How much mhs vega 56 with ETH and equihash algo ? Thanks .

ETH is dead for me, and it should be to any Vega mining.

I think the max you can get with V64 bios, regedit changes and blockchain drivers is 44MH/s. Even if Vega was able to do 70MH/s ETH, Monero is still more profitable.

ETH will come back after fork with diff bomb disabled.
But we need some boost to 50-60mhs for Vega to be good with ETH.
I think it is possible but we need some good coder to make 2-dag eth miner for vega.
I guess Wolf0 already has one and sold it to some big farmers.

Did a few tests from 1700 to 1800 with multiples of 8.

2016 / 1736 are the values that gave me more hash.

I'll leave it runing now to check its stability and more accurate over the time values.

Wasn't aware of that incoming fork "feature" but doesn't that sound like they are desperate trying to save the coin? Before Vega hash rates on Monero jumping sky high, it was reading and comparing Monero to Ethereum what made me stick to XMR.

On NiceHashMinerLegacy, my VEGA only get 1.2kH/s on CryptoNight (sgminer and Claymore Cryptonote 10.2), even after tweaking in Wattman. Also, my PC crash and reboot a lot since I have the VEGA, never did before when I had my NVIDIA GTX1060.  I use the Beta Blockchain driver.

With Nicehash, it seems to always choose DaggerLbry (give 0.4495 mBTC/day) while the 2 CryptoNight (if forced) only gives 0.33 to 0.39 mBTC/day).

I suppose that choosing the best Monero Pool + using XMR-Stack-AMD will give a better payout than that ??

With the WattMan tweaks (-30, 900Memomy, -25%, fan at 3500RPM), I get 310W at the wall mining with a single Vega64 + a Ryzen 1700 oc to 3.65Ghz.  The Idle = 90-95W.  If I do not mine with the Ryzen, it drops to 270W at the wall mining only with the Vega64.

This thing is pretty unstable, I hope that it will get better stability eventually.

Questions for the pros :

1. Where do you guys get the XMR-Stack-AMD compiled ?  There seem to be lots of forks, which one is the best?
2. What is the best Monero Pool ?
3. What is the Wallet you use for Monero ?  Is mining into an Exchange address is OK?
4. I want to monetize the mining until the ROI is attained, so I Plan to sell the coins weekly/monthly, is this good strategy?

Thanks !

That's not bad at all. are these 56s with the 64 bios and power mods?

with 2 x 56s stock I get

Code:

HASHRATE REPORT

Yup. V56 flashed to V64 (Air). So far the hash rate has been floating between 5650 and 5750, which I assume is related among many other things, with the variable difficulty.
the 15min average is at 5701

Hi, I have a weird problem with my vega64. (only 1 card)

I use the Vega64SoftPowerTableEditor to edit MorePowerVega64_142_Modded.reg,
Changed some value:

P1 to 991  / 810
P2 to 1084 / 820
P3 to 1138 / 830
P4 to 1170 / 840
P5 to 1240 / 860
P6 to 1320 / 880
P7 to 1408 / 910

After all settings, my vega64 can work at 1950+ h/s, but voltage is 0.988v in HwInfo64, not 0.910v.

https://i.imgur.com/7l0mJX6.jpg

The core / ram clock is correct.

Card: Silver Vega64 air cooler w/ stock BIOS
OS: Win10 64bit
Drv: AMD blockchain beta (Aug/23)

Reboot - did.
Reset wattman and set to manual and apply - did.

What I lost?  Huh  thanks.

Yes, I'm talking about 0.875 reading in hwinfo (sensors only). You will get it if you set 900-905mV in patch.
I also had problems with hwinfo system hang but solved it with disabling I2C for gpu in settings as Mumak, hwinfo author, advised.

I'm with 905mV on all cards now.
https://imgur.com/a/3WXyz

0.875 VDDC Smiley At the wall it dropped to 525W Cheesy -35W

I'm comfortable with this power count so I'll not try to stress the cards even more with 900.

Last I want to try is new intensity values. Atm I'm with 2016/1700. 1800 on the second one gave lower hash.

Can you please resummarize your regedit settings, Hallea, after all the changes? Appreciate the help and feedback!

I've just build a mixed rig on h110 with some leftover 4*570 2*vega rx and 2*vega fe and I'm having some weird issues with the FEs - the drivers wont install for those. So far I tried blockchain drv only(which should work) and it's still "MS adapter" in device manager... the system RAM is 8gb, will go and add another stick tomorrow... Do you have any other ideas on the issue?

EDIT: apparently Radeon PRO set of drivers is what needed for Vega FE...

Hi all,

I've just posted a guide on reddit to help others. It will get more visibility and traction there, I hope.
There's some info I don't know like the V64 power consumption at .875 VDDC, so you're all invited to jump in and add your input.

My .reg file is there to download. Added another one for 1050 MHz if your card doesn't support the 1100.
