Yes... but... the TA for BTC must do its thing... it will bring BCH (and all others) down with it. Everything will drop very hard.

My opinion only of course... and my hope! Hahhha... I want cheap BCH. Grin Grin Grin Grin
ta and crypto .....doesnt work for all,
theres alot of reading between the lines and a deeper understanding of crypto helps.
The key is, seeing the growing demand, knowing the limited supply,
people wanting in at a gd position and players not willing to lose position...hope i make sense  Cheesy

I honestly cannot tell if it was designed to work this way or just a huge glaring oversight due to being rushed and no testing

That you cannot tell is, telling.  Grin

I have no doubt this is working as intended, to suggest otherwise means they are just really lucky, I think not.

Here tek goes again with the EDA FUDing. The truth is that diff adjustments in BTC are fatally flawed. The Segwit coin is susceptible to a coin death spiral, which occurs if mining power decreases rapidly for some reason (like, say, China raiding and shutting down mining facilities... just sayin'). If diff doesn't adjust soon enough, as a result there can be no blocks mined for up to a month. This means no transactions can happen and the coin value drops off a cliff. This hasn't happened, but it could.

BCH tries to mitigate this problem by having emergency diff adjustments if hashpower really drops. Obviously the BCH coin has more hashpower than anticipated, so prices and mining are up and down a bit. Nonetheless, BCH is NOT susceptible to the death spiral phenomenon.

As far as "gaming the system", that's what miners do at all times with every coin - that's their economic incentive, and they would be foolish not to! Even if the coinbase issuance is not completely linear, what is the consequence?

Until this coin stabilizes the difficulty/hash/price parameters, it will remain nonviable. The constant triggering of EDA will prevent it from being competitive with BTC.

Isnt the function of EDA to ensure Bitcoin Cash remains competitive with Bitcoin Segwit?

I've tried to explain this at least 5 times, these FUDsters just run when they figure out again that their beloved Segwitcoin is actually the one with the "difficult" problem.

Then I hear these same people saying they like Lightning Network. I suppose they haven't really figured out that it can't be any better than Paypal and credit cards  by design.

As for "liking banks", I can't even...

Is it really that hard to type https://www.BitcoinCash.org that you have to use the t.co address? I hate these URL shortenings services. I want to know where the hell a link I click on is taking me! URL shortenings are completely idiotic! Specially in a forum like this, they serve no purpose at all but only to hide the actual URL link.

URL Shorterners can be used to track people that visit the link but when it just goes straight to a standard URL then yes its stupid
Yes I have a URL short link for my amazon ones below in the signature but these are the links that amazon generates for me and looks better that having a huge line of variables

Bitcoin cash price recovered from the $301 low but faced a major hurdle against the US Dollar.
There is a crucial bearish trend line with resistance at $475 forming on the 4-hours chart of BCH/USD (data feed from Kraken).
The pair might continue to struggle to break the $450-475 resistance in the near term.
Bitcoin cash price is recovering above $400 against the US Dollar. However, a major resistance near $475 is intact for BCH/USD on the upside. Tooo the moon Cheesy

Kraken can be a little weird though. You should do this on something bigger, Bitfinex data feed for example.
Well... show something bigger to me based on your analysis technical, show me your skills analysis technical of bitcoin cash data feed from bitfinex, i want to know about it, as comunity of bitcoin cash it will be better for comunity of bitcoin cash than just complaining and blaming the other users on here, so show up your skill about prediction of BCH's price, is it work or not.

My advice for everyone that they needs to do is to see technical specifications of BCH and the new BTC for them to understand that BCH is actually the true Bitcoin and current BTC is some Frankenstein monster.

I don't understand why somebody bother coming in here and trying to derail the thread every now and then. Pretty disrespectful and bad forum manners on their part.

Please be patient to your language and learn on how to give respect to others.

Which one is it then - "is the real bitcoin" or "will become bitcoin"? Smiley

My list of 43(+3) reviewed Bitcoin forks | You don't have to download the pre-fork blockchain again for each fork! | Beware of fraudulent AWS accounts sellers and dangerous edu AWS codes! + My personal list of legit sellers and scammers | Never publicly reveal your btc addresses, ownership or any other details and stay very far away from anybody who asks you to! | The general rule of safe buying is: if the seller is a newbie, with no reputation, with no topic nor trust feedback, offering no vouches and/or selling from a locked or self-moderated topic and unwilling to go first or use escrow => AVOID. Always check the trust feedback first and make sure that you have enabled "Show untrusted feedback by default" in "Profile / Forum Profile Information".

