He demands 1 year contract with chelsea caused by he will be picking which team that's gonna be his new home next year. Lol… saudi league are really serious about promoting their league, they just want it to be seen as one of the best leagues in the world and so far the strategy they adopt is really working. Starting from the salary and the level of comfort, because the Saudi Arabian club is ready with everything. This will continue and top players are starting to think again about their services at European clubs which are often underappreciated.

Chelsea could add some new fresh legs like this and could actually make it work better. Overpaying for known names wasn't a good idea, the team didn't fit together that way and the results didn't come.

I have seen them have 3 players for the same position and buy a fourth one. That type of "lets get all the big names we can" idea was a terrible one. Now they are making transfers for not only the positions but also the ones that would fit the system as well, this should be something much better for them. Ronaldo is really that influential, they planned it all along they knew if Ronaldo joined the league he may draw some european players to join also.
