According to a bbcsport report Chelsea Kalidou Koulibaly had signed for a Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal at fee reportedly worth £20m, recall Kalidou Koulibaly was signed by the Blues from Napoli last July having established himself as one of the best defender in Europe with the hope of playing for the next five season for the club, unfortunately that hope was dashed by his club abysmal performance in the league and UCL, he is the second Chelsea player heading to Saudi Pro league following the departure of Kante to Al-Ittihad and some Chelsea players like Hakim Ziyech and Mendy are also linked with a move to the Saudi Pro league in a bid by Chelsea to trim their squad for Pochettino to rebuild the team.
It's just matter of time until ziyech and mendy will have been reaching agreements with arabian clubs. The progress from mendy and ziyech are really positive at this moment. These players will be agreed to sign contracts with new clubs to play in saudi pro league.
Massive transfer by chelsea to the arabian clubs has been truggering so many questions to come. Glad to see that arabian clubs have been making chelsea's work to be much easier.
Chelsea must have removed a lot of players from the club. I hope that official announcement for ziyech and mendy will come soon.
Chelsea are experiencing a massive exodus of players. Kalidou Koulibaly has officially become the property of Al-Ahly and Kante belongs to Al-Ittihad. And then the two Blues players will also follow in the footsteps of their compatriots, Ziyech and Mendy will most likely also anchor in Arab lands. The departure of a number of important players in the Chelsea squad will certainly cause a variety of new problems. But Todd Boehly must have thought carefully and he also wants to trim his squad because he made a big transfer in the last transfer market.

Chelsea under Pochettino will certainly start a new chapter, he will be inherited by a potential young squad and of course Boehly will have high hopes for them to be able to restore the glory of the Blues.

BIG WINNER!

What a legend.  Won't allow himself to be compromised for money.  It shows that money isn't his prime motivator.  But then again he prolly doesn't need more of it.  He prolly has enough to retire and just enjoy life.

I once said, of all the Madrid players, all the attention tends to be on their superstar or we can say on the Striker who is always the focus. but of the many Madrid players, only Luca Modric has an extraordinary work ethic. he is even consistent in almost every season, even though there always goes ups and downs. Luca Modric has a work ethic that really deserves appreciation, both for Madrid and the Croatian national team.
This man always gives his best performance. in fact, at the 2022 world cup Qatar.  by the way I'm not a Madrid supporter, but as a neutral fan. Luca Modric deserves to be appreciated by the club even though his performance has decreased due to age. in fact, he respectfully turned down the offer to play in the Saudi Pro League and chose to remain in the service of El Real.
Modric, is an extraordinary Madrid Legend.

Anyway what do you guys think of Havertz's possible transfer to Arsenal for 65m GBP?  I think it's good that Arsenal is splashing the cash but on Havertz?  Don't get me wrong I think he's a good player but 65m GBP for a misfiring striker?  I think he had less than 10 goals made last season...  But yeah maybe Arteta saw something that we don't.  Let's wait and see.

And there's some words swirling around that Jorginho could follow him.  Dunno...  But it does make sense for Chelsea to unload some players.

Speaking of Havertz, I'm completely confused by what Arteta is doing. however, it seems that he will never replace G.Jesus as the center forward. So, what do you think Arteta is planning? will he play on the wing, or will Arteta change his system and formation for next season. this is interesting, it could be that Arteta will make Havertz release his potential by playing with Arsenal.
and I hope that happens as a Gunners fan.

Maybe it's really not about the money and Gundogan decided to take a chance and fulfill his dream to play for Barcelona.
Many big players have either Barcelona or Real Madrid as their dream team and will always value an opportunity to play in these clubs if an opportunity presents itself. For Gundogan, he has always loved Barcelona and since he has already been successful in Manchester City more than he could have imagined, this is a good time to play in Barcelona. Manchester City tried to keep him, and Arsenal were even interested in signing him, but amongst all these interest, he still moved to Barcelona on a free transfer. That can purely be out of love. He is a huge benefit to Barcelona next season even in the champions league and every other competition they play. Barcelona striker and top scorer in the La Liga last season Lewandoski will benefit a lot from Gundogan.

