Actually if drinking within reasonable limits and not drunk might be okay. But of course alcoholic drinks also contain a lot of sugar that is not good for health.

Indeed you are correct.  It is okay to drink but it is not good to be drunk.  All applies in moderation, everything is okay if it is in moderation.  As beer advertisement says, Drink moderately.  Evil deeds also lurk in the mind of a drunkard and thus, it can trigger him to commit crime and other untoward incident.  Plus the fact that it can cause damage to your liver.

Hi guys. Just wanted to know whether drinking is good or bad for our health...first of all i drink every weekend because i feel refreshed after a heavy week of work..  After i drink i take a lot of food and have a nice sleep....I do not have any kind of headache or anything after drinking but will it affect me in the future.... My dad almost drinks everyday right from his childhood may b at the age of 18 but my dad is healthy and strong even after drinking so many years... Thanks to god for that....... Any way,  When it comes to your health, is it better to drink or not to drink?

There are so many factors that impact overall health. Unless you're drinking excessively, it's likely not doing significant harm. If you're eating relatively clean, having regular physical activity, getting enough sleep and challenging your mind and having fun every now and then,  you should be pretty healthy.

Hang over and kidney damage but for real you just have to take it moderately,
Remember overdosing something is a bad thing it wouldn't really give you something good.

Drinking too much on a single occasion or over time can take a serious toll on your health.
It will damage your organs example of this will be the damage of the heart,on the liver and can lead to a variety of problems and liver inflammations.
It also causes the pancreas to produce toxic substances that can eventually lead to pancreatitis, a dangerous inflammation and swelling of the blood vessels in the pancreas that prevents proper digestion.

I genuinely think there is many good things about alcohol, helps to relax, helps to be social and can generally make a memorable evening occur. But, for me at least, I find it very hard to know when to stop drinking and things, more than not, go very downhill. So in recent times I've been completely sober alcohol wise, its been great for my money and overall happiness I think. Makes weekends a bit boring since all my friends drink. Although until I learn some better self control alcohol is out of the question for me.

Impact of drinking alcohol is not good, you do something wrong, sometimes if you drink too much you do not know that you're looking for a fight, so do not drink too much, drink as much as you can.

I believe that alcohol can be consumed in very small quantities, because it can destroy the body. To raise the mood you can find many other more useful ways.

Besides the fact that it is terrible for your health (it is!) it also turns normal, coherent people into waste of space retards. I have been around hundreds of drunks and they all act with the same pathetic disregard for themselves and others. Alcohol is more than a crutch it is a poison and more than poisoning your body, it poisons every relationship you have.

First, it depends on the drink. Example , red wine its good for the heart; Absinthe not so good Cheesy
Quantity of drink and alcohol in it. (Beer 5% alcohol , whiskey 40% , see the difference ?)
The quantity of alcohol is tied with the percentage of alcohol in your blood. if in US you are considered a drunk driver at 0.05 which is a little more than a beer, then you can imagine at 0.35 aka some more than a bottle of wine you are passed out. How often you drink, how much time it passes between drinks is relevant as well. the alcohol tolerance is mostly a myth, you may feel more or less dizzy , BUT, your liver will still will have to clear the same amount of blood as one with less tolerance. So, the impact of drinking depends on many things, even your glucose levels change drastically while drinking and the effects do not necessarily show up soon. so bottom line, a few drinks once in a while make you feel nice, but do not overstep in it.

You are actually having very good self control by understanding it's an issue for you and staying away from it altogether.  As long as it doesn't bring aggression out of you when you're drunk, it's not terrible, but you'll likely get hung over if you're not hydrating properly.

Maybe just change the type of drink that you're into.  If you're past downhill experiences were from liquor, maybe try switching to beer.  Much lower alcohol content for the volume, so alcohol doesn't enter the bloodstream as fast...unless you're chugging it.

Nowadays I may have a beer every now and then, or a glass of red wine with a meal.  Aside from that I don't have any interest in drinking to the point that I'm hung over the next day.

As with everything else in life, all is OK in moderation

So if i am not wrong you trying to tell that its not a big deal to drink in this modern culture.... But dont you feel that drinking causes a lot of problems...

He want to say it is bad if you drink big amounts. I think it is not bad to drink every weekend, but not some huge amounts, because it could be bad.  It is same with food. You can eat some unhealty food, just if you don't eat it all the time, burgers for example.

Good for you. Weed is less harmful (both mentally and physically), when compared to alcohol and tobacco. I am yet to understand why marijuana is a banned substance in most of the countries, while alcohol and tobacco remains freely available. But the situation seems to be changing. Marijuana is becoming legal in more and more countries.

It seems to me that even small doses of alcohol have a negative effect on a person. Especially negative alcohol affects the human brain. He kills the brain cells and from this person can become feeble-minded
