send back to those complain with disclaimers. but some ppl are not complaining at all.

then some workload again for you.

I am not sending anything, I own 0.004 BTC. Besides, I am not the one to manage anything - I will never manage any funds, never manage any contracts that might be there or not, and never manage any decisions. Actually, I don't want to have anything to do with anything else than coding. I am just thinking lound about possible ways to mute this talk.

I think I remember that in March '06 there was a refund period for those who did not see the "donation" word before. Maybe someone wants to put some time into this. Because, If my piss-off-meter goes just a bit higher, I will lose any fascination for this project.

Please, stay strong and i hope you don't lose your fascination to this project.
This project for almost a year under the radar, and still moving.
And now we almost in 1st step, litewallet/mainnet, many people expect from this project.
The more things we live, the greater the challenge.
Thank's EK and all others people for your effort to make this come true.

I applaud this great work by EK and the rest of the Elastic volunteer team! We need to set up donation funds for these guys! The are doing so much.

We had been very quiet for a few weeks when suddenly the controversy returned with the donation-investment theme. I hope this does not affect our dev.

I keep the positive side, people working together for a project: Unvoid, EK, Coralrefeer, Imi, by rallier ... sorry for the forgetfulness

I think we should leave this donation-investment discussion aside because it is very toxic. It would be well for anyone wishing to discuss this issue to open a separate thread, because now it is only in the interest of progress.

Here there is a lot of work from people who have believed in this project, and it has done it free or almost free. We can not waste time discussing issues that drive us backwards rather than moving forward. We must respect the work of all these people.

The competition will not work  Wink At least not with their current concept.
and I think they know that. They also know that EK created a functioning product. I don't want to brag but just one of my Tweets about XEL has had 9000 views ! EK, you're more famous than you think  Smiley
This is time to celebrate and ignore some unwanted competition sent noises.

Enough said about that matter.
Soon Mainnet will be launched and we should focus our attention on what follows next.

Lots of things to improve upon and create with the website, materials, pr and more.

I think that the white paper needs an update sometime as well, perhaps after some important open matters are more coherent and resolved.

The very first post of the thread Smiley

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

"Original Post", though it can also mean the person instead of the chat as in "Original Poster." Welcome to the world of acronyms where laziness meets obscureness in a head on collision.

Launch is planned at 17 June 2017 14:00 UTC. Note that this date can change if something urgent will happen to fix. Especially if there will be need for hard fork (we don't need and don't want any HF before launch).

Above date is currently safe date to launch litewallet. Most probably it will happen on that date.

Alright I'm not complaining about having to wait, but I do want to point out the deal with the "donation". The whole "donation" phrasing came into effect midway through the ico. When I invested into XEL, there was nothing indicating my investment was a donation. Donation disclaimers and country restrictions, among other legal jargon, was not implemented at the start of the sale, when myself, as well as many others, invested their coins.

Same thing happened to me. I invested in XEL before the whole "donation" disclaimers were added to the site.

Donation, from my point of view, is a term that got thrown around to protect the creator who went Mia shortly later.

I agree.

This is why I sold my XELs already, because it is just an investment that I had written-off a long time ago. (Pretty happy with the return.)
I'm probably going to buy some when it hits the exchanges though.

I think people who invested to XEL should not mind about the term "donation", they shall get XEL as per their percentage of "donation"

Donation, from my point of view, is a term that got thrown around to protect the creator who went Mia shortly later.

Basicly we can do three things with people your kind:

1. As community we can refund you all with 29BTC (doesn't matter if you only have objections about "changed rules", every single person that "invested" before donation is refunded).
2. We wait for mainnet and after this you can't write your "investment" thoughts because you were promised that you'll receive XEL (coin) in mainnet. You weren't promised that compute part of Elastic will be ready or functional by X date (or ever). So take your coins after mainnet and sell them for better project.
3. We (@EK, @unvoid, @coralreefer, @HunterMinerCrafter and rest of the people that trying hard to bring this project to live) can leave just now. And you can't demand nothing from us. @Lannister can send you postcard from "Mia shortly later". You can chase @Lannister for refund. Good luck.

Choose one.
