I don't think so they are toying with Arsenal here. With Gundogan leaving City, they really need a strong defensive midfielder. With Rice, there is no risk as he has on a very good level as compared to most defensive midfielders in the market. Arsenal are reported to be preparing their next bid - which could be their last while City are just joining the race and about to make their first bid. Sadly, I don't think there are much chances of Arsenal winning this race now. Sad

I also think that Arsenal would have a very hard time to convince Declan Rice to join them if he also receives an offer from Manchester City now. ManCity is the strongest football team in the world in the last 3 years or so and they are also the reigning Champions League winner. The only think that could be in favor of Arsenal would be if  Declan Rice is that kind of player that does not want to be a part of a sheikh or oligarch toy Club, but most players don't really care about that.

Well to be honest, City have a very strong squad but Arsenal are just building theirs so Arsenal kinda take things smartly like if the player is costing then too much then they quit the race to sign the player. Arsenal want Rice desperately and that's why they are making a big bid which is unlike Arsenal but I am sure there is a limit where they think they have planned to not go further also. I personally would have loved to see him in Arsenal colours but City is really hard one to compete.

Rice are open to any offer and West Ham wants a good fee structure so it's only about the money the two clubs will spend now. I think City are gonna make it in the end, it's obvious.

Saudi Arabia pays a fortune to football players who have come to retire just like China and they try to design Saudi football with the money. If that worked the Chinese football league would be one of the best in the world.
And they did it again. Now Ruben Neves goes from England and the Premier League to Al-Hilal. This makes him the most valuable player in the team and even more valuable than all the other players combined in market value. And there are rumors that Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea and Sergio Ramos should come. Ramos is an oldie with 37 years and will not play so long as Neves. Koulibaly with 32 years will probably play a few years longer... if he leaves England.

This gonna be my first time to see arsenal to make 100 millions bid for a layer. I never seen that before. This gonna be a very good battle between city and arsenal. Westham knew that if arsenal has no other option. That's why sullivan is still rejecting the last offer by arsenal.
Manchester city was also still on the way to get rice and it's waiting for the final bid from arsenal. People will be seeing new arsenal which was also buying a player with non sense price.

As reported by dailymail
Quote
West Ham believe Arsenal's third offer for their captain Declan Rice is imminent amid hope the transfer saga is reaching its conclusion.

As of 3pm on Friday afternoon, the Hammers were still waiting on the Gunners' improved official offer after their most recent bid worth £90million was rejected.

But it is understood that West Ham are aware of Arsenal's intention to bid again for Rice, who is valued at a minimum £100million by Hammers chairman David Sullivan.

I hope that another bid will be sending by arsenal to the westham. Westham is still having patience for arsenal. Arteta shall not miss that moment to get one of his favorite player in EPL.

The third is Sergio Bosquest who joined Inter Miami as a free agent and this will be his reunion with Leo Messi in MLS. Unexpectedly after leaving Barcelona at the end of the season Sergio Bosquest has finally followed in the footsteps of his former Barcelona colleague and this will be a new journey for both of them to enjoy football in America. I don't think there's anything stopping Sergio Bosquest from staying in Europe because he won those titles while with Barcelona.
They played together at Barcelona for 13 years, which is a very long time in soccer. They also played together in the youthteam, which could have been another 3 years. They played over 500 games together and won a lot of titles, and the fact that they are now playing together again in one team will motivate everyone extremely. The best part is that Sergio Busquets will join Inter Miami without a transfer fee. But something had to change at Inter Miami, they are on the last place in the Eastern Conference. They lost 12 of 17 games.

Mbappe's case become even more complicated as per some news that were coming from PSG. Even it's also involving mbappe's mother as reported by marca
https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2023/06/23/6495b025ca4741095b8b45ce.html

It seems like that's become the main reason why there are rumors if PSG wants 250m for him. I don't even think PSG wanna give him that big amount of money.
Mbappe is now threatening PSG. PSG is in a big lose if PSG was not selling mbappe right now caused by he will be leaving from the club with a free agent but at the same time PSG must have paid very big compensation for him.

That makes me feel curious about what's agreements between mbappe and PSG in the past.

What is going on! now Mohamed Salah is rumored to be the next target for the saudi league team. I can't believe that the Saudi league teams are endlessly hunting for European football stars and this time it is Mohamed Salah who will be Al-Hilal's next target. At the moment there is still no information regarding salary per season, but what is certain is that his salary will be on par with Benzema or Kante. It's a crazy investment for the Saudi league team, they don't stop to provide a comfortable place for European star players to compete in the Saudi league next season. Will Liverpool be willing to let Mohamed Salah go? What do you think?

I don't think Klopp will let Mohamed Salah leave This team. He is the most important and effective player in Liverpool if he leaves his team this will be too hard for Liverpool to find a good winger like him. Also, he is under contract until 2025 and I don't think he can leave Liverpool with this contract he has.
Liverpool is going to play in the next Europa League and they are the first hope for the title that's why they won't lose a player like Salah.
There are many rumors of a change of team but in the end all the rumors do not materialize. I think the same will happen with Mohamed Salah. Liverpool will never leave Mohamed Salah. Because at the moment it is very difficult to find a replacement for Mohamed Salah. Since he has a contract until 2025 and is one of the most important players in the team, Liverpool cannot make such a mistake by letting him go. It was already a mistake for Liverpool to let go of Sadio Mané so I don't think they will be starving the team by letting go of Mohamed Salah. Liverpool are now dreaming of the European League title so they will not let go of Mohamed Salah at the moment.

