Waiting for the bomb in Serie A, Davide Frattesi is going to join the top teams in Serie A for the next season after the good performance he had in Sassuolo Calcio this season. He played for his team almost in all the games and he mostly had a good performance.

Saturday's gossip:

Manchester United are being offered the chance to sign £80m-rated Portugal striker Goncalo Ramos, 21, from Benfica. Manchester United seem to be continuing their, so far unsuccessful, tradition of spending a lot of money on new players  Grin
Chelsea have turned down an opening bid from Arsenal for Kai Havertz but talks are continuing and the Germany forward, 24, is keen on a move. A lot of players are leaving Chelsea, who will remain among the current players?
Paris St-Germain will not be hiring former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann as their new manager after both parties decided to call off the move.  PSG seems to be having trouble finding a new coach. Who will end up leading PSG next season?
Barcelona have made Ilkay Gundogan, 32, their priority signing for this summer and have stepped up their pursuit of the Germany midfielder, who is out of contract at Manchester City, by offering him an improved three-year deal. Does Barcelona have the necessary finances for this deal?
Manchester City are on the brink of completing a deal worth about £34m to sign Croatia midfielder Mateo Kovacic, 29, from Chelsea. It seems that even two Croatians, Kovacic and Guardiol, could play in Manchester City next season.

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/65931827
I expect that with the take over by the Qataris, that Manchester United will be able to attract top players with the financial power they will have. Goncalo Ramos shouldn’t be much of a problem for them. Arsenal are expected to return with an improved bid for Havertz this summer and try to get a deal signed and completed. Gundogan is also soughted by Arsenal this summer which should poses a threat to Barcelona’s bid to add the player to their squad.

I didn't expect this to happen.

As far as i know, that kim's release clause has not yet activated by napoli. It seems like that bayern will get him from napoli. So many times he has been rumored to join in manchester united but this is a big U turn for him.
So many manchester united fans are not expecting it to happen as they put big hopes for kim move to the manchester united. It seems like that acquisition has become the main problem why he was picking bayern instead of manchester united.

I can't even imagine if kim agrees to play in the farmer league instead of EPL as the most competitive league in the world.

Bayern Munich are waiting for the release clause to be active but in the meantime Manchester United can try their luck also. They will have to make a more satisfying offer by paying at least €60m for example. As you know Kim's release clause is worth €50m so this would be more attracting to Napoli. I don't think they would turn down even €60m.

But after that it will still be up to contract negotiations with the player. Honestly I wouldn't expect Kim to join Manchester United instead of Bayern Munich. Because in the recent years Bayern Munich have been much more successful in general. Maybe the Bundesliga isn't as quality as the English Premier League but this wouldn't still be the only criterion for Kim.

~snip~
Because Joselu is only on loan, I think Real Madrid will continue to look for a talented striker for the long term and we'll see which player will inherit the number 9 jersey.
The stats at Espanyol are not bad, for the short term maybe it will come in handy. At 33 years old I think the loan clause would be better. He will not be useful for the long term, maybe 2 years he will be effective, the rest Madrid certainly do not want to lose by giving contracts to players who start at the end of their career.
The transfer market is still long, Madrid has enough time until September. I think there is no need to buy high-priced players. But players who have strong talent to become great players. Because Madrid once failed to transfer star players.  Madrid must be able to learn from that problem.

I think competition for players at the top of premier league is a tough one because teams are willing to spend unreal amounts of money for players. Even though some teams spend a lot more than others, the top teams are all spending more than everyone else combined, this causes players to have inflated values, players worth 30-40 million started to go for 80-100 million instead.

This is why it looks bad for teams to do badly when they end up spending that much, but in fact they are not getting players worth as much as they are spending, that's why the bad results happen. I hope that fans will not be pissed about it but this will go on for a while longer, it is going to happen again and again, we are going to see it happen this year too, at least one team will spend 100+ million easily, maybe more, and do badly.

Crazy how Arsenal really want to sign Declan Rice, I think it's too much if they need to spend more than 100 Million Euros because according to Arsenal big transfers [1] those players aren't show good performance like when they were in their previous clubs.
Nicolas Pepe, Aubameyang, Ben White and Alexandre Lacazette, they're failed transfers.
I would also agree that a club should never pay significantly more money as a transfer fee for a player than his current market value. Declan Rice hasca value of 80 Million € at the moment as far as i know, so it would be really stupid in my opinion if Arsenal would make another offer with even more money than those 100 M€ or so that they have already offered for him.
FC Chelsea was even worse, they have paid over 100 M€ for Fernandez in the winter.