MODRIC REJECTS A VERY LUCRATIVE DEAL FROM SAUDI ARABIA
I saw this tweet from Fabrizio Romano about Luka Modric turning down an offer to play in Saudi Arabia which according to him it's one of the biggest deal ever in football. He's already 37 years old and he should begin to accept reality that he's no more young and energetic. I don't really watch most of Real Madrid matches but I did watch their game against Manchester City in the champions league, and Modric was a shadow of himself in both legs. It is still the player's decision to choose where he wants to ply his trade but I feel he's already a club legend and has won everything he needs to win at Madrid and would have accepted the deal. What do you think guys? Share your thoughts.
He'll be legend always! Modric had received an offer to play in the Saudi Arabia league, but he decided to turn it down. Instead, 37-year-old Luka Modric signed a one-year contract extension with Real Madrid. He'd absolutely love to retire there, that would be great achievement for him. Not every great player chances to retire at their peak, while Modric might be one of them.

This is really legendary and so important because now it is him who turned down an offer and also Lewandowski who turned own an offer. There are still some players who value their ambitions as a sportsman higher than money. That deserves a lot of respect because to be honest almost nobody would turn down offers that pay someone 100 million per year and even more than that. But if you look at these two players it is not really that surprising that it is Modric and Lewandowski who said no to those offers. I doubt that Kroos would go to Saudi Arabia. Not everyone is in it for the money although still I think it would be only a price question. Smiley

Actually, it is surprising that he is still at his peak. He is someone who has been performing well for a long time, and even though he is pretty old right now, and we all know that he is already 37 years old. So in football, his time is coming to an end quite quickly.

But he is still playing really well. I also have huge respect for him for not going to Saudi and instead extending his contract with Real Madrid. He knows very well that probably be in the next season. He's not going to get that type of deal. But he still wants to play in Real Madrid and at the top of the competition. The hunger of him to stay at the top of the food chain is unbelievable.

The way I see it, Kai will be much of a liability than assets just like Maitland Niles was.
We cannot say that for sure, it has happened times without number that a player leaves a club that they were playing pretty bad and moved to a new club and started playing excellently well, it sometimes depends on the manager's style of play and the trust the manager has in the player. Arteta is a very good coach and i'm sure he feels Havertz would be important to achieve their goals next season, thus we have to wait and see how well he does before we can say if it's a good or bad decision.

Now Gundongan has a dream with Barcelona and that is why they left Manchester City even though they offered a contract extension but in the end it was the right decision for Gundongan and he also wants to have more experience with Barcelona.
I knew there would be a lot of interest in Gundongan but he never had his eye on his only goal to go to Barcelona and play there.
After they reached an agreement, Barcelona immediately released a very crazy clause of 400 million, of course with this Barcelona did not want other teams to snatch it in the middle of the season.

Ruben Neves' signing for Al-Hilal is one of the most interesting deals I have seen lately. Because he is still 26 years old and this is normally a quite early age for a European decent player to sign for an Arabian team. But Al-Hilal have newly signed him for €55m transfer fee. I haven't seen the contract details but it must be tempting for Neves for sure.

Still I guess this transferring players at early age thing would be seen for only average level of players. I wouldn't expect any top player at young age to say yes to such teams. Because it wouldn't be good for their career no matter how much money they are offered.

Playing competitive for the Champions League title is the dream for most of such players in the end.

Jordi Alba has been a very good player for Barcelona. He was the main player for Barcelona in the left-back position for a long time and he has done a very good job at it. I understand that Barcelona cannot afford to give him the type of money that they are giving him anymore. And Jordi Alba also wants to get a good amount of money as a salary. It is obviously going to be the right thing for both of them to go their separate ways.

In America, he is going to have a lot more money and also he's going to have his old teammates as well. That is going to make him feel better. Let's be honest he is at the end of his career and it is going to be best for him to get as much money as he can.
Jordi Alba has been at Barcelona for a long time and they have won many titles together at the Blaugrana. In addition to such a large salary, Jordi Alba is also not young anymore for the club's long-term prospects and also makes it difficult for Barcelona to reach a state of financial capability. Barcelona is working on young players as a long-term project that is being built by Xavi so they are trying to take advantage of this potential and the club's financial condition could also be a factor in them not offering a new contract to Jordi Alba.

