Anyone know of future plans for SPR?
I think you should ask i
n the SPR thread on bitcointalk or in the spreadcointalk forum.
I would not be surprised to read an announcement from the SPR dev in the coming days about the route he wants the coin to take, but unless he finds at least another developer, I have little hope it will materialize.
Everybody should recognize the price of SPR over the last 6 months or so was heavily influenced by the upcoming HLM drop. Its fair value is probably closer to 5K sat - and that already takes into account the hope of a new roadmap. Without, it is one of a gazillion altcoins without utility or future. Personally, I believe the time is coming to an end where coins could survive on a fan-based that liked a new algo or other feature. IMO, in the future, only those coins will hold any value that can show a business case.
I got into SPR exclusively to get HLM hopefully cheaper than buying post-drop. I have grown to like the artwork and wallet of SPR, but apart from that, I don't know what it stands for. Therefore, I dumped most of my bags immediately after they were released at Cryptopia.
HLM on the other hand has excellent leadership, enough developers and a forward-looking roadmap. It's not simply trying to be yet another masternode coin.
Can you expand a bit on that? I was also under the imression that this is a regular Airdrop...
It was a economical fork - you got as many HLM as you held SPR and could keep the SPR. So, it was kind of similar to how BTC holders received BCash beginning of August. No Spreadcoin -> no Helium.
Big thanks to you, coins101 and team. I found the swap was very well done and for me went without a hitch. You guys rock