Old friends playing back now.
Busquets is sure to leave because in the previous season the MLS had intended to bring this player but Busquets still wanted to end the season by not extending his contract at Barcelona.

But this departure certainly won't be a big problem because with Gundogan, Busquets leaving won't be a problem for Barcelona either.
On the other hand, Busquets' departure can also more or less affect the stability of Barcelona's cash in terms of wages which must be reduced and of course this is very good for them. Now it remains to know the future of Alba.

For some players like Sergio Busquets, I believe that they have also put into consideration the country where they will like to play to retirement with their family, where the family will be comfortable and live a normal life with them. For some of these players it is not all about money like this Saudi's offer, they also put in their family in thoughts whenever they're making this kind of decisions and to some family, they will prefer living in the United States than in Saudi Arabia. It looks like Sergio busquets family is one of those.

Don't underestimate the Saudi Arabian team, now they are willing to pay big money for football stars and that will be a special attraction for players at the end of their careers.
Mohamed Salah is now 31 years old and his performance is declining, especially with Liverpool's performance last season, it is not impossible that he will be tempted by a large fee from the Saudi Arabian team.

If you look at the current Liverpool team, of course, they still really need mistakes, especially after being left by Mane and Ferminho, only their own mistakes are left for their senior strikers, but all of that is the decision of the players.
There would be no questions about Saudi influence and money in soccer but still we have many things which are not possible with these and many players still want to stay here in European clubs for their career and achievements which are not possible in Saudi League they used their first signing Ronaldo as their weapon and now trying their all way for more stars and intention from the soccer world.

Here agreed it's no all about club it's also player who want to stay here or just want millions of $ now Liverpool is also at crucial stage as they already lost their best strikers and if Mohammad Salah also gone then surely they can face disaster in their next season which could be not good for them but most chances Mohammad Salah will not go through with this all.

But believing in upright character and worthy goals of players is ignorant of the structural consequences the Saudi sports policies entail. When Saudi money keeps rising or even being at the same level, it is so tempting for players to make the decision at younger stages of their career to go to Saudi Arabia unless European clubs raise their salaries as well to make it less painful to reject offers from Saudi Arabia. While 8 million per year were enough a decade ago to keep a 20 years of age player in your club or in your league, this has already drastically changed. Bellingham and even many others ask around 20 million these days. If now the Saudi money opens new doors to new heights at the youngest ages, all the clubs have to disregard their former limits and raise salaries as well. That will make the sport more expensive for everyone and while the Saudis don't care and would subsidize it nationally, European sport becomes more expensive but entails negative consequences also for the fans. There is a a whole new dimension of the business model of transfers and salaries in the making.

Saudi Arabia pays a fortune to football players who have come to retire just like China and they try to design Saudi football with the money. If that worked the Chinese football league would be one of the best in the world. How logical it is to transfer football players who have come to the end of their careers for advertising purposes. Any football player who comes to the end of his career always accepts high offers. We understand from the success of China in football that money is not everything. Have you ever seen a football player at the beginning or peak of his career who wants to play in the Saudi League? You didn't see it because football players at the beginning or peak of their careers want to play football in Europe. Let's see if the Saudis will be able to reverse this situation or will they continue to pay fortunes to football players whose time has come to retire.

No, in China the clubs got restricted by the government from spending too much money on foreign players. Ministers shut down that practice in 2021 I believe and as you can see no player in his right mind would go to China for only 5 million. In Saudi Arabia this initiative is run by the government itself. The access to resources is unlimited for now or let's say practically unlimited. I donÄt know a better term for that when they can offer a player that much money when a player is about to retire anyway.

Money is everything because you can buy everything with it. If a player turns down an offer with 100 million, the Saudi Arabia offer could be raised to 200 million. They can buy coaches, they can buy technical directors, they can buy everything. They have time and money more than anyone else or at least more than anyone else with the intention to grow an economy and political influence out of this.

I agree with you that this is not only about money but also life after retirement because Sergio Busquets is already 34 years old, even though he doesn't know how old he will retire, Sergio Busquets is thinking about his long-term survival after retirement.
Indeed, Saudi Arabia is offering a very high price but Sergio Busquets would prefer to join Inter miami because there he can continue his old career and if it becomes the last club it will not be a problem because America is Sergio Busquets' favorite place.

A few hours ago there were 3 players whose transfer status was confirmed and had reached an agreement with their new club.

The first is Ruben Neves, who signed a contract with Al-Hilal for a transfer fee of 55 million euros from Wolves. The duration of his contract will also last until June 2026. Surely this will be one of the pros and cons of the transfer because at the ripe age of 26 he has decided to play for the Saudi league team, even though there were rumors that Barcelona were interested in signing him, but it came back again. it seems Ruben Neves is more concerned with money than his career in Europe.

