A few pics from the telescope could settle that matter maybe?

Oh, of course not. It's too easy to hack the pics so the Earth looks round!

Fuckers, they want us the believe the spheroid in space fairy tale...

Some years ago I was "debating" with people who didn't believe in the Moon landings. After some time I realized that you could put them on a spaceship, land them on the Moon, they would still not believe in it. Saved me a good chunk of "internet arguing time".

but while they are on the moon you can simply open the airlock since they do not believe in the vacuum of space either.

It's sad really.  Because he came up with a glorious model.  And even from the beginning of it all he said all models break.

All he needs to do is shrug is shoulders and say "Well damn, the model has broken earlier than I thought it would."  And THEN get about the business of trying to explain why, or adjusting the model somehow to possibly be accurate into the future.  Not move the goalposts, but openly try to improve the model...  And the whole world would listen to him because he earned some serious credibility with S2F.

He could even do less than that, like say "Yeah my 100k by December" stand was a foolish and capricious move that actually ignores the way this model works (because it is and was)"  And then point out that the model has still not been invalidated entirely.

Basically what he is doing now, but with humility rather than the whole "Well here is what I really always meant" line which 7 year olds can see.

It reminds me of the constant gaslighting, redefinition, and post moving that corrupt politicians and narcissists do.

Or people like CSW or Roger Ver: "BCash will take over and put an end to Bitcoin!" BSV will take over and put an end to Bitcoin!" "Follow me, listen to me! I know something that you don't!"

I mean srsly, aren't we over listening to, or even following, these types by now?

Do people really need to follow false prophets in order to invest in and be bullish on something? To be lead by the collar? Bitcoin is self-explanatory, it needs no leaders or prophets. Either you get it, or you don't.

I feel like if Michael Saylor woke up tomorrow and said he no longer believed in Bitcoin and said he was going to sell it all, 99% of his acolyte followers would all sheepishly sell their bitcoin as well. This is the state of the world we live in now.

And if you get bitcoin, and by that I don't mean totally, but the overall concept, and its implications, then you should see that there is no reason its price should follow a model to a T. There are plenty of actors investing and trading all the time, how could the end result be "perfect" ? It will go up long term, that's the only certainty, and it's enough.

Very nice.

I missed those.
And this is a very important piece of information about floor model.
I am going to replicate this in case I can figure out how he came out with those forecasts.

Merry Xmas WO Gang!

Funny thing, in the live chat next to the James Webb telescope launch, they are debating whether Earth is flat or not...  Cheesy

I've seen the curvature of the earth with my own eyes after I was in a team who performed a space balloon experiment.
I had immediate access to the raw footage from launch (on which I could see myself) - edge of space - landing after its success.

But even without this small hands on evidence there would have been no doubt in my mind, obviously.
If anyone still believes the earth is flat they are incredibly stupid or just want something to be what it is definitely not for whatever reason I guess.

Maybe it's easier to comprehend for some people the earth is flat because that is how we mostly perceive it ourselves without having to resort to maths, experimentation or recent conclusive evidence.

It's like flies which live for only one day. How would they possibly know about the daily sun setting and rising sequence or have any notion of seasons when they cannot experience these and where communication fails to comprehend such a thing.

Maybe flat earthers hunger back to a simpler time.

My guess is they would probably be more interested in gold than Bitcoin also if that is the case.  Smiley

This is the big problem with electric cars: Once the powertrain warranty is out, the value of the car is pretty much zero. Gas engines can go 200k miles and can be fixed without a full replacement.

I remember in 2005 the roads were full of Gen 1 Priuses. Then they started to just disappear, and now I doubt anyone has seem one in years. Why? Battery pack blowing out and while you can swap it for a couple of thousand, most people just junked em.

It's a problem.

Not to defend Tesla here - horrible build quality and Musk is a smug asshole - but their batteries can last 200k-300k, I've seen quite a few with that mileage. And Model S is supposedly a luxury car that can do 0-60 in like 4 seconds, so that $22k should be compared to maybe M5 or E63 engine replacement? Plus there are battery repair options available, just not in Finland apparently.

Anyway, we're at peak dinosaur juice technology, and electric stuff will only get better.

Edit - grammar.

It was $21k to have my XJS v12 rebuilt in the 90's.

It got a Chevy 350. Cheesy

Maybe that Santa will come back to life at Easter and help that giant creepy bunny hide colorful eggs in flower bed....

.....

I'll have one double spiked eggnog, please ... and hold the eggnog....Ty....

Cheers and happy holidays bros. And ffs, don't discuss BTC at the family dinner party.
If  Grandma or cousin Mel brings it up, you have a perfect pivoting ploy..to wit...
"bitcoin??!....  oh that is soooo  last year....Hey how about that James Webb thingy eh? Science is awesome!!"

Misophonia....

<googles Misophonia.... >

Huh!   I never knew there was a term for that.
I think my family suffered from it.
It manifested at the dinner table if I let a nasty one rip.....

Or sing a wee bit... that might trigger such misophonia amongst your associates, family or otherwise.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
