Getting this a lot lately.

[2011-10-18 02:39:23] Accepted 00000000.fa02ed54.50e3b15d GPU 0 thread 0 pool 0
[2011-10-18 02:40:39] Pool 0 communication failure, caching submissions
[2011-10-18 02:40:39] Stale share detected, discarding
[2011-10-18 02:40:49] Stale share detected, discarding

Doesn't seem to matter which server I point my miners to.

Any work being done to fix this?

Since yesterday I've beeh seeing significantly lower speed (on the pool's "side") than I'm hashing at, my actual speed is ~ 3.3 Ghash and the pool's been reporting 2-2.3 Ghash/sec for the last 24 hours or so. The pool's hashrate has dropped to 570-630 Ghash/sec as well. It looks like the server's "dropping" some connections all the time, missing some shares.. any plans/ETA on fixing this?

I've tried some additional fixes, so please let me know if yall notice continued issues after this post.

I'm sorry about not being around much or responding to emails.  I've been having a lot of personal issues which has caused this lack of attention to the pool.  I will try and remedy soon.

@BT

Any thoughts on implementing merged mining?  I saw the question asked a few pages back, but didn't see any response about it.

Same question

Sorry, nothing at the moment.  May be able to use PoolServerJ and a simple namecoind to do this, but last time I checked these were still a little iffy, and I haven't had time to check recently.

BurningToad, I hope your personal issues aren't serious. When you finish your personal issues and pool issues, come to Barcelona. There will be some beers waiting you Wink

Thanks.

Up your donation so he can afford an admin...

I doubt the server is even paying for itself right now, even with the uptick in hashrate over the past couple months. When the weighted average was above 1% the other day, only about a dozen other people besides me were still bolded on the lists. That's not many.

I wish I knew how to help beyond just donating.

BT, hope your shit works out.

Erm, you took me the wrong way i think. I've been in clans and moderated boards, I didnt get paid a bean, but i wasnt bothered either. Thats what i meant. Normally there is a person or 2 with so much time on there hands, and willingness to help that they do just that. YOu know, there are people out there that think somethings are worth more than posesions/valuebles & 'money' in whatever form that may be Smiley

My donations are currently set to 1.1 (1.75 not too long ago) and weighted is 0.58+ and rising. I started here at 0.2. Reason i gone from 1.75 to 1.1 is i donate .5 to CGminer as well now. If you also look for me (blue waffle) i rank 56th currently in hashrate, 48 LIFETIME and donation rank is 36th. So after all these new people came here im still ranking and donating higher than them.

My point is there must be some nerd/dweeb whatever that is willing help for nothing. there always is. Me, I have got time but dont understand PoolJs etc and all that and im off on holidays in 2 months, for 2 months (at least) in India so im not ideal, before you bring that up Smiley

Well, main server is unresponsive again.  Last time this happened, it was a hardware failure at Amazon.  Getting them to look at it again...

We seem to be back, after switching IPs and pointing the DNS to it.  Let me know if yall notice any issues.

This has been asked a few time so far...unfortunately here is BT's response.

So it's going to have to wait until PSJ and namecoind play nice together...

MMC (mining.mainframe.nl) is no longer. You might want to update your config.
