I don't think that's how the transfer windows works any longer, a player might not have done pretty well in a season, but that isn't what makes determines their fee, what has Aurélien Tchouaméni spectacularly done before Real Madrid splashed heavily on him, the same goes for Mbappe transfer from Monaco to PSG, Monaco has team were incredible that year and Mbappe should huge prospect too, but was he supposed to be what 180m back then, I don't think so.

Now we can see so many mediocre teams taking advantage of business opportunities to sell their flagship players at high costs when there are top teams who are interested. I think Rasmus Hojlund is not very commensurate if Atalanta wants a price of up to 90 million euros and Manchester United's offer of around 60 million euros should be more than enough.

The offer given by a club from the Saudi Pro League shows how unbalanced this world is, in many countries many people have to fight hard just to be able to buy food but in other parts big money is only for one player even just for one season, this seems not fair, I even think if Mbappe really goes to the Saudi Pro LIga it will only cause jealousy to other foreign players at the club especially local players who maybe the payment they receive is only 10-20% of what Mbappe gets, and when there is Jealousy will destroy the harmony of the team.

Manchester United's striker shortage is not a big problem right now, I think. Rashford can be considered for that area. If they can get Harry Kane it would be a nice extra deal but I can't imagine Tottenham selling him to a competitor. So I think this possibility is slim. But Hojlund will strengthen them, that's for sure.

Rashford isn't so good in the central attacking position, he is better on the left side of attack, and Erik ten hag would know that if he wants to harness the full potential of his best attacker, he'd have to play him in his favorite position.

Having said that, Harry Kane doesn't seem to be serious about leaving Spurs, if he is; he would have handed in a transfer request, other than that, it would be impossible for Manchester United to try and reach an agreement with Spurs/Daniel Levy for Harry Kane.
