Is BitPay supported?

Just read their blog:

"At this time BitPay’s merchant and payouts services have no plans to use or support the Bitcoin Cash fork."

They do not support other alt-coins based on BTC so why it should be different for this alt-coin?

I'm ready to see nice bloodbath with this coin. 0.12BTC is too high still. 0.01 maybe but more like 0.001

Cryptopia changed his mind and will support the split

Quote
Cryptopia policy regarding BCH/BCC
In response to demand from our users Cryptopia’s development team have worked diligently through the weekend to design and create a process to automate the split between BTC and Bitcoin Cash Coin (BCH) safely for ourselves and our users. If a fork should occur on or after 1 August, Cryptopia will support the Bitcoin Cash Coin (BCH).

While we consider BCH to be an alt-coin and we’re skeptical of the rushed implementation, we have determined a process to support BCH that we’re confident won’t have any impact on the security of our BTC balances and orders; The safety of your funds remains our number one priority.

The process of splitting tokens creates risk for us and our users, however we are confident that the processes we have created will allow us to transition securely and gracefully at this time. Users with BTC in their Cryptopia accounts will be credited with an equal amount of BCH should the fork occur.

As an extra security precaution, we will be disabling BTC deposits and withdrawals on 31 July 2017 at 23:00 hrs UTC to ensure that all BTC funds stored at Cryptopia remain safe and secure. Once we are sure the network is stable and safe, deposits and withdrawals will be resumed. Trading will remain unaffected throughout.

Users will be unable to deposit or withdraw BCH for up to 48 hours after the fork while Cryptopia monitors the networks and is comfortable that our customer funds of BTC and BCH have been appropriately stored. We are monitoring developments closely so please monitor our Twitter feed, Facebook page and website for the latest news, updates and developments.

This coin should be getting no attention.  If this thing somehow succeeds due to all this media attention, it's going to set a bad precedence for bitcoin going forward.  I envision alot more attempted hardforks and leeching off the bitcoin name to make a buck

Guess what the "media attention" is paid from Chinese  for sure Wink Most likely they will pump a lot of money in it. It will not going to succeed firstly. But they will going to pump up until first of november...So when time comes they will just fuck bitcoin and that will be it Grin BCC will become a heaven. Same media will tell you that miners want it, changes are for good and so much bulshit that you can think of Grin
They are clever than i thought....
Bitcoin will be here of course but without Chinese money involved = Drastic drop in the price.
That will impact BTC price for sure. But i will say "Fxxk them". Let them have their own China coin which i am not going to be part of Grin
The important thing they are going to fuck up all Chinese holding BCC because they will control TX for sure. So Chinese are going to fuck both us and themselves (their own people holding BTC) in one shot nice Grin All Chinese (and some of US) will switch little by little to BCC and when they do realise what is really going on it will be too late Grin
The game is to control TX that is all. They will say buy-bye tho free and anonymous money transfer. And when small individuals and big BCC holders from china do realise that they are not able to spend their BCC how and when  they like WITHOUT Bitmain and comrades PERMISSION , Bitmain and comrades will be the last one  to trade them and mine Grin
Do not support this CRAP folks. Always remember nothing comes for free. And we all are going to pay it sooner or later...

Please help the Led Boy aka Bicknellski to make us a nice Christmas led tree and pay WASP membership fee here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=643999.msg7191563#msg7191563
And remember Bicknellski is not collecting money from community;D

This coin brings that what Bitcoin was needed which is big block faster and cheaper transaction. Bitcoin core devs will implement segwit but I don't think we need it. We have already bunch of tokens/coins with segwit and a lot of other features and there is few new coins with all you need to build on it and much more coming. That is why Bitcoin should stay what it was only with few improvements and not the paradigm change. Firstly I was thinking that miners are greedy and that is why they want Bitcoin Cash but with second look I see that maybe thae are right. They follow Satoshi idea and Dev team not.

Interesting everyone is predicting immediate sell and subsequent demise of BCC/BCH  Smiley
We will know it soon..

some scam exchanges will seize your bch and dump them, demise will come from miners' attacks, not from dumping as every altcoin has some value until it is abandoned by its devs.

so how long do people think it's gonna take to transact in the early period? does it start off with much lower difficulty?

there'll be one hell of a lot of people moving them around.

To me it is just free coins.

I don't really know if I willd hold, or just sell everything ...

Seeing the actual low price, I think I will hold until November and see how it goes.

I still do think there will be some serious bounced back type attempt if people will hurry to dump for free money. I have changed my mind and now I will keep it holding and will take risk on BCC. This can exist as altcoin one with high value after came into existence like few previous did.

So will there be two coins immediately on 12:20 UTC time on August 1. or is there some sort of lock in period or something of that sort ?

Also how exactly do I use the Bitcoin ABC client to split the coins? I send a transaction with some flag and then another without the flag?

way easier to send your bitcoin to a paper wallet now. after the fork send it back to your regular bitcoin wallet. then all you're left with is bcash private keys.

no security worries and no hassles.

Damn chinese miners, I wouldn't refuse to mine it too if it was asic resistant coin(would be nice feature guess).
So BCC not trading yet anywhere?
