Currently bitcoin is trading at $39,350ish on light volumes. dyor 12h #nowars -------- As many of you might know..I am addicted to the water and sailing. At least as much as this Saylor guy if not more...funny how the Universe works really... Anyway..follow some sailing channels on YT of some really nice folk about 15 seconds of some of the most sublime drone video ive seen. Surreal. Ahhhh..wing out...downwind into the sunset. You..of all people shout be able to relate to pleonasm...one would think. I tend to read more than listen to information. Of course there is plenty of readening and listenings and watchenings that all happen at the same once for sure. But listening for hours on end taxes my attention span..not to mention butting up against time the might be better spent in other activities. I think I have Saylors narrative down pretty good at this point..we all do. Still like the man. I had to look up "pleonasm." There are some kinds of activities in which wearing headphones might not be a bad idea if you are open to getting information in that way... I can usually tolerate close to 2x speeds depending on the complexity of the topic and how much I am able to pay attention.. if I am taking a shower and listening, or washing dishes, or going for a walk/run/lifting weights, or if I am doing yard work, or making some kind of repair/maintenance or communing or on a road trip... Some kinds of tasks do not facilitate listening to a podcast... or the presence of other people in the vicinity might also inhibit the listening feasibilities so there is that... By the way, I do believe that I have heard a lot of Saylor's talking points, but he is hardly a drone and even he does change some of his talking points.. and since he tends to say a lot of interesting things and he has a lot of great ways of saying things, I have difficulties criticizing him for repetition. Actually, I have also found that sometimes when I listen to someone who is either way smarter than me, or who has a different background or way of expressing matters, in the beginning, I will find that I am having trouble to understand all of the points that are being made, yet sometimes I will still find areas in which I disagree - and it seems to me that my level and abilities to disagree are even better if I have heard some of the points as repetition.. so sometimes my disagreements end up to be conditional too.. There are a few areas in which I have learned to disagree with Saylor - even though I consider him to be one of the best current narrators that we have but his great amount of publicity and openness does cause more abilities to criticize some of his angles.,. even though they tend to be conditional criticisms rather than absolute.

ARTYOM FEDOSOV 🇺🇦 @usleepwalker My Ukrainian credit cards don't work anymore. I'm safe physically in Kazakhstan, but all my savings are gone. Crypto is the only money I still have, and today I can say without exaggeration that $BTC, $ETH, and #NFT are going to save my life while I can't come back home. https://twitter.com/usleepwalker/status/1497255981851496449?s=21

Sanctions always hurt both sides. Need to be careful not to shoot yourself in the foot. "targeted" SWIFT restrictions sounds like BS talk to appease the masses “At the same time, we are working flat out on how to limit the collateral damage of a disconnection from #SWIFT so that it hits the right people. What we need is a targeted and functional restriction of SWIFT." https://twitter.com/germanyintheeu/status/1497629293937049606?s=20&t=Y6In-oQI9lj9gA1sz5xrKgYeah, likely BS. SWIFT disconnection is the financial equivalent of nukes. China will help Rus, of course, although they will do so half-heartedly, and only so they can test their new digital renminbi thingy and/or gauge how much such disconnection impacts the disconnected. They could be next, if the shit hits Taiwan's fan. Freezing Putin's or Lavrov's assets abroad? That's a joke. Might as well try to freeze his noncustodial btc wallet (which I'm sure is quite fat, incidentally). If they really cut off Russia from SWIFT, it will be the largest testbed for btc to date. And yes, there will be the "bad btc, helps criminals" angle. But the people will see and understand. In Russia, in Canada, everywhere. Interesting times indeed. NEW: Agreement reached on cutting #Russia out of #SWIFT 'Selected Russian banks' will be removed from the system - say EU, France, Germany, Italy, UK, Canada and United States https://twitter.com/MarkerJParker/status/1497696759945957376MORE: Russian banks which have previously been sanctioned will be disconnected from SWIFT; other Russian banks not affected https://twitter.com/BNONews/status/1497696270579863559Nothing burger

Surprised to see the strength & resilience at the moment to be honest. Price is effectively unmoved despite us being on the verge of WW3. Maybe young bitcoin is maturing, maybe a large % of the weak hands have already mindrusted.
Will be interesting to see where we go next but the bottom could be in?
Well... this has been my thought recently. But. I have had a string of wrong theories so far recently, AND this is a time where all kinds of kooky things could happen. For example... I was expecting the "bad guys" (Russia) to announce they would use Bitcoin to avoid sanctions, and that this would cause a negative sort of reaction in the bit central bank governments, and possibly things would be done that might cause shocks to the price. BUT instead what has seemed to happen is the "good guys" (Ukraine) have invited funding from the world via Bitcoin. This is a fairly interesting wrinkle. As this puts the "righteous" use case in FRONT. Good press for Bitcoin. So now if the nation states that are likely to knee jerk to Russia using it would also be damaging Ukraine's situation. But that really is Bitcoin doing Bitcoin things isn't it? I have been telling my meatspace friends that Bitcoin is poised to go one way or the other fairly dramatically, but that I am not ready to bet on which way (though my long range bet never changes). My theory on this is that the market is pricing in that the FED will not be so hawkish in their predicted rate rises now that war has/is breaking out. So “risk on” assets are being piled back in to. Unfortunately Bitcoin is seen as a risk on asset to most large investors at the moment. Maybe this will change in the future but who knows?

goes where? to a bigger war? We should have pushed hard for negotiations, instead, even now, before the severity of this goes to something incomprehensible with very large casualties. Additionally, if you have a large fine, levy or reparations applied to Russia, how are you going to get paid? This will only make them completely belligerent and not prone to any negotiations. Before, they said that it (SWIFT disconnect) would be considered as a declaration of war. Not sure what to make of such statement made in the past, we shall see now how it develops. Shortly after SWIFT removal, I would be watching for the signs of the general mobilization there, and if it happens, then SWHTF.