I think for that money, Arsenal will actually get other players who are going to be good. I don’t see why Arsenal will have to pay that much money when the market value is 80 million. I am also hearing that the player also does not want to leave for Arsenal at the moment. And that’s why there is a high price tag for him at this moment. I think Arsenal should look for other players to get in the squad. Otherwise, if Arsenal really wants to get him in the squad, they will have to pay a lot of money extra which is really unnecessary. In my opinion.

I am very sure Arsenal won't spend 100M to sign Declan Rice to break a record signing according to another news source Man City is also showing interest in him probably that is why West Ham aren't rushing to release him to the gunners for agreeable terms, however majority of players signed that worth 100M or more by other clubs were overated and ended as flop except few of them using Chelsea as a case study despite huge spending yet the club remain not formidable consequently a lot of clubs will be a little bit hesitant following that path that is exactly what is playing out with case of Arsenal bid for Declan Rice personally he shouldn't worth than 80M as a a reasonable price tag

Of course that's true, in fact I'm sure every player they try to bring in is a player who looks like he's only going to play for 2-3 seasons because he's quite old. Some of them have been outplayed in Europe by younger and quicker players, but such experienced players can also help teams in the Saudi Pro League develop.

Big paychecks are attractiveness for some players like this, but only for a few seasons before they decide to retire from professional football. From a business standpoint this is good, but regarding the team's performance it will really depend on the depth of their respective squads.
It's not really a long-term contract and this is the strategy of the Arab club where they look at older players who are already popular so that it can be a great attraction even if it's only 2-3 for example but it doesn't rule out other young players coming here if there are lots of other players who have been here before and it is definitely slowly growing.

The SPL is a very crazy league, basically they have thick money in their pockets, so when a player wants to recruit a salary, it's not a problem with a large nominal, of course other players will be interested if they look at it in terms of money.

I think this is their strategy but at least now the league is starting to be recognized worldwide.

There are two years left on Odegaard's contract now and he answered a question about his contract like in the image. He says that there is still a long time but 2 years is not that long for a player in my opinion. He is a wonderful talent and his performance this season just mesmerized me. He took a big responsibility about scoring many goals just like a striker.

This must be the most profitable transfer for Arsenal recently. Because they signed him for 35 million euros and his current market value is 80 million. His high effort has resulted in really well so far. Bayern Munich, PSG and Barcelona were interested in him according to rumours but it was around the end of May.

If there is still serious interest from even one of these teams Arsenal can have big difficulties in keeping him longer.
I have always trusted Edu Gasper to be the right man for the job and he has proved to be that man by pulling off genius player purchase strategies and bringing in good talents for lesser value. The club has made huge progress to extend contracts for Martinelli, Saka, Gabriel, and Nelson in progress. I am sure they are aware of Odegaard’s situation and will as well see to it.

I also believe that Arsenal is actually going to regret a lot if they make this transfer with a hundred million and eventually the player ends up not being worth the money. Because I believe Arsenal does not have the money like Manchester City to spend. Manchester City can spend 100 million for a player, and if things do not work out well, it is just going to be another bad signing for Manchester City.

But if it is Arsenal, is going to mean a lot because spending 100 million is going to mean that Arsenal is not going to be able to make either transfer so easily because of the limited budget. The thing is they can spend as much money as they want on a player. They will just have to make do with the players that they have in other positions.

David Moyes is willing to make a good replacement for the departing player, but he would cost the Hammers a fortune. Declan Rice's performance in league games for his club was great, and his market value increased rapidly after he won the European Conference League this season. Mikel Arteta has a keen eye for emerging talent. Elite clubs are vying to sign the Englishman from West Ham, but he wants to join Arsenal, which appears doubtful. Declan Rice remains the Gunners' top priority. West Ham United are hoping for an uptick in bids for their key player, definitely the hammers will missed his presence.

Several Saudi Pro League teams moved very quickly in developing their strengths by trying to bring in some of Europe's top players. There are a lot of players being linked with them at the moment and some of them have reached an agreement. They have a lot of money to offer any player, and if they continue to do so over the next few seasons then the quality of the Saudi Pro League will be better than ever.

Money would change everything about them, but I think they knew that it would also greatly support their profitable business. Chelsea have quite a lot of players in stock to sell, so it's certain they will make a big profit if a deal goes through.

The Saudi trend is hot for now. in fact, they don't only target players who have entered the age of 30+. Al Hilal recently made a big bid to sign Rubén Neves, despite not being a star player, but negotiations are ongoing as Wolves prefer to sell after a long wait for Barcelona. although the player agreed personal terms with Barca in May, so far there has been no green light. it could be that Rubén Neves is willing to leave for Al Hilal especially if he is offered a sizable salary.

