Damn, I made account there for nothing then! *lol* Looks like Coinfloor will be then. Tongue

Have you ever used coinfloor and are they any good ?

I know they are a UK exchange which is better for me since i'm guessing that they will pay in GBP (are you from the UK ?)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=325676.0

I understand Nefario may no longer be at Coinfloor. However, their founding had him in a significant role. I wouldn't trust their judgement, personally.

If China bans mining, what happens to Jihan's operations?  Is Jihan in China or HK?

Wouldn't he be up the creek if he got shut down?  Wouldn't that crush BCC?

Bitcoin Exchange BTCC Sets Deadline for Yuan Withdrawals

https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-exchange-btcc-sets-deadline-yuan-withdrawals/

Quote
Nonetheless, BTCC appears to be taking the most active steps in winding down trading – indicating it would stop cryptocurrency deposits at a time when Huobi and OKCoin say they aim to continue crypto-to-crypto trading.

BTCC went on to add that its other domestic services, including its mining pool, are not affected by the announcement.

Edit: By the way we touched $4200 in BTC, get ready for the big dive dooown! (my opinion, I'm 100% on sidelines right now)

There is very little news that can come out now that will cause a huge dive down

also last time BTC was at $4200 BCH was around $540 so which is going down

Yes, true. BCH is looking weak right now.

It's not about the news, it's about MY OPINION. Don't you get it?! It is MOST important! That is why BTC will go down! mohahhahaa *joking*  Tongue

No its about community and developer support and BTC had the largest community of supporters and also the best developers and cryptographers from around the world.

Yes BCH was successful to an extent but its still using 99.99% of cores code and even future updates are derived from core and no matter how much some of the BCH supporters hate and bash on core without them this would not exist and im pretty sure the developer(s) would not be able to re write it all from scratch

Also see here in this post from Hal Finney who worked very close with satoshi and was also the first person to receive a bitcoin transaction from satoshi

Bitcoin itself cannot scale to have every single financial transaction in the world be broadcast to everyone and included in the block chain. There needs to be a secondary level of payment systems which is lighter weight and more efficient.

I am puzzled why you are responding to a subthread discussing coinfloor as if it is an altogether different topic. That said, I'll go with the flow:

Quote
If China bans mining, what happens to Jihan's operations?  Is Jihan in China or HK?

Wouldn't he be up the creek if he got shut down?

Do you have reason to believe that he would not be able to move operations to other shores?

Quote
Wouldn't that crush BCC?

No more so than it would crush Bitcoin Segwit. Bitmain ships the overwhelming majority of all Bitcoin mining ASICs, last I checked.

In fact, BCH is much more resilient to step function drops in hashpower than is BTC.

Anyone with a campaign ad in their signature -- for an organization with which they are not otherwise affiliated -- is automatically deducted credibility points.

I've been convicted of heresy. Convicted by a mere known extortionist. Read my Trust for details.

BCH is going up, time to close the ratio  Cool

...if we break $555, we could break $700 very quickly.

Actually it would hurt BTC alot more than BCC because BCC has built in emergency difficulty adjustment which will allow a much smaller mining pool to operate effectively.  BTC does not have this so transaction times would be rediculous.

Going to $700 at the current value would be about a 35% increase that's quite a bit and a 35% increase on BTC would put it at just over $5600

Heres a thought....
China traders panic dumped most coins over past few weeks....
Now in the past us guys would not beable to sustain the dump volume with our buy support (compared to 2013)
However todays buyers (prob since 2015) have far more deeper pockets than all of us combined...
Amongst the people that bought up china coins are the people that print the worlds fiat.. Shocked
These prices for all coins is nothing to them...the whole market is not even $150bill!

All this fud has done is take coins of the weak , mega shake - out as we go towards the $trill+  Wink

Bitcoin Cash Wallet for android - based on Bitcoin Wallet by Andreas Schildbach.

Open Beta is here:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.hashengineering.bitcoincash.wallet

GitHub download is here:
https://github.com/bitcoincash-wallet/bitcoincash-wallet/releases/tag/v5.27.1

This can open the backup files from Bitcoin Wallet so you can recover your Bitcoin Cash.  To be safe, you should move all your bitcoins to a different address in a different wallet before using this app to recover your Bitcoin Cash.  This app uses BCC for bitcoin cash as it was using Bitcoin ABC as a guide.  Report issues through the app and we will fix them.

Thank you so much for this. I've been trying very hard to get the private key from bitcoin android wallet but it is not easy for a newbie like me.

I agree and that's why i kept my bitcoin in the best wallet.
BTC price likely to drop 10 to 20 percent on August 1st when the chain splits. Make sure to have your private keys when this happens so you don't lose funds.

Thanks to the poster above (which is obviously a disguised spam post  Roll Eyes ) posting a really old quote made me curious to look back

Having a read over the early posts where it was fairly active by quite a few members and now seems pretty dead also came across this post about the price percentage which is actually close to the peak of the price percentage if you don't count the 24h peak of the Korean pump to 20%

Currently only trading at around 15% of BTC price.

https://www.viabtc.com/quot/realtime?currency=cny&dest=bcc&chart=simple

Price is now almost 10% of BTC so yea loosing market value to BTC and has been almost consistently

Bitcoin cash will be the #1 coin to hedge for most people as the new  (silly) fork takes place on bitcoin.

This new fork is imo..dangerous for both bitcoin (seg1) and the new upcoming forked coin (seg2)...
Bitcoin cash is safe from any technical issuses from the new fork.  Smiley

I def wont be holding extra btc to gain free segwit2, as this time the risk(v high) vs reward(v low) is not worth it.

I will be getting more Bitcoin cash  Smiley

There is no risk unless you attempt to split you wont just suddenly loose all your funds if you do nothing and the 2x fork either won't happen or wont gain value and die.

As you have seen the miners will not mine on a coin that is highly unprofitable and with no apparent value or support there will be little to no miners hence probably no or very few blocks

the BTC1 team are not miners unlike BCH so have no way of supporting their own fork with hashing power especially if it starts at the same difficulty as the main chain and no way to fast track it down

yea you should keep a journal lol, as i have made so many gd calls  Wink

This is crypto, events pass, new events start, cant live in the past...
(you clearly have no idea how these events work.hint check out devcon1&2 dates, then check the charts to see when those events effected the price)

For a coin thats 2months old and has its very own full-time dedicated troll , its doing really well   Smiley

So tell me...why are you here again?  Tongue
