Wow, the difficulty is really going up now and double every 8h.
It went from 0.073 7h ago (3:25am) to 0.16 now.

We really need a mining pool soon!

As far as I understand the reward decreases with increasing difficulty and increases with increasing N.

Does anybody have an idea when the N increases?

Yes, I have ...

May 14, N=64, 8Kb
May 17, N=128, 16Kb
May 20, N=256, 32Kb
May 29, N=512, 64Kb

etc ...

+ from first post

Note:
Incrementing N will lead to immediate hashing speed decrease. Difficulty will reflect these speed changes (i.e. difficulty will decrease after N++) with lags. As soon as block reward depends on difficulty the reward will increase also and more miners will be motivated to join after N++.  It's not easy to predict now but we can be sure that some waves will happen on each N++ event.

YACs are mining very well on  great computers, so 42 is very relevant Smiley

I havent got a single YAC block on my i5@3.6ghz for whole night. Also, my PC@work with G630 got none. If I have time I shall try to get all my computers mine YAC tonight, have 24 of them woth Intel E5400. If I dont get single block with that power, I shall be very mad, since they will spend over 3kwhX8hr=24kwh. If with 24kwh spent in 8hr I still dont get a sngle block, I shall forget whole story... I dont need cherity, I wanna get payed for my work. have to mention, this 24 PC belong to my own firm, so I pay power etc etc...

I'm trying this on a headless debian box. What command would I use to start mining with just yacoind instead of yacoin-qt?
