If you are talking about a bitcoin address of which I own the private keys is it enough if i know the seed (for example electrum; the 12 word passphrase)? Because I don't find the private keys/wallet file by itself...

Thanks for your help Smiley

Also what determines how many coins a person gets?
Total amount raised / 15 000 000 = price per coin. That will be calculated after the crowdsale has ended.

This is one of the reasons that's still keeping me on the fence.
For example you collect $50 000
The price of a token will be $0.003
How much tokens will each person get?
Is it possible that if you invest for example $1000 that you might get only 100 tokens (worth $0.30 (losing out a lot?) )

I think you mean to divide 15 000 000 by the total collected money and not the opposite.
The formula is still incomplete, because how do you decide how much each person gets?

If I understood correctly the price of the token is dependent to the money collected...
Your first calculation is correct, if there is $50'000 collected, the price of each coin will be $0.00333... ($50'000 / 15'000'000)

In the second part I don't understand how you calculated...
The amount you invested will be used to "buy" the coins for the price it has at the end of the ICO ($0.00333... in this example)
So if you invested $ 1'000 you will get 300'000 coins (1'000 / $0.00333...)

Control calculation: You spent 1/50 of the whole money collected -> 50 x 300'000 coins = 15'000'000 coins

>> The more money is spent through crowdsale, the more expensive will the coin be and the less coins you will get for your money Smiley

Hi there!

I sent BTC to the escrow address using SamuraiWallet, I imported my Private Key and sent BTC from my address (19qWxJ44u5gjE3J3hcd6ey57cm9w3YrAAt),

but then i saw in the transaction record that the BTC went first to 19Bm9GAi1sMLcgPqtUg6UL6VgAKCQzesvP and from there to the scrow address

I will have any problem getting my Tokens because of this?
Do you own the private keys to that address (19Bm9GAi1sMLcgPqtUg6UL6VgAKCQzesvP)?

For example you collect $50 000
The price of a token will be $0.003
How much tokens will each person get?
Depends on your portion of the total investments.

Is it possible that if you invest for example $1000 that you might get only 100 tokens (worth $0.30 (losing out a lot?) )
No.

I think you mean to divide 15 000 000 by the total collected money and not the opposite.
No.

Congratulations. You are one of the few people that understand basic math around here.  Smiley

If you are going to invest with Bitcoin, then do not send from any exchange!

I use a mobile wallet that doest provide priv key,is it ok if I send btc from there?
No. If you do that, you will be at risk of losing your tokens. You can find a list of supported wallets here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1917456.msg19226871#post_gen

Also what is the best to invest in terms of return ETH or BTC?If I invest 10 eth or 1 btc, which will give me more NVO tokens?
It comes down to the price of the coin that you are investing. The price of Bitcoin is stabler, so I'd recommend investing with it.

what exactly is the problem with multibit? I have multibit HD and quite like it, I can swap it over to electrum with my seed without any problems, do you still not recommend sending funds from a multibit (HD) address? I mean, I thought the only requirement is to control the private keys, a trezor does that, right?

We can't possibly test and review every single Bitcoin wallet and add it into the list. The main principle is as follows: If you own the private keys to the address, then you can invest from it, regardless of the wallet. However, a huge amount of users don't even know what private keys are. Therefore, those should stick to the recommended methods in order to reduce the chance of doing a possibly fatal mistake: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1917456.msg19226871#post_gen.

is there a reason the BTC source address must be the same as the one specified in "Personal bitcoin address" as long as they are both part of the same HD seed? I just figured that you can not spend specific addresses in multibit HD (you can in electrum afaik) so if one creates an address in multibit HD, you are being presented one of your addresses, but you can not spend from this adress unless you load some BTC to exactly this address, can one not just send from any other address? might be a little confusing, just trying to figure out the idea behind this Smiley

If you invest with Bitcoin, you will receive your tokens on the address with which you have invested from.

when will the crowdsale finishes ?

You can find that information on the website. It will finish on the 26th/27th of June.

I'm not sure if people have noticed yet or not, but 3 more currencies have been added: DASH, ETC and DOGE.
Will be adding more cryptocurrencies over time to reach them all? Yes, even scam-coins should be listed.
Scam coins can bring fast profit to someone. I agree that more coins should be added and no matter which. I am sure that will bring much more users on the site.
But how can you ask to get a coin added that isn't a scam coin?
That is my next question.
Some thing like Ethbits.
Now that would bring alot of investors on to this site and the support in a partnership between these two teams might be mutually beneficial for both parties involved.
A new alt coin which has a huge foundation and support by the community and a wealth of investors already established coming to an exchange looking for that killer coin to get people to invest in their ICO coin NVO.
Sounds like a match made in heaven
Wouldn't you think?

We are not talking about Scam coins, the added coins for the crowdsale have been selected based on their popularity an community, as an example, waves have a great community.
NVO isn't a blockchain, and the team is open for partnerships and collaboration with other projects. There is enough place for everyone in the crypto world.

Looking forward for the exchange to go live, however I don't understand how it will work on the safe network.

How are the different coins going to be exchangeable via safe? Will each coin/token use a plugin that works with a particular blockchain?

Will I be able to trade pairs on different blockchains?

The SafeNetwork is Decentralized Distributed Storage Network, it gives you the possibility to save informations into the network, but not only, it also lets you run applications and programs on the safe network.
Please check : https://maidsafe.net/

The plugin system is just for the Wallet, it will let services, users, developers, coin developers include more features into the wallet.
The validator will be hosted in the SafeNetwork, which means that every user will be able to connect to the SafeNetwork and exchange. Please check the whitepaper for diagrams.
Yes, basically it is processing assets/tokens/coins from user A to user B.

I too want to invest but what make this better than bitshares etc and also I think counterparty are making decentralised exchange. What will give NVO its edge over competition in your opinion?Thank you.

Counterparty have a built-in decentraliazed exchange, actually they are implementing LN and smart contracts.
NVO isn't a blockchain project, but wants to use what the cryptocurrencies have to offer in term of features. Most of the actual decentralized exchanges are semi-decentralized as they have to rely on a specific architecture. Or don't support offline trading. These will be solved with NVO.
Please check the whitepaper.

As long as you can access your private key (WIF), you can send from any address to the Escrow address.

Again, do not send from exchanges or third parties.

Could anyone please help me with registering the BTC address  I want to use for deposit, I don't understand how to go around this.
Hi, are you planning to deposit with BTC?

Yes, because it is only BTC that I believe the price is relatively stable unlike other tokens

Also, I would like to ask is there any development for Mobile wallet?

The ICO is doing great with some funds collected, actually i can not quantify it in USD or Btc value due to diversities of different funds ranging from Crpto to fiats.

Visit https://nvo.io to know the current status of this ICO and how to participate.

Correct me if wrong. As far as I am able to understand project, do I get facility to store my other cryptocoins on NVO.IO platform or it is only for NVOS?
Also does NVO work as simple exchange platform (obvious on decentralized notes) and has NVOS as its internal coin like YoBit has Yovi?
