Why people are still buying BTC?

I think people are still buying bitcoin because they know that bitcoin prices will continue to grow and will continue to increase so that if invested in bitcoin will still be profitable

People in this days still buying bitcoin because of the good benefits that they probably get in the future. Because bitcoin is very promising and trustful to earn more money in the right time investment plan. That's why they are still buying besides of it's very volatile behavior, because they always think that bitcoin will give them always good benefits and profitable future will comes into it.

I understood why they wanted to invest in btc before, after the Chyprus crisis, and all the articles in the media. But now?

I don't get it.


Bitcoin is useless, and will most likely never be used as a currency. I spent hours trying to get my first bitcoins (satoshi actually), and after working for ages, I only got 0.002 btc, which does not even allow me to proceed to a transaction (the fees are higherthan that amount  ). When you compare it with CC or paypal, it seems that they are free to use in comparison! Not to mention the time required to actually proceed to a transaction which can be anything between 1 minute and ... 1 year (or more?).

The only possible reason I see people are buying btc is that they (truly) believe that the price will increase, and want to make more profit. I think that 99.99 % of the bitcoins exchanged are never withdrawn from the exchangers, and the people are only waiting to make some profits. What makes them believe that the price will rise? Because the amount of bitcoins is limited? Because lost coins can never be recovered? I have no clue.


An other problem is the "mining" part. Soon, the difficulty will increase, CPU and GPU mining will be useless. People will stop mining bitcoins and try LTC or something easy to get... The interest in btc will decrease.


Other issues:
- security. Not a single company was able to provide a "professional" service. Bitcoin-24 has a serious problem ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=174600.0 ). Even mtgox was critized for the lags, problems with missing coins, money, delay, and so on ... The hacks are countless (you can see new topics about that every day ...).


I can't see anything positive about btc, and still can't get why people are buying it. Can any captain obvious explains? Thanks.

I think that the best answer to the question in the title will be "Investment". Many people are still investing in and trusting Bitcoin despite all the recent declines. Is this a good thing? Yes of course. We can also learn that this is the best proof of the power in the market.

people buy bitcoin has a goal to gain multiple benefits. They think maybe if they buy bitcoin at the current price then the future bitcoin price will rise significantly. This is a factor people buy bitcoin

Because it is an  opportunity they see it as an investment,  for the last 2 years,  bitcoin's value appreciate  really well and that is what investor are looking for,  to make their capital go back really well.  And aside from invesment is it can use in many ways,  payment, trading,  many more,  it is the money of internet, it is a little bit challenging to overcome it's up and down but it is fun.

The people choose to stay in bitcoin because eventhough the price continues to go down all old investors or users know that it is part of the bitcoin cycle. People are still buying bitcoins because they believe bitcoins can give huge profit to them and have strong foundation in the world of crypto. Bitcoin as we can see has gave people a strong courage to invest and earn huge profit thus making people rich. For me this is one reason why they are still investing bitcoin.

The appeal for many is the fact that Bitcoin is decentralized, meaning no specific group or governing body has control over it. Instead, it is secured by advanced cryptography, a set of military-grade encryptions, and regulated by a network called the Blockchain.

And this decentralized cryptocurrency is supposed to gain a lot very soon. I believe that close to the end of this year, we will see how Bitcoin is going to the Moon.

People are still buying bitcoin because of the promising price in the future that will make everyone feel blessed because we believe that bitcoin will hit $100000 this year. I believe this coming end of year will be the year of all bitcoiners. That if you beleive you receive. That's why many are buying bitcoin.
