Fully Assembled Unit:
The fully assembled unit, including all necessary hardware, is $133.5, to be paid in BTC. Does this price reflect per 16 chip unit? Or per any amount of chipped unit? You have to have your own chips or have participated in one of the group buys on this thread. That price is only for assembly with YOUR chips. I understand you have to buy the chips now and pay for shipping and assembly later. My question is do I pay $133.5 for each 16 board chip? I.E. See bolded above. To summarize. Not including the BTC you must purchase for the chips. You also have to pay $133.50 x (64/16) assembly. I.E. each assembled 16 board will cost you $133.50. Not yet, no. Would estimate late Sept, Oct.-ish... we hope... The chips are slated to arrive early to mid August. The assembled units are scheduled to be shipped 3 business days later. All purchases received, recorded, replied. |

Steamboat has been the model of good practices for group-buys / asic assembly services: great communication, willing to escrow identity with John, has not take preorders for the assembly costs, preorders the chips once half the funds are raised, has committed samples to BKK for klondike and will be paying per board royalties, etc. Now we just need to get Avalon to provide the samples and ship the chips (I hear an update is coming this week on that) so steamboat can startup his process of getting completed miners out the door. SB: do you care to give an estimate on when you will be launching the web site? |

To my knowledge, steamboat is only accepting payment for chips now. You won't be able to pay for assembly until he has the chips. |

About $35 for K16-board & parts only-no assembly or ASIC chips.Not sure if a heatsink is included either. The design is not finalized yet,so it may be more,but not much,maybe a few bucks. A really good deal,if you ask me |

with fully assembled unit you don't have to send anything, with just PCB assembly, you need to send the extra components beside the chips. |

Assembly = putting all electronic components on the board DIY kit = add'l parts needed to use the board Fully Assembled = Assembly + DIY kit installed on the board Klondike K16 mining unit: Utilizes 16 ASIC chips to produce 4.5gh/s per unit.
Assembly: Includes assembly of ASICs, PCB based on the Klondike K16 design, and necessary PCB components.
Full kit: Includes the assembly service and a DIY kit which includes: heat sink, standoffs, fan, screws, thermal paste, and USB cable.
Fully assembled unit: Includes assembly of one Klondike K16 ASIC board and all DIY kit parts fully assembled. |