I think he means what I also suspect, that at some point, "Bitcoin Cash" will be renamed "Bitcoin".

We will see much lower prices before such events. (My opinion) We will revisit $200 and even a short dip way down below $100... but again, that's only me.
I will have a fat bag at those prices  Grin

Somebody should compare how many lines of code changed from pre august bitcoin to segwit bitcoin and bitcoincash bitcoin respectively.

Why?
Not that thats any real true indication of whats actually occuring within the code, its interesting to think what such a check might reveal.

Both forks claim to be the legitimate continuation of the pre split bitcoin. Ok, now who modified the code base the most?

Too soon! Grin ...I hope BTC does the big dip down to below $3000 soon which everyone is waiting for. *lol* ...so I can buy BCH! Cool
I have the impression, that BitCash is moving with Bitcoin. Went down, as Bitcoin went down. I think, BCH will be interrsting for investors after possible second hardfork of Bitcoin in November. If that fails, then BCH could be the first cryptocurrency.

...As for "liking banks", I can't even...

Well, I know it's all cool and hip to hate banks but I don't!

I'm over being hip and cool. I suspect what you mean to say is that you "tolerate banks and find it unlikely that they'll be replaced in our lifetime". Both of which I can agree with. Nerds who believe that cryptos represent a direct challenge to fiat empires are a bit overly idealistic.

(Banks) have an important role and function in our modern society. We will always have banks, perhaps a little different setup than today in the future but we will still have banks. Thinking that just with a blockchain, we no longer need banks, rules and regulations and government oversight is very naïve in my humble opinion.

Not only that but also most people need the stability which banks offer. Money is not just money. Money is life. All these life hours you put into work, they convert into money. Thinking some random guys somewhere setting up a server and running a few full nodes will replace banking is almost childish.

Not a personal attack, just my opinions.

Not sure where you're banking, but last I checked the banking industry has created so many unchecked financial bubbles (real estate, stocks, derivatives), and an accounting system that is roughly as valid as a child drawing with 4 colors of crayons. Not to mention that they spy on their customers, charge exorbitant fees to earn interest on your money, engage in widespread market-rigging and fraudulent fractional lending, and generally place a burden on almost all economic activity. Oh, and I did I mention that they work fist in glove with repressive money-printing governments and multinationals to part the masses from their wealth?

So I don't see the "stability which banks offer".  And I think if you truly love and value your money, you'll be best off to keep it safe from the centrally controlled banking system any way that you can. The simple fact is that Bitcoin and cryptos came about precisely when they did because the financial sector had become a giant self-serving fraud and generally a cancer on society. IMHO our recent thread about exchanges and Tether demonstrates exactly what happens when you take the legacy fraud-ridden banking business model and apply it to cryptos.

Back ontopic, BTC looks a little shaky out there. No more roaring past $4000 the minute the dip finishes... And it seems that all other crypto exchange rates still move together with BTC. At this point I'm done with charts and technical hokum. I'm buying a BCH dip and holding because I believe the technology is superior.

Oh, and mining BCH is still 1.10x more profitable than mining BTC.

Segwit was an ugly hack - the changeset is 6,000 lines of code. Cash changed the blocksize limit, the diff algo, and backported bugfixes (not sure of the line count, but estimating <1000).

Not sure why did you mention "cheap fee" at the name of the thread.

The only reason fees at the cash chain are cheaper then the original chain is that the hash power is much lower then the original chain, which also makes it much more safer to transfer money on the cash chain then on the original chain.

Also don't forget that the original chain just activated segwit so the fees are about equal at both of the chains at the moment.

See that's what I was expecting but I was trying to phrase impartially on the off chance I was wrong  Wink

I think that argument of simply pointing to the lines of code that were changed is extremely strong. BitcoinCash is X% the same as prefork bitcoin whereas Segwit is Z% the same.

Seems like segwit built an extremely convuluted workaround to avoid the most simple, logical upgrade one could ever imagine. Less is more. They just wanted to seem important.

Thanks for the info.
