Does ccminer have an issue mining sia?

I can mine just fine doing skein, but when I setup a batch file to do sia, and point it at a sia pool that I use, it errors out.

Both regular ccminer and the Alexis fork.

I really don't even know where to ask this but since skein is down about 44% I'm just wondering would it be better if I just solo mined?

I'm currently on zpool but since I'm at about 60GH would solo mining be more profitable - and how would you set it up?

ya i think so, but im not understanding it....how is eth profitable to mine? i just watched someone build a 6 card 1070 rig on youtube and started it up, the numbers only seemed to be in the $25/day for a 6 gpu rig

Awesome thanks man.  Is exactly the same as my batch and I have confirmed on nicehash it is coming in nice and fast.  Am making $3 US more a day than nicehash program.   Now I just have to figure out a way to turn my mining profits into actual money.

Yes per card.  Nicehash program just mines whatever it wants.  It was giving me around $7-8 per 1080ti.   If I use EWBF I think it gives 720 H/s vs whatever nicehash program uses and only gets 500 so it never really mines zec.

With EWBF I get 10-11$ per day and just point it to nicehash  pool to auto convert to BTC.

The AMD 500/400 are basically sold out world wide -- how good is Vega and is it worth the wait?

Well some are not waiting and for ETH, 1070s and 1050tis are the ones to watch, at the right settings they are as good as the AMD 400/500 series even lower wattage.

The faster 1080tis however are heavy ZEC miners, 600-700sols per card because of the high amount of cores.

I can do 35-37mh on a 1080ti.

If the card has earned enough  then mining it on eth is viable.

Ie you got a 1080ti April 5 and have mined it for 65 days  earning 8 a day after power

Keep it realistic and practical, all of us spends a lot of money on mining equipment so you need to get them to work 24x7 asap, as stable and consistent as possible.

Moving from Windows to smOS Linux, deploying SRR and switching from ATX PSU to server PSU, were 3 major decisions that simplified mining operations -- and gained savings, less headache, more sleep.... in the long run.

Avoid the 7,8,9 card experiments (I thank my lucky stars on bailing out on Pandaminers) because every downtime is money not realized. Every disruption to hash not being submitted to stratum server, will result in inefficient speed to confirmed hash at poolside so if you have servers that are misbehaving, you need to stabilize them. OC is fun, but I learnt my lesson, undervolting is critically mandatory for mining farms.

The bigger the rigs, the bigger the PSUs, cooling issues and riser nightmares -- keep them simple like Phil's strategy.

Meanwhile, I started a mini NVIDIA farm 14 x Zotac 1070 Minis and 14 x 1080tis (GA-Auros, Zotac, Asus).

Still tweaking here and there with fullzero's NVOC Linux and soon smOS.

Its great to be mining this year and beyond -- I hope it will last loooong time!

my rigs at the solar array  are all designed for uptime.  I don't have prefect access  to the array gear so uptime = king.

My amd rigs  at the array are now all up more then 4 weeks zero issues.
My nvidia rigs less time but that is due to some tweaking and setup time.

I know they are very good on warranty service with the few pus's I killed 3 of 30 went dead.   2 on a bad mobo the other was pushed for a few years.

a lower start clock can be helpful if you are in a hot spot and want to clock low.

In your case  do you want quiet ones and will you have a lot of space between with a riser build  get the cheapest 2 fan model.  if one of them has locked fans do not get it .  miners do not want or need or should ever use auto fan settings.

I have a lot of space but would prefer quiet model as it will be in my house. also in pretty cold location.

and yes the fan is my real concern. I am just not sure which model has locked fans or not. I just heard randomly on some website sc2 has lock fans and cannot adjust fan speed manually. Have you tried aorus or zotac amp edition 1070s? I dont mind price being little high, just looking for something that will run stable with fan control and good hashrate as I am planning to build only 1 rig.
