The pool's dropping some shares again, about 25%. Permanently switching to something else, I guess. Sad Probably Guild or Slush.

it's so sad, especially now that we've had a nice rally from 2 to 3 bucks, but I'm gonna have to jump ship as well

not permanently, I hope, but time will tell,

I'll try to check in from time to time

server2.arsbitcoin.com seems to be working well for right now, hopefully BT will notice that the main server's down soon.

One thing for sure, he is not walking off with our money. Payout is still working and the pool unpaid is only at 3.44 BTC.

I wouldnt use such harsh words on somebody that has provided such a great service for quite a while.
Lets just wait and see...

Everyone is welcome at Eclipse!  https://eclipsemc.com

But it is kinda strange that he just up and left.  I take it no one knows him IRL or anything?  I've always wondered what would happen to EMC if I just suddenly disappeared or died or something.  How long would it keep running on it's own?  It's pretty self sufficient... interesting legacy to leave behind, too.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.

Props to BT for running ArsBitcoin as well as he did. It's not always easy running a pool, that's for sure! I wouldn't be surprised if he turns up again to make a clean exit; he mentioned he had some personal stuff to deal with and is probably not able to monitor Ars 24/7. We'll see.

In the meantime, for those looking to relocate their hashpower with ArsBitcoin-like payouts, give ABCPool.co a try! Pure PPS and low invalids at 0% fee. www.abcpool.co

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Eclipse is Proportional.

ABCpool.co does not offer merged mining, so no real upgrade there. When I see a pool that does not offer merged mining by now, I wonder if they are gonna end up like Arsbitcoin. No real interest in providing other than the status quo. Sure nmc is not worth much, but every $ counts...

What reward method do you use?

We are currently employing a modified proportional system with a score based system coming online very shortly.

If I'm wrong then I am. That is what I got from going to the web page and looking at the faq...

Yea, they use DGM.  I don't know why their FAQ is 2-3 months old.  Also don't know WTF "modified" proportional would entail lulz
