35k into the system.. better than not putting anything in.. and each of us have to start where we need to start in terms of attempting to accumulate a BTC stash that we believe is reasonable.. and what we need to sacrifice to reach our goals.

Fuck McDonald's but if that is the best that you can do, then you might have to get two or three jobs since they likely don't even allow you to work a full time week. If you are young you might be able to tolerate, but seems better to build skills, but if you are stuck working a variety of dead end jobs, then you may need to work 20 hours at each (60 per week) and then just UP your game in terms of investing $1k per week into bitcoin rather than $100.. but still you gotta get the rest of your shit together too.

I give up.

The "Car" Just wont start...

Start by getting a job, eXPHorizon   - like Gyrsur above.

Second try to build skills so that you can get paid more for whatever you are able to contribute.

By the way, a few days ago, I was walking my dog and some kids (probably around 10 years old) asked me for money, and I said that I did not carry money when I was walking my dog, and then just yesterday (a few days later) I saw the same 4 kids, and the one kid asked me if I had any money yet.  I actually decided to be a bit more truthful and straight-forward with the kid, and I said that it was not a very good habit for kids to be asking for money from strangers on the street.  I said that it really was not a good thing that kids should be doing, and the kid started playing with my dog, and I did not pursue the topic any further.  Not comfortable to say too much to other people's kids, especially when just interacting on the street like that.

I have doubts about whether a kid with such beginning points is going to change, and part of the problem could be that the kid has not been taught better ways and maybe even his parents are engaged in similar kinds of behaviors that don't really teach the kid that it is better to try to figure out ways to contribute and to earn money through contributing some kind of service.. so just having a few interactions with kids who have begging values is difficult to share more profound ideas and values with such kids or influence them because they might just believe that I am being mean to them by not giving them money, and sure if I knew them better I could maybe think of ways to give them a job for helping out or suggest different kinds of ways that they might earn an allowance..

It can surely take a while to instill values into folks, and if they go down the wrong course, it can be difficult to teach them to be less stupid... whether they want to learn or they just learned a lot of bad habits can be difficult to know without spending some time with them.
