For me I can say that altcoin really do have a future maybe not all of them but some will. Eth and ltc can be those who may have a great improvement in the future and for me it is worth to gamble on those altcoins. Many people are investing on it too together with bitcoin even there's a risk of losing or gaining with these.

Most likely majority of the altcoins won't survive like millions of companies in the dot com era but there for sure will be a few winners like btc ether monero and etc.
It is true. The law of nature remains in effect in the world of Cryptocurrency. Who is strong is he who survives. Correct, and speaking of "strong" translates to support from community and its usefulness in humanity as a whole. It that coins really can change a persons life, a good asset or investment with promising results and having a tangible or physical project or product that can guarantee a sure return then it will really survive.

Of course Altcoins really have a future but like with anything though, do the research and make your own decisions.

I think in short term every thing is possible as we experienced high increase in prices of most of major altcoins such as Ethereum. But in long term everything depends on what will happen to Bitcoin. In my opinion in future we will have only one acceptable cryptocurrency. If Bitcoin can solve its problems like high transaction fees that you mentioned, It will be that cryptocurrency. If not we should wait for another cryptocurrecncy that will replace Bitcoin. We should also consider another important issue which is governments decisions. In future after accepting bitcoins by entire world, Governments would like to have more control on the system. We should wait for their decision whether they want bitcoin to be that major cryptocurrency or not.
Exactly only few altcoin has the potential to have a bright future. But honestly speaking like what youve said bitcoin was showed the big improvement of it as we see right now. If the problem to the transaction fee would be solved as soon as possible then it might remain in the future. But if not I think we should wait for some altcoin that can replace bitcoin. The future of altcoin depends on what is happening right now so if it good and stable right now then it will have a bright future like bitcoin.

Altcoins which have a good idea and nice developments do have a future, like ETH, WAVES... But not all, some of them don't.

Exactly sir!Aside from the complexity of Bitcoin itself, we should remember that there is Government, where the decision is on them. Overall, given the fact that it was widely known not only today we must concern its weaknesses in terms of transaction and the Government itself.

If you are comparing ETH and Waves does it have the same use,yes it does have the same use of creating tokens and the more projects are coming with them the higher the price goes, there are several other projects which are really good with other objectives but the success of these projects can be determined only after some time when everything comes into full swing.

I by one means or another concur with you, however, some coin is here which looks like will have a future the person who has dynamic improvement group and has an appropriate guide and the group taking a shot at the eventual fate of that coin will beyond any doubt have some an incentive in future and very nearly most of the coins look like here and now and will vanish when individuals get increasingly learning about crypto exchanging

Every good altcoin which create something new about blockchain will co-exist with Bitcoin, but for the moment they are all link with XBT value, so if it failed they'll failed too.

Right now, there are 973 cryptocurrencies registered in coinmarketcap. The total marketcap reaches 83 billion USD. Before we discuss the future of altcoins, to go over the definition of altcoin once more: altcoin is alternative + bitcoin. So altcoin is literally every other cryptocurrency excluding bitcoins. This means Ethereum, Ripple is also an altcoin, and the total market cap approximates 45 billion USD. As you can tell, This is even higher than the market cap of bitcoin. Altcoins were invented to improve upon the technology behind bitcoin, or as an alternative. At the start, these improvements were minor, such as transaction speed, hashing algorithm, distribution of coins, et cetera. However, recently altcoins have distinctive concepts and strengths such as social media (Steemit) or casino (Edgeless). If bitcoin, the key currency of the cryptocurrency market manages to keep itself upright, altcoins will serve an important part in blockchains developing and expanding beyond its function as an e-currency. In conclusion, yes, if altcoins’ functions are attractive to investors, altcoins have plenty future value.

Well now we are enterning that whole crypto boom and everyone wants to make money of it so we've got new coin after new coin with some small tweaks and perfomance improvements and so on. But actually why would anyone need so many different altcoins? The whole point of internet currency was so we can send a payment to someone from all over the world in a matter of minutes. If everyone use only his favourite altcoin the idea of sending money easy will be lost.
I think we now see new coins being created like everyday, because we need the best of them to be developed and survive for the future. I guess in the end there will be like 5 altcoins left that will be used in different situations and with different purposes and bitcoin will just lead everything as the main currency.

For bitcoin hodlers, we'll mostly say that bitcoin does really have a future.
And for those people that are only relying to alt coins will mostly say the same thing.
I have a thought that alt coins does really have a future but not all of them. Because some of them are just for profit making and doesn't have any plans for project development.

Yes ofcourse. Altcoins really has a future because its also like a bitcoin which is money that found only in the network called crytocurrencies. There are some proofs of altcoins that had a future already such as Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, and etc.

i share your thoughts on Wave and ETH but these are currencies and this is marketing. We are all waiting to surprised. Am just shocked how a promising coin like LTC became so dominant for so long. All the same, i will just buy waves. Its the next big thing to me

Some altcoins really have a bright future, check all coins on coinmarketcap.com , you will find some to invest. Of course , a lot of altcoins are shitcoins, be far away from them .

Altcoin is far more difficult to predict rather than altcoin, anyway ETH attract my attention as their reach 2nd on marketcap, defeated LTC position since I've join 3 years++ As we know by seeing graph , altcoin still less potential than bitcoin ( it's grow exponentially over 7 years )

I think altcoins had lessen future than bitcoin, because if altcoins value were continuously decreasing price and not fluctuating right. I think it's gonna be closer to bankruptcy, but I have selected altcoins that I just want to invest.
I was not agree with your speculation man, because I just think that this is the right time to invest in altcoins. Due to fall down of price in the market I believe that after bitcoin segwit price of bitcoin and other altcoins were started to raised up rapidly. It could go either direction because there’s people for Segwit and there’s people that don’t want Segwit to happen. If things unfold and the price of Bitcoin goes up then people will choose whatever that they feel will make them the most money. Altcoins will go up in value, I just think that it’s a matter of when not just a matter of if it will go up in value. Investing with the right research should keep you holding.

I am pretty sure that if anyone notices a coin that is doing well and has the right features that will make them want to learn more things about it then of course that person is going to want to invest in it. I wouldn't call it a gamble so much if the coin is researched thourougly while watching the price movements on the price history of the coin. People could make a bunch of money if they trade like that.