I came here to report Ruben Neves as well. Another great player went to the ridiculous Arab league for money. On the one hand, there are players who refuse huge sums of money, on the other hand, there are players who go to these leagues for money. Moreover, we are used to them leaving after the age of 35 at the end of their careers, and Neves agreed to go to this league even though he was only 26 years old. Undoubtedly, this was a move that he thought only about money in terms of his own career. Going from the Premier League to the Arab League at the age of 26 is pathetic.

I'm glad for Busquets. He will play with Messi again. Both could end their careers in MLS. They played together for years, it would be interesting if they let it go together. I wish Messi could play for many more years, but unfortunately the limits of the human physique are clear.

What Saudi is doing is just to revive and teach football to its population. Any player going there is going to partake in the wealth and beauty of the place.
Playing games not as serious as the English leagues with a lot of money, sounds like a good retirement option I must say.
Behind the football craze is the marketing strategy that these countries are selling to the world. It would take a lot of generations of serious players in both china and Saudi to make their leagues as interesting as the English, Champions league.
Saudi Arabian clubs purposely sign aging players from Europe to develop their home league consequently triggering a competitive league thus to build a formidable national team with quality players picked across all the clubs in the league, of course the likes of Ronaldo, Benzema, Kante, Neves etc wealth of experience will in a long run help to develop home grown players who might learn a lot from those players as well utilize and display those skills when playing for their national team, recall in the last World Cup Saudi Arabia defeated the champion Argentina in the group stage, I believe this is one of the few steps the Football administrator in the country is trying to achieve bring in competitiveness to the national team.

Today I read about the history of the worst transfers using artificial intelligence. In artificial intelligence including ex-England star and Arsenal record buy. I don't understand how their procedure works. They seem to combine the number of minutes played, performance, price and level of disappointment. But from this result, it explains that Arsenal have the worst record in transfer cases.  It seems that this can be an evaluation in the team. Good performances from the original club do not guarantee adaptation to a new club, although not all are the same.

I wonder if the article confuses artificial intelligence with mere computation on pre-defined algorithms. AI usually is defined by building neural networks and coming up with their own conclusions, but drawn similar or equal to the human brain. But if it only builds plain KIs and then compares KIs between players and says what was a good buy and what was a bad buy, I think the wording AI goes too far. But whatever they name it, it reminds me of the movie Moneyball with Jonah Hill who also run these calculations on this old computer and then advised Brad Pitt which players to buy or sell. It is a fun movie and yes I think this could be a great support, but not as a standalone tool. The human mind and instinct is still important for potential transfers.

I think its now working out for us. Nicolas Pepe well didn't made an impact like on would have hoped for given the price at which Arsenal bought him but he did scored some crucial goals and had some good assists as well. Still again given his price his impact was too low to be considered as a decent buy so guess somehow the list says right about Pepe. Anyway I am glad that we have found a solution for him by sending him on loan and most probably will sell him in this transfer window.

I also thought like you, but there were other factors that made Salah join Al-Hilal. Here I take the factor from my point of view only.

First, Liverpool failed to qualify for the Champions League and had to be willing to play in the European league. Of course, as a player who has always targeted the Champions League title for Liverpool, this was quite upsetting for Salah.

Second, if Salah joins Al-Hilal, of course he will be very comfortable because he is a Muslim and with the culture in Arabia, of course that will also make him believe in moving to the Saudi league team.

Thirdly, it is possible that he already feels uncomfortable in Europe, especially since he has won various titles with Liverpool, so it is likely that he will choose a large salary in the Saudi league.

But despite my speculation, I still hope that Mohamed Salah will stay at Liverpool until his contract expires in 2025.

I also want to add a few points such as competition in the European arena which for Salah it seems increasingly difficult, apart from age there are also many newcomers who have a prime level that is more than he is at the moment. Then Moh Salah measured that the salary offered by Al Hillal would be very tempting, including cultural compatibility, which, as you said, further encouraged Salah to be sure to move.

Apart from these reasons, Moh Salah decision to leave has not been fully accepted, even the fans did not think it would happen when Liverpool still needed his services. The arrival of Allister might also make Moh Salah realize that the option to replace him has been prepared so there is no reason to last longer.

From my point of view, i think it is normal for Salah to be tempted to move to saudi arabia, new country, bigger wage and new culture. But i think Salah will reject this deal. Salah is still a prolific player and an important figure in the Liverpool dressing room. i Think he will remain at the merseyside. Also, i doubt Salah will leave england soon because of his family.

This rumor is getting complicated. I read several articles that PSG didn't really want to sell Mbappe, but because there was no extension option, PSG didn't want to lose, so what they did was have to sell him this summer at an expensive price but that price didn't make sense would it? It seems that Real Madrid will not dare to go for 250 million while Real Madrid has bought several players they have also spent a lot of money, what Real Madrid wants is to arrive next season because it makes sense, especially with a free transfer.

In the end, the PSG management will now think hard, where they must immediately sell him, on the other hand, the management also doesn't want a lower price for Mbappe because he is one of the most expensive star players.
