what you guys think of BIP300 and BIP301 ?
https://www.drivechain.info/
depends.. will they make us rich?
I'm interested in anything that can make me rich lol, this question is very important. Cheesy

I'm more interested in BIPs notatether-messageverify and notatether-multisigtaproot than BIPs 300 and 301 (it's a shame how there is no discussion of them).

It's not too often that we get into any kinds of nitty-gritty debates of various BIPs in these here parts until they potentially become widely-discussed and/or potentially controversial, and for sure some BIPs get more wide-spread attention than others.

I am bit unclear about your two linked BIPs ("not bips") in terms of if they had been officially submitted as BIPs or if they are just talking points that are part of what appears to be your bitcoin blog?  Can we presume that your blog has any kind of meaningful and/or significant wide readership?.. and how about creating threads in the forum about the talking-points if you are wanting to spark bitcoin talk discussion on them?

I would think that a lot of us are going to be more comfortable having discussion about BIPs or not BIPs - to the extent that we even want to get into that level of analyzing if some changes might be helpful, if they are discussed in threads in the forum and potentially have participation from other forum members.

You have to admire honesty tho.. no one that honest irl

First of all, welcome back from where-ever posting "vacation" that you have been having.

Don't get me wrong, I am not against aspirations to improve one's lot in terms of financial prowess; however, I like to consider that we bitcoiners (gentlemen) are a wee bit moar nuanced, sophisticated and subtle in expressing our lil selfies regarding our financial goals.

So, in that regard, personally, I get a wee bit turned off (if not offended), when I read posts from WO newbies - who seem to be debasing our wannabe nuance, sophistication and/or subtlety.

In udder wurds, it seems to me that King Daddy allows us to kill two birds with one stone, in that we should be able to figure out ways to be able to balance in terms of aspiring towards decentralized immutable sound-money principles while at the same time getting richie as fuckedy as a side benefit, and we do not even need to appear base or greedy while going down that path (even if we happen to be greedy and/or base on the inside...   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy).

In udder wurds, we can be privileged to take a humble path forward in our accumulation and HODL of BTC and not to rush our goals, and likely at the same time, being a bit aggressive will also pay off, so long as we are not overly aggressive...

DYOR - YMMV

Even Franklin's fans here in this thread  Tongue

Who's Franklin?

Is he in the room with us right now?

Are you talking about Ben Franklin, Willis?

You better snap the fuck back into it, JSRAW...!!!!!   Angry Angry Angry Angry

Have you lost your way?   You still know about dee way of dee cornz no?  Have you been shitcoining?

Since I like uie pooie so muchie (#nohomo), I am going to attempt to save you from ur lil selfie...

For example, no matter what the BTC price, I will tell a low coiner or a no coiner, that you better get the fuck in, and you better get started, but it still is up to them regarding how aggressive to be in their BTC accumulation strategy, and they can get quite screwed for a decent amount of time if they are either too aggressive towards the top or too whimpy towards the bottom - and in that regard, it is not always easy to know where we are at, exactly (while we are there), until maybe a few years after the fact.

I think this is the best sentence I read in this forum today, great word JJG...

How are the class of 2021 feeling?

I am thinking that it would be a wee bit retarded for anyone entering into bitcoin in 2021 to presume that they would be profitable at this point in time, whether they entered at low or high price points in 2021.

Bitcoin 101 - there are no guarantees in bitcoinlandia.. even if there may well be (there are) decently good odds that bitcoin is an asymmetrical bet to the UPside in the long run 4-10 years or longer.

We can look at bitcoin's historical price charts and NOT only see bitcoin's historical price volatility, but even if we have any logic in our wee lil noggin (apart from guys who think like Elon Musk), we should not be presuming automatic profits - even though surely there are guys (or would it be gamblers?) who think like that.

I can appreciate that the difference between top and bottom does seem to be quite a bit easier to tell apart from one another
Our resident rancher would know about that for sure  Tongue

I am afraid to ask..

I do admit that I know someone who has an account at Bittrex, let's call him/her "a Bittrex friend," and such Bittrex friend did not receive any such KYC questionnaire from Bittrex in recent times (yet).

We know that bitcoin exchanges are becoming more and more inquisitive in terms of their KYC / AML compliance matters, and I would imagine that certain kinds of accounts will receive more scrutinies and/or red flags coming out of certain exchanges, and I am not sure what would raise such red flags.. maybe being a new account, or maybe they run background checks on account holders or some kind of transaction amounts will trigger scrutiny.. I know that some of us may well be bothered by shotgun KYC that some of us might have heard about, which seems to be a kind of practice in which KYC becomes a surprise issue that might be triggered by attempting a withdrawal that might go over a certain threshold amount.

I recall one instance in which my "coinbase friend" (not saying if it was the same friend or not) had attempted to deposit a seemingly routine small amount of something like $500 and then such transaction had gotten frozen, and soon thereafter the bank account could not be used, and then soon thereafter such Coinbase account ended up getting shut down and such coinbase friend was able to withdraw all funds from coinbase within the next 1-2 months and bring the account balance to zero prior to the account being frozen.. or no longer usable... who needs coinbase, you might ask?

Well I don't know, but it can be inconvenient to have issues with various accounts and then have to spend a certain amounts of time with frozen account balances and then having to go through processes of setting up new accounts, according to such coinbase friend.

By the way, surely I am not against using bitcoin through peer to peer transactions, but sometimes there are not easy vehicles to get in and out of BTC in terms of having friends (contacts) available in order to do various transactions in and out of fiat/BTC.
