Let's say I have 2.1 BTC And I don't spend it. Will it go up a few cents if I save it? Cause in my wallet I have up to about 50 cents worth of bitcoin. I started up with 13 cents 7 months ago. Now all of sudden I have bitcoins worth 50 cents. What do you call this? I only made that one 13 cent deposit. Nothing else!
If you have a lot of Bitcoin and you do not necessarily need to spend them then hold 'em as tight as you can. Having large amount means a huge profit when it spiked upward. If ever you need to spend then sell some and hold the remaining coins. Hold your coins while accumulating more, that should be the best strategy in the world of Bitcoin. |

Perhaps for now it seems better to save and store bitcoin in the wallet, because it is an investment for a good future, rather than having to spend it on items that are not primary needs.

If you have a lot of bitcoin and you dont need it much today just hold and save it until in reach your target price it will make you profit in the future. And if you need that money just sell 50% of your btc and hold the other btc and look after years the value of it will surely high. |

You can do both depending on your needs and self satisfaction. You may spend some of your bitcoin just to satisfy your cravings or save it to earn or gain more. You can also spend it on investing in which you can really have a chance of gaining more money. At the first place itnis your own decision that will count anyway. But whatever decision you will make, assure that you decide wisely because having such a great amount like that is not a real joke. It is a real thing and money is one if the hardest thing to earn so you must use it wisely. You can spend it but never forget to save for future.

Maybe i should save all of it, cause i have a feeling that my decision is right, i will give me 200x of profit after 2 to 3 years of holding it. But in case of emergency maybe i will convert just a little amount.

Let us also say that you have 2.1 BTC and currently holds it. For sure it will not just go up a few cents if you save it, your money will be doubled or more of it's current value now depending on price movements that will happen in the future. You can either spend it or save it because if it was me I will for spend some just because im using btc not just to earn money, but I use it to buy something as well so I will hold most of it and spend some percent of the bitcoin I got. That case though of you having 50 cents now from 13 cents 7 months ago was caused by a price rise and many calls it as price being pumped. |

Well, its depend on the price of bitcoin though. But yes, imagine if you have 2.1btc 7 months ago, you will gain big profit right now, it called investment. But, you need to remember that the price of bitcoin not always increase, there's a time that bitcoins price can decrease too. |

What OP is trying to say is "if", that means if time will come we will have a lot of bitcoin, what will we do then? For me, I will surely invest by holding bitcoin because it is the best way so far to generate income, also I will put additional capital for trading to increase my earnings as a day trader. |

That's the better plan. Why to make ourselves into the risk zone investing into some third party for mere profit when we get more than that with the price increase happening periodically. Just holding is the best way to make our capital grow and as mentioned increasing the trading find is quite a good go to get an increased profit. |

The law of 50's is your best bet and that will give you plenty of time and resources to completely jack it all up and lose everything by the end of the year. Lot of bitcoin means lots of money so even if I spend some of them then it won't make any difference to me so if I have lots of bitcoins then I will spend them whenever I need and rest I will save for the future and spend when price goes higher.

if i have a bitcoin i will save it because it will increase its value as days past by. this is a good investment you save and you will reach your target price in the future. |

Well that depends on you at the end, what are you going to do with your earning. But i must say that growth from 13 cents to 50 cents is nothing much, that is nothing compared to some other people that have a lot of Bitcoins. But that make person thinking, if you made 50 cents from 13 in 7 month, how much you would made if you invested a bit more, lets say 1300 dollars.  |

If I have a lot of bitcoin in my wallet, I will spend it to renovate our house and I give some to my parents , invest my money and the rest is I'll save it for the future.

I would not consider having less than 20 BTC as a lot, but I would spend a part of them if I really had that much, to use it for what I want, because thats what Bitcoin is for anyways, to store your coins as an investment. Really depends on yourself (How greedy you are  ) for when to save/spend, but if you are still starting out, I suggest save. |

i ve seen this question pop up a number of times since i got here and the same answers keep coming in. Before you ask a question go to the search bottom and type the key words and check if it is available on the platform already or there should be moderation on the types of topics here. better still am will say its good to keep bitcoins but bitcoin is a currency and it is meant to be spent. But it is ideal to spend the profit and leave the core which can be further invested or place in safe keeping, which will eventually generate some profits, considering the growth BTC is experiencing

anyway no matter the amount I would try to avoid to dump for fiat better to use them as a
it must be said that if you have few bitcoin it better to not spend them because from now it's hard to get more