A few days earlier, it was reported that Hakim Ziyech was in demand by Al Nassr even at the same time as Aubameyang. in fact, negotiations are ongoing and this has been confirmed by Chelsea. well, there are two big clubs that have not decided to bring in European players, namely Al Ahli and Al Shabab. Let's see how far the top Saudi league clubs are hunting for European players. we agree, if there will be many changes that occur in the league. at the very least, the competition will get even more competitive and maybe also in a few seasons the quality of the Saudi Pro League will improve a bit.

Well, I have a slightly different view from you. true, if money will change everything. it's just that, if Saudi doesn't foster young people by having a good academy. I don't think there will be much change other than bringing in former big stars.

i can't see yet whether what the teams in the SPL league are doing right now is the right move, just look at what they are doing by buying star players from European clubs and bringing them to the SPL (i remember the failure of the Chinese league and USA league that spends big money to buy star players)

PSG management seems dissatisfied with galtier this season because they have failed in the UCL, and they need another great coach to boost PSG's performance, i'm pretty sure Luis will make a big change to the PSG squad.

There is a big financial risk involved while going all in with all the money that a club has in the transfer market. Because if it does not work the money that they had spent is basically worthless.

But the truth is, if their team wants to do better, they will have to make changes in the squad. They will always have to look for the best combination that is going to work in favour of the team. Sometimes there are going to be bad transfers, it is all just part of the process. A club has to go for the player they think is going to be the best and take that risk. But a club always should have a backup plan.

The doors around Frenkie de Jong seem to have been closed pretty hard by Barcelona. But there are several Barcelona players who are on the nomination list to make a transfer. At least not Gavi or Pedri, because 1 of both contracts contains a clause that he may only leave if the club in question can only put an amount of 1 billion euros on the table. I don't think any player in the world is worth that honestly. But the amounts that will soon be spent are no longer normal. And how much would Chelsea spend next summer? That will undoubtedly be a few hundred million again. Money too much.

It will be a tough competition, because Arsenal will not be that easy to get Declan Rice. Manchester City will be a strong contender to be able to bring in Declan Rice, Manchester City are also looking for a midfielder considering they will reportedly be left behind by Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva.
Arsenal made a second bid of £100 million, which includes bonuses so that Rice can wear the Gunners uniform next season, but that figure is still slightly less than the valuation set by West Ham.
It seems that Arsenal did not want to let Rice go easily and had to go to Arsenal rather than to other clubs.

Sorry to ask...why will a footballer sign those kinds of contracts that will keep them in a particular club like a life contract. What could be the reason to sign such a contract. We're they desperate to join the club and they were given such an contract to sign or does such a contract actually have an advantage to them on a long run? I just want to know...
If there is anyone I will like to leave Barcelona, he is Fati. He is not a bench candidate

Sometimes players have too high market value in the transfer market and some individual skills and player adaptation is not proportional to the value when purchased. Some clubs that buy players at a fairly fantastic price but until when they are in the club apparently did not affect any results. Manchester City successfully bought several players last season with a market value that was not so high and their contribution was so great like the performance shown by Haaland and that was just a small example.

The club's financial role is very large in this case and the media continues to follow up about players who are continuously discussed, so it is not surprising that sometimes the quality of players purchased at such high prices is not in accordance with their skills when playing. While some clubs are able to make good use of players who do not have high market value and they make such a big contribution to the club.

PSG management seems dissatisfied with galtier this season because they have failed in the UCL, and they need another great coach to boost PSG's performance, i'm pretty sure Luis will make a big change to the PSG squad.

The Saudi league is basically trying to make the league enjoyable and fun for the viewers. They also want profit. That’s why they are breaking in the players who are legends at this point and also have a very big fan following. I actually want to say that I thought Ronaldo is going to feel alone in the Saudi league. But it seems like whenever he goes the world follows.

PSG better get a coach that is going to have proper authority over the players that they have in the squad. Otherwise, they are not going to be able to perform well. They also have to make a balanced team. They will also have to count every player as equal to the other. Mbappé is just a kid. Don’t give him something or anything that he does not deserve.

Real Madrid have made a good move by bringing in Jude Bellingham. But that is of course far from solving Benzema's departure. But you do have a player for the future, someone who might become one of the best midfielders in the world. And you also don't know how long Modric can still participate in football, of course, since he is already 37. I think he will no longer make a transfer and close his career at Real Madrid?
