In India for the past few years there are many rape incidents happen and there are no safely young women in this country. The rapists are not even punished and are left freely. I do not know how will the victims lead their life after such incident has happen in their life. In some countries, the rapists are let off freely if they marry the victim. In some countries, the rapists are given death sentence.

According to you, what can be the best punishment for these rapists so that no one else should think of raping a women. I like the punishment which is given in most of the Muslim countries - hanged to death in public. Do you think that this is fair or they should marry the victim???

Muslim's way of punishing rapists is quite good but let us not also forget that in Islam the victim of rape does not easily recieve justice by hanging the rapists. Most of the victims if they can't present enough evidence like thorn clothes for example or injuries as signs they struggled with the rapists, the victim herself or himself must be killed. No one will marry her and she will be considered defiled and unclean. I still think rapists deserve death penalty but not the muslim way. The victims must be saved.

You are having a wrong impression about the punishment of rape under the Islamic law. In Islamic nations, less than 1% of the actual rapes are reported. This is due to the fact that if they are reported, then the victim is more likely to face the punishment than the perpetrator.

I think the best way to prevent these rapists is to have a law to castrate anyone who rape. I think killing somebody because of rape is overreacting, the guy should live but without a penis. This law will prevent most rapists from raping women. Death isn't the answer to this case.

I'd go a little further than castration and remove their little willies too. Every time they have to sit down for a piss it'll remind them. The reoffending rate appears to be off the scale so I don't think there's much else you can do.

Death penalty for a crime of rape seems to be too easy for the criminal to bear. in my own opinion, i think it's better for them to put behind bars for the rest of their life, and not giving them opportunity to get out, for they may do those things again to other people once they set out free.

I think a rapist must be punished with death penalty. There's nothing to forgive about what a rapist has done to an innocent person. It's better to kill a rapist than to let him live and victimized other innocent people. And marrying the rapist for me is a no-no because there is still a great trauma for the victim from what she had experienced from the rapist.

And it should be physical castration, and not chemical castration. Chemical castration is expensive, time-consuming and not always 100% effective. On the other hand, physical castration is a simple process and it doesn't even require local anesthesia.

Because of the many incidents of a rape victim whose life is damaged, including her becoming a mate until she dies, sometimes people do not want to marry a rape victim. Including in my country, the virginity of a woman is the best gift for her husband later, And men also want to marry a virgin woman. So that's why usually marriage rape victim with rapist happened.

The men don't really understand the after-effects that rape can have on women. Her life is completely ruined for ever. She will most likely face mental problems and health issues throughout her life. And in most of the third world nations, the victim will be socially ostracized, and will have to spend the rest of her life alone with a pariah like status.

Castration for first first time offenders, if that doesn't help, make it a chemical castration. If it burns more than just the libido in the process so be it. The rapist brought it on himself.

Yes I agree with you with this that the punishment of rapist should be death penalty.  I remember before that there was this man sentenced to be injected with lethal injection for the crime he did to his daughter.  If my memory serves me right, until the day of his death he vehemently denied that he raped her daughter.  Sad if it is true that he did not rape her own daughter because it cost his life.  Anyways, after that the death penalty was lifted and the grave offense was punished merely by lifetime imprisonment.  I really wished that this punishment be imposed once again.
