Anyone dump $6k worth of this coin today? Volume went up by 6k, price dropped. More to the point did anyone buy $6k worth of coins?
(Thats 30% increase in daily trade volume on a coin that is dropping in price by the hour, looks and smells more like sellers than buyers to me)

could be Carsen liquidating some of his remaining 30k coins?

Check: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/tor/#!wallets

Wallet 1-6 is me.  I don't see Carsen's wallets anywhere in the top 10 anymore, so maybe he has sold the remaining 30k off.

Wallet 7 is interesting - must be a big investor buying and holding.

Wallets 7 and 8 are probably exchanges, not an investor. Number 7 has 95 addresses and 8 has 43. I'm sure if you compare the transactions in those wallets with the transactions on the exchanges they will likely match up.

I think a more important question, again, is your wallet 5. On the 23rd you had a 100,000 TOR deposit, supposedly from Carsen, and on the 28th that 100,000 left your wallet. Where did it go? It left wallet 5 at 01:12 and there was a deposit into wallet 6 for 99,500 at 13:58. That's the best scenario I could come up with to explain it, but where was it for 12 hours and why is the deposit into wallet 6 for 500 less than what was transferred from wallet 5? Your promised transparency and that you would openly state anytime you move coins. Did the 500 go into faucets? Bounties? Before you only had 5 wallets, why do you need 6 now? Transparency always overrides FUD and boosts investor's confidence.

I am not in support of this cion, but I do know the dev or however you may call him paid someone 500 TOR for the creation of a faucet.

Interesting. Definitely not me, as you can see from my wallets publicly.  If I were to sell any coins at all,  I would make an announcement here requesting a private sale to buy-and-hold investors. I wouldn't dump coins on the open market.

Can't be Carsen as he only has 30k TOR left .. it is somebody else, no idea who.

Just to clarify, the 61k sell order referenced was not for 61,000 Torcoin.  It was for 12,000 Torcoin, at 61,000 satoshis.  So, it could easily have been Carsen.

At any rate, the market demand powered right through that 12k dump.  The last of it sold this morning.

that 500 TOR went to pay the guy who made TorCoinFaucet.com

See: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/tor/#!rich

Wallets 1-4 are in cold storage and not even accessible to me without considerable effort.  Wallets 5 and 6 are running on my laptop, and used for paying bounties, hiring devs, etc etc.  As yet I have not sold one single TOR.  I may occasionally sell a few thousand TOR here or there to private buy-and-hold investors in order to pay for ads (I've already invested 30+ BTC of my own funds into advertising and development), but I will never be selling any TOR at all on the open market, you can be sure of that. If I do decide to sell 1-5k TOR, I will post the reason publicly here (for example, advertising costs on coinmarketcap or newsbtc), and I will request a private off-exchange sale.  That's full transparency.

If you guys want, I can also post publicly here every bounty or fee that I pay in TOR to devs and contributors to the project.

Oh I see, my guess is that was Carsen. His idea of a 'long term hold' is about 2 weeks :-(  He has zero longterm vision, and just thinks a coin exists purely for pump and dump. Oh well .. seems like his TOR holdings are now entirely depleted.

I have zero interest in abandoning TorCoin.  Considering I hold over 1 million TOR, I have every possible motive to build this coin into a massive giant with a huge market cap.

In fact I have big plans to make the coin even better in the future, such as incorporating ring signatures and many end-user usability features.

I feel a great way to build trust in the community is to do a podcast, discussing your ideas for Torcoin's future.

looks like price is recovering from whomever was dumping.  Some ads on newsbtc will be coming online tomorrow, should stoke the fires of demand and help recover the price to the $2-$3 level, which I think is a realistic price target for the near-term.  Could go a lot higher or the guy with 50k TOR could continue dumping thus keeping the price at or near the current level.. again I would advise being LONG on TOR, because with the coin is quite new and therefore vulnerable to rampant speculation and price swings.

Yep. I'm holding my Tor. There's been a ton of FUD but TOR survived all that plus the pumps and dumps. I'm expecting a slow and steady rise.

hey folks just an update from TorCoin .. I am planning a HUGE ad campaign this month, but before I buy those ads I need to improve the website (hence the bounty) and release the IoS and Android wallets.  Then I will be investing a lot of money in advertising and the price/trading volume will rise significantly

Thank you for putting work into the marketing! It doesn't matter how good the coin is if the marketing sucks and no one knows it exists. I don't understand why so many developers don't seem to get that.

There is nothing wrong with using the TOR name - the word 'TOR' is a dictionary word, and you cannot trademark a dictionary word:
http://www.dictionary.com/browse/tor

The onion logo may be changed in the future just slightly, but that's about it.
