have some strange issue

first time i tried to install driver without radeon settings.
after installation i set ulps and crossfire autolink = 0 on both cards
after reboot HWInfo shows me, that crossfire is on - but it shows me that GPU compute Usage = 100% - i had to insall radeon settings and disable crossfire there on both cards - but now, HWInfo show me that GPU compute usage = 0%

WTF?!

I think we need to wait for the consumer cards to get into the wild so the programmers can play with them before we know their real potential.Also the only cards available ATM are the workstation model which are never good for mining compared to the gaming models  Cool
and how long does it take to wait after implementation, when the user can see the real value of the project? Different teams work differently and it happens that the potential is visible after years.

Do you mean a bios for a Vega 64 with Hynix mem ? Hynix does not manufacture any Vega 64.

I'm 99% sure there is no Vega 64 bios because there is no such thing as a Hynix 64.

There has never been a Hynix Vega 64.

you need to switch to the other bios, reference vegas have 2 different bios... one is locked and not flashable

How much of a boost would I be getting by flashing my vega56's? Running pretty stable at ~2000 H/s on CNv7 at the moment.

Hello everyone!!

I just bought 2 rx vega, the fantastic powercolor rx vega 64 red devil and asus strix rx vega 56.

I've been reading so many guides (boring and extensive xD, and also a little complicated for people with few time to tweak them), so I would like to get as higher hashrate on monero as possible but without flashing bios or using powerplay tables.

So, my first question is:

- How much could I expect from them with stock bios but overclocked as high as possible?

And also:

- Which is the easiest mode to obtain highest hashrate? Maybe doing like mate "Hellae" (post #513)?

"Got my 3 x Vega 56, with original BIOS, doing 1800 H/s (XMR) @ 160W each. Total system on the wall: 570W (cause iGPU is active)

The system is stable, mining non-stop.

64 bios only helps to increase power consumption... unless you use the Soft Power Table at Windows regedit. This method, way more complicated, will push the V56 to stable 1880H/s with slightly less power (560W for 3 V56).

Wattman Settings (Blockchain Beta driver):
-30% GPU Frequency;
950 HBM Frequency;
Fans at 3500 - MAX (Ignore core thermals. What you need is to have the memory below 70º to keep the high hash rate. An undervolted gpu will be fresh enough to not auto raise the blower speed, hence not cooling the memory. At 25ºC ambient temperature I needed 3500RPM set at min speed);
Power Limit -20%.

Globaldrive settings (Blockchain Beta driver):
Crossfire disabled;
HBCC on, at max memory available (I'm with 16Gb RAM)."

Thanks in advance!!

I'd hop over to the newest drivers. They work fine and give you better control.
Don't be scared of powerplay tables. OverdriveNtool is your friend.
