If a new account donates, will they have avatar + signature priviledges of a 'Hero Member'  or would they still have 'Newbie' restrictions?

Yes it's possible, as long as the total activity is not more than 14 in a day. [CMIIW]

And, if you already reach 14 within 2 weeks. You won't able to increase the activity after the next 2 weeks.

Activity is determined by a combination of 2 things.

1. How many activity periods you've posted in. If you have posted in 3 activity periods, then your activity is 42. However, onto point 2.

2. Your activity cannot exceed your post count. The potential activity is never lost. The post count just needs to be increased.

If you have 3000 posts and 1000 activity, then you only need to make 1 post every activity period to increase it by 14.

If you have 500 activity, and 200 posts, then your activity is capped by your post count, your activity will rise with your post count until all potential activity has been exhausted (this is your scenario, though I don't know your exact activity).

This is all you need to know about activity.

afaik the only way you can calculate your potential activity is to manually count how many two-weeks period you have posted in. it can get pretty damn tedious if you have a lot of posts.

oh hell, count it manually would be a very tedoius work, i was searching for something more "automatic"  no problem, it's not an important thing to know my potential activity

Honestly, I think the calculation is right.
Because with this calculation, newbie will hard to rank up so it means less scam account.
IMO the function is almost the same as "trust"
