India needs a complete set of laws. Rape is another crime. It needs to be punished.

The laws in India are not tough enough. Remember the Nirbhaya rape case of 2012? The major culprit (Mohammed Afroze) was let off after 3 years, because he managed to convince the judge that he was less than 18 years of age at the time of the crime. On top of that, the human rights activists went ballistic claiming that the accused (all of them were either Dalit or Muslim) were unfairly treated, because the victim was a Hindu Brahmin.

In India for the past few years there are many rape incidents happen and there are no safely young women in this country. The rapists are not even punished and are left freely. I do not know how will the victims lead their life after such incident has happen in their life. In some countries, the rapists are let off freely if they marry the victim. In some countries, the rapists are given death sentence.

According to you, what can be the best punishment for these rapists so that no one else should think of raping a women. I like the punishment which is given in most of the Muslim countries - hanged to death in public. Do you think that this is fair or they should marry the victim???

A Death penalty for rape for me of an adult woman or man is not fair. But if he rapes a child and do multiple crime oh he should be shoot right away. With regard marrying your rapist, a do not agree to that. Technically you just give authority to men any women they like as long as they will marry them . It will be against the will of the victim to marry her rapist.

Death penalty. People should be afraid of what can happen on them when they rape a certain person. They should know and aware of what punishment they are facing if they do that.

Well the punishment for the rapist anyway should be death penalty, so that anyone who will try to attempt to do this kind of a crime will have a fear for not doing it. Though it seems like a big punishment but I think it will become an effective way to implement it to prevent a rape case.

Emasculation will be much better than castration. Physical or chemical castration just involves the removal of the testicles. The individual may remain sexually active even after the procedure and there is a danger that he may repeat his crime in the future. An emasculation (removal of the penis) procedure eradicates this possibility and makes the society safer from perverts.

i think the best way to punish the rapists is get them on unknown island that no resources at all and can't get out. Why? cause so that they realize how hard to live or how important something that people want to keep.
