In WIN10 you can actually edit Update rules wia GPE or REGEDIT.
My win10 are fine and no unusual behaviour.
Win10 bigger hashrate somehow relates to DX12? i did not notice any difference in hashing on 1080ti's or 1070's ... is it really better on win10 ?

GPE only exists in PRO and "higher" versions of WIN10 as I recall.

I did some digging and found a regedit method (which for home is the ONLY method that exists), but it bloody sucks to have to go to THAT level of extreme to work around an issue folks have been COMPLAINING TO MICROSOFT ABOUT FOR WAY PAST A DECADE NOW.

Can someone recommended settings for 1080ti?

I have a 6x 1080ti rig, each running 60% power limit, +250 core, -500 mem (mem oc or underclock, no hash difference).
Getting only about 600 sols and 4sol/w. 900w at the wall for about 3600 sols. Voltage is unchanged.

It seems low compared to gtc 1070 which can do 450sol at 60% power limit. Should I undervolt?

wow.... 6 x 1080ti is an incredible$ rig

Post some pictures will ya?

I know;  after seeing the hashrates out of just 5x 1080's, I can only imagine how the ti feels when you get the pools payout 3 times a day... lol.

and he must be constantly watching it...in case if it hangs hehe

Here are some pics: http://imgur.com/a/aSbIX

This 1080ti rig is unstable compared to my Rx 470/480 rigs. Tried EWBF, Nicehash, Miningpoolhub, they fail every 1 - 2 days. My main card also resets to 100% TDP occasionally. Not as hands free as I like it to be..

I would be interested to see if nvOC is stable with your build.  What mobo are you using?

Biostar TB250 BTC
4gb ram
Pentium G4560

Ok I have one of those, and that CPU.  I will make a specific image for it with newest changes and upload it tomorrow.  I have a 3x 1080ti Running, but I would like to see if a 6x can be stable; both with or without plusCPU.   Smiley

Do you have a fast 16gb or larger USB key?  I recommend using this one:  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T61JM4E

been too busy.  I have yet to get to setting up one rig with your os.

I had issues with the solar array.  still have to go back tomorrow that will be ½ a days work.
Have an issue with the ½ r4  won't work at the array works at my house  may be a router issue.

Been going back and forth to NY  to visit a sick relative.

And playing  with the galax Katana build  second card is here running hot in a case have to wait for the fans I ordered.

nice to see a six card build. Working.

Can some explain this to me?

nvidia 980ti has produced 990MHs on NeoScrypt making 12.45$ a day Nicehash miner ..........while......
nvidia 1080ti has produced only 442MHs on NeoScrypt making 1.08$ a day Nicehash miner  ?!

It did not seem to be a glitch, as it was working stable for quite some time... some quick price fluctuation? (ye right)

I use a 60gb ssd from aliexpress, the brand is Kingdian. If you have a proven stable OS, I'm interested.

Interesting. On nicehash profitability calculator, 980ti does 1.00 MH/s, 1080ti only 0.37MH/s. Damn, I need to grab some 980ti. For some reason pascal has nerfed Neoscrypt mining compared to maxwell.

It means 980ti = $12 a day for a $300 card. 1080ti = gtx 960 in neoscrypt. No comment on $1.08/day, maybe display bug.

EDIT: $1.08/day is correct for 442mhs. Maybe display bug for 980ti.

The 9 series was optimized heavily for neoscrypt cause it was growing on GPU support finally last year.

The optimizations never really got to the 10 series for that algo I believe....   Much better profitability from a 10 series on skein anyways Wink

Where do you mine Skein? And how much does a 1070/1080/1080ti make a day?
My attempt at miningpoolhub has not been very successful. Even had problems finishing the benchmark.

My attempt at miningpoolhub has not been very successful. Even had problems finishing the benchmark.

Heres a few figures:

1070=520Mh
1080=640Mh (if memory serves)

You can do a profitability calculation from the upper right pane in the wallet links provided below.

The first link is the equivalent of about 3x 1070's: Link1
Its 1x 1070, 1x 980, 1x 960, and a gtx 650 that nibbles at LBRY because I have not been to that site to update it in ages.  Every once in a while, my buddy will leave his 1070 mining for me, as well as another machine up north that runs a 960 while in-use at a warehouse.  With the first 3 GPU, and my buddies part-time other 1070;  I've been seeing over $300/mo.

The second link is (by last count, i'm not sure if he's added any more cards) 5x 1080 and 1x 1070: Link 2

The past few days my friend has been having internet connectivity issues (wifi unreliability i think) and it may show some offline time.  It still hasn't run a full 2 months yet at its current hashrate.  He started with a gtx 1070, then planned the full-blown miner and went with 5x 1080, then returned two, but shortly after bought two used in separate instances on CL.  He still wants to fill out that rackminer with its 6th gpu as soon as a 1080 hits CL for a good price again.

In my sig, I have a link to my batch files;  as well in that link a link to my other post with more info and configs for mining on zpool.   If you need any help, LMK.

Link to my batch and script resources here.

yiimp is good for skein i use it all the time, my 1070 cna do 540MH in skein not skein 2, which is 460, a 1070 should do 250k satoshi a day there, which is a very good profit now

So as a "rule", I have windows update turned off on my W7 boxes.  However, I'm all for keeping them reasonably up to date so they don't become hijacked, like Gaby mentioned.

Does anyone have a nice way to apply a "roll-up" update that contains "many" updates (Windows 7), rather than enabling windows update?

ms now uses a monthly "roll up" update once a month on win7/10.

on 7 i just tell it to let me know. after a few days with no issues reported on the web it let it update. i do a full image backup 1st though. if something tanks from the update  i restore from backup.

no way to pick and choose what updates you want in 7/10 now, its all or nothing.

as for 10.. well its only on my notebooks and they dont mine. they are on wifi and i set them as metered connections so they cant download and update till i turn that off. same deal, full image backup 1st.

full image backups have saved me mucho problems. use macrium reflect free version.

Does anyone know the most efficient card for ETH?

Would it be the 1070gtx?  (28mh/90 watts)

I never saw 28Mh out of my 1070s at anywhere near that low of power usage - but in fairness I never really tried to optimise them for power usage on ETH, and they certainly hit 28.5 (or a bit more on the Gigabyte full-length cards) easily enough.

I think around $200 RX470 is still the best ETH card, best bang for the buck.

With good customs roms, 28-30MHs at 100w, is achievable easy.

Those Katana's after much reading are clocked lower but can throttle up when fans speeds up.

The spacing is just sweet - perfect for 4 x Katana rig.

Now if only the 2nd slimmest 1070s are available...

what brand/models do you use to achieve stable 28-30MHs with rx470 ?

To be fully stable and avoid rejects, I'm generally closer to 27MHs.

with custom roms, sapphire 470 nitro OC 4gb, hynix memory even 29.XXMH no issues on Windows.
on smos, 27-28MH easily achievable, cool and about 1000w only 6 x cards - for 470 thats quite an achievement.
Thats why the 470 is easily the likely mining card winner and also hard to find.
BBT had tested RX570 doing 168MH on smos on custom roms.

Skein is super easy to get going on zpool and is very profitable right now Smiley
My 1080ti's can break ~1000 h/s and it doesn't appear to be too taxing

Grab Nemos miner and he has precompiled miners in there - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1777336.0
Then use ccminerAlexis78.exe and run the following command:
Code:
ccminerAlexis78.exe -r 0 -a skein -o stratum+tcp://skein.mine.zpool.ca:4933 -u YOURBITCOINADDRESS -p c=BTC