Being at the end of a career earning a big salary is a hope for soccer players and they will spend time relaxing in play. Inter Miami is a suitable place for him and there are also Lionel Messi and Bosquets there, so that the three new strengths owned by Inter Miami will increasingly attract the interest of football lovers there.

He is absolutely a fantastic player who still play actively  at 37 and won all the major trophies with Real Madrid, I very am delighted to hear the news of his contract extension because I want to watch the performance and combination of Modric, Bellingham, Camavinga and Kross in Real Madrid midfield I think both Bellingham and Camavinga will continue to learn from the wealth of his experience and looking forward to yet another season of clear cut passes from the footballer, I will also like to commend him for staying at Real Madrid despite the lucrative and juicy offers coming from the Saudi Arabian clubs.

When PSG offered Mbappe that contract, they obviously knew what salary they would pay him and considered it normal for his services. In principle, if he works for another year and then leaves (even if for free), PSG will not be in the red, as they will get what they expected and for which they signed the contract. I am sure that Mbappe is a professional and he will earn 100% of his salary, another thing is that everyone understands that there is a bargaining going on now, since Mbappe will still leave PSG this summer with a 99.99% probability.

Have a look at this . This is maximum greed at its best. I can't blame him for anything and I don't even want to because he is the best player in the world or one of them and he can dictate the conditions for a transfer, but now he wants the €150 m from PSG that he would have earned next season when he leaves club now. I am confused because I have no idea whether I comprehend what's going on, but the trick he wants to play here is that PSG would be slightly better off giving him the money and selling him this year than letting him go for free and paying him the €150 m.

Yes, I saw it. From Mbappe's side, the math is clear: he has a guaranteed 150m from PSG next year if he stays + a year later he becomes a free agent and can get a signing bonus of, say, 100m from any club. Thus, now he is ready to change his status (a player with an expiring contract) only if it will be no less profitable than 250 million (150 from PSG and 100 from Real - well, or with some kind of discount from this amount, since he saves a year). It's just logical.
Yes, from the outside it looks like greed and impudence, but from a business point of view, this is 100% correct.

It depends... From a business point of view, yes it is 100% correct regarding the legitimacy of his requirements. But is it the right choice or course of action for his future career? This is where it becomes interesting because in reality we know that he doesn't want to stay, but he wants to leave and kick off his way to become a Real Madrid legend. Both clubs know that as well. If PSG does not move an inch from their position, will Mbappe really stick to the contract, take the money and let two more years of his career go up in dust? I am even skeptical now that I thought this through whether this would make sense from a business point of view over the whole course of his career plus the time after the career. If Michael Jordan stayed with some meaningless basketball club only because of money, he wouldn't be a multi-billionaire today. Mbappe should take into account more than just the money he can make within the next two years. An Mbappe in Real Madrid could become a world soccer player multiple times and that could increase his income manyfold for a long time.

Right now, by looking at some of the news that has happened to these two players, it's actually just waiting for official news from the club, it seems because the current agreement has been made and is in the process of being finalized, so with this, they are definitely going to the Arab League following Kante and Koulibally. who went first.
I think in the next few days we will also see that they have officially become players from Al-Ahli and Al-Nassr.
Now there is no longer any reason for Chelsea to hold this player because they also seem to want to reduce players who are already quite inflated now due to previous unreasonable spending.

Mbappe's case become even more complicated as per some news that were coming from PSG. Even it's also involving mbappe's mother as reported by marca
https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2023/06/23/6495b025ca4741095b8b45ce.html

It seems like that's become the main reason why there are rumors if PSG wants 250m for him. I don't even think PSG wanna give him that big amount of money.
Mbappe is now threatening PSG. PSG is in a big lose if PSG was not selling mbappe right now caused by he will be leaving from the club with a free agent but at the same time PSG must have paid very big compensation for him.

That makes me feel curious about what's agreements between mbappe and PSG in the past.
The worse mistake PSG will be making is letting Kylian Mbappe leave the club for free next year. I am sure they know the consequences of letting him out his contract, they will be losing so much rather than making any profit. It will be highly profitable if they could get Real Madrid to sign him this summer or in January but preferably this summer with them not facing pressure to sell for a lower price.

