BCH is a spinoff happening on aug 1st. It will never have anything to do with bitcoin (BTC).

Nothing to do with Bitcoin other than it is a fork of Bitcoin. A continuation of Bitcoin. An improvement of Bitcoin. It is arguably a smaller change to legacy Bitcoin than is The SegWit Omnibus Changeset. Accordingly, if Bitcoin Cash is an alt, then so is SegWit.

Of course, it will likely not exit the gate with the same level of support as legacy Bitcoin. So legacy Bitcoin will accordingly retain the mantle of 'The Bitcoin'.

However, Bitcoin Cash is inherently capable of supporting all the use cases that core threw overboard to satisfy their Raspberry Pi fetish. Bitcoin Cash thereby has the potential to grow to subsume legacy Bitcoin's value. In which case, positions will flip, and Bitcoin Cash would assume the throne as 'The Bitcoin'. In such an event, legacy Bitcoin will need to find a new name.

( Some have suggested Bitcoindashjr. XD )

There have been over 2000 unsuccessful attempts to "dethrone" Bitcoin. The only difference with BCC/BCH is that there is a bigger portion of sha miners that might mine it at the start. If after a while miners realize that it is not profitable to mine they will return to Bitcoin. It all depends how much the BCC/BCH miners have provided to absorb losses.

Bitcoin Cash trading now live at yobit, the market is jumping and falling right now in the range of 0.6 btc to 0.1 btc! volume is at 54BTC at the moment!

As expected from yobit, that people from yobit chat are burning fire at comments about BCC

Each one makes his prediction in yobit chat.

PS: never believe what yobit chat people say, trade with your own knowledge.

i dunno what they're selling,  but it ain't bitcoin cash. that does not exist yet. it must be a future still.

Yea something like that, deposits and withdrawal for BCC not working but if you buy it shows in your account and you can also sell

It is either an IOU or another coin with a similar name. Most probably an IOU that they created in advance as they probably sit on a lot of their own BTC and can sell in advance, taking the position that there will be a fork.

Let's image that all the past altcoins had instead the same balances of Bitcoin Smiley
Now, let's image that all the future altcoins will have the Bitcoin balances at the time of the creation ...

There are legal reasons why , BCH will never be recognized as BTC/XBT. Of course BCH can grow to overcome bitcoins hashrate / market cap like any other alt (extremely unlikely) but it will never acquire the name "Bitcoin (BTC)" or the exchanges will open themselves up to being sued for market manipulation.

BCH is a bit of a joke anyways by anyone competent and we will quickly see how little support it has tomorrow. I plan on dumping my split BCH coins slowly over months to bleed it dry and acquire the most amount of bitcoins from those foolish enough to support this alt.

This really can happen. People want something fast and low fee, who can offer this will win

This is a bit of a false dichotomy. The core "roadmap" wants fast inexpensive txs that instantly confirm. Something that can be down with segwit+ LN , where BCH won't have tx malleability fixed for a while so segwit will arguable have more secure, faster , and less expensive txs.

You are 100% correct

I wouldn't deposit funds if they would be locked EVER.

I also moved most funds that were on exchange off because I see a HUUUUGGGEEE exchange risk right now.

If a hacker was going to hack an exchange NOW would be the perfect time to do it.

Everyone and their mother has all of their btc on exchanges.

Think about that for a second. Friggin scary but at least I can take comfort in the FACT that btc will not rollback even if a large % of coins were stolen.

It is not only about risk of hacking. It is about that this shit is completely UNTESTED and it may torn out that you spent all of your BTC as bcc or bch or whatever this shit name is. They do not have a test net yet that is fucking amazingly pathetic  Grin
What actually happens is that Chinese exchanges are using your BTC for test Grin
I do really like that what about you guys Grin
