Rapists punishment should be either life imprisonment or death punishment. Rape is a crime, it is unforgivable. I don't know what you're getting at, but the victim of rape will never like the idea of being married to a criminal.

I think it is better if those in the government will decide for the punishments as they know the law. It would be okay if they want to ask the people via survey but it is still prerogative whether they should implement it or not. They are the best people to decide as they know the law full well.

In India for the past few years there are many rape incidents happen and there are no safely young women in this country. The rapists are not even punished and are left freely. I do not know how will the victims lead their life after such incident has happen in their life. In some countries, the rapists are let off freely if they marry the victim. According to you, what can be the best punishment for these rapists so that no one else should think of raping a women. I like the punishment which is given in most of the Muslim countries - hanged to death in public. Do you think that this is fair or they should marry the victim???

this is certainly bad, rapists need to be punished))    In general, people should be punished if they do what they can not do))   addicts, murderers, too, must be punished.

In my opinion . I will give them a lifetime imprisonment not to kill them . Because in France, the rapist is punished with 15 years of jail time with torture which can be extended to 30 years or a lifetime imprisonment depending upon the extent of damage caused to the victim . Same as well with the other country , Like Netherlands and Russia . Because if we will get they’re life , we are going to be same with them .

Yes,I agree to death penalty as punishment for rapist because most womens suffered unwanted pregnancies...this law should be given for the rapist so that some are afraid to do this again.

Many countries, such as Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have death penalty for rape, but this hasn't stopped the incidence of rape in these countries. A much better solution would be to either emasculate or physically castrate the rapists in public. I really doubt large number of criminals will think about raping someone if they know what will happen to them if they are caught.