Consider it this way, it'll be the worst decision for Kylian Mbappe, to see him extend his contract for another four or five years, he already missed the golden opportunity to work for Real Madrid last season, this is another, I'm not sure he'll want to miss out on this one.
Great player who deserves playing for Real Madrid and La Liga.
As for Paris Saint Germans, they've had so many superstars in the past, Kylian Mbappe won't ne yhe last of them best thing to do right now is to let him go and work with the player's you have. It's difficult to tie a player down when you want to see him leave the club.

The fact that Modric decided to turn down an offer that size (assuming biggest ever means maybe like 200 million a year) was a stupid mistake. Think about it, Real already has a good young midfield right now, which means that Modric is less needed, and sure he is still good but he won't be getting that back again. So if he left, and played at SA league, Real would have still been fine, it is not like they need Modric to win otherwise they won't win situation. That is why if he accepted, both Real would have been fine, and he would have been rich.

I am not sure if he will get the same offer next season, there will probably some financial drop there. If it is a political reason, like cultural unfit situation, then I would understand, that's another thing than football reasons.

Through the Insta story, Barcelona officially announced its new player who was successfully brought in from Manchester City on a free agent status, namely Ilkay Gundogan. This is a good recruitment for Barcelona to strengthen its squad in various competitions starting next season and at this time there is still no clear information regarding what number Gundogan will wear. For Gundogan, the atmosphere at Camp Nou is certainly different from that at the Etihad stadium, it is clear that he will start a new challenge with Barcelona. After winning the treble winner with Manchester City, of course Gundogan wanted to try new things and he decided the right choice by joining Barcelona.
Ilkay Gundongan is really want to become a challenger than just join a strong club which is can secure many trophies, respect for him. Barcelona is one of strong club in La Liga, but sometime their performance are inconsistent, Real Madrid is more consistent and full of star players. Since Xavi always like to use his 4-3-3 strategy and Barcelona only have 3 great midfielders e.g. De Jong, Pedri and Gavi, signing Gundongan is really important to make sure Barcelona's midfielders aren't burn out and tired.

Star players do not determine a club's fate in tournaments, these star players still have to play well to prove their worth. Real have many examples of failed transfers of those star players, so their consistency depends directly on the level of play of those players, not their stardom.

It's strange that Manchester City couldn't keep such a player, especially since Guardiola himself said that Gundogan is important for the team.
I understand that now Barcelona will always use this tactic with high and almost unrealistic payoffs for their players, because it is clear that even at its peak Gundogan will not be worth 400 million and now without the permission of the club he can not move anywhere until 2025.

On the one hand it is a very wise decision so that no one could poach the player, as in the situation with Mbappe, when a year before the end of his contract he no longer wants to play for PSG and now he will just work to keep his form.
But if all the clubs will do so, the transfer opportunities will be greatly narrowed, because now the player essentially signing a contract will be obliged to work it off or go wherever the club tells him to go.

This was really not what we expected. Young football players dream bigger, but when the money is big, it becomes interesting. How can your star shine in the teams here?
I think it can be done in the last years of your career, but it doesn't make sense to play in these teams at a young age Smiley

My biggest problem with these types of transfers is that after such transfers, the player almost stops improving. At least he does not improve as well as he could have if he played in a big European club. I hope we don’t see something similar like that with Ruben Neves. I was really surprised to see him go to a Saudi club at only 26 years of age. That is really early. He could have gone to other European clubs.

I understand that they are professional footballers after all, and all they are doing is playing for Money. But with a big European club, he had a better chance to get better as a player and earn more money in the future.

I do not think it was a big mistake for Modric to reject the big offer from Saudi Arabia. Footballers are also humans, and my best bet is that Modric refused the offer for family. Another year in Europe, then a move to MLS would work fine for Modric i believe. In the other hand, Madrid gets a talisman to guide their youngpins in midfield. Recall that Kroos also extended for another year

No one knows for sure what is the reason Modric refused the offer all we know he wants to retire with Madrid and yeah there is nothing wrong with that
He knew that Madrid had prepared a replacement like Jude Bellingham but the fact is he still wants to stay for one more season so at least for now money is not a priority for him although some people say it's silly. Or maybe he has other plans to be part of Madrid even though he has retired like what Zidane did? who knows.
