you can use Electron Cash - https://electroncash.org/, or other wallets https://www.bitcoincash.org/#wallets to import/sweep priv key

i use the sweep function in the coinomi mobile wallet. it hasn't failed me yet.

Sweep will move all your funds to another address in your wallet.
Import will retain the funds in the same address, and its private key will be added to the wallet.

I'm a slowpoke and got Bitcoin Cash just now in that way:

I just downloaded electron-cash-2.9.3.exe wallet, and open it.
This wallet found my Electrum BTC wallet and asked for password.
After typing password I see Bitcoin Cash in equivalent of BTC balance I had on 1 August.

But then I've read from forums (old August messages) that I should
1) Install electron-cash on new PC (or virtual machine).
2) Transfer all BTC from Electrum to new Electrum wallet with new seed.

So should I have done those actions? Or it was actual only on August?
Have I done all right?

On or before November 1st, Bitcoin ABC will publish a new software version that contains an updated Difficulty Adjustment Algorithm (DAA). 

This is a change to the Bitcoin Cash consensus rules, but the change does not activate until November 13th.  This is a hard fork, so exchanges, wallets, and other software need to upgrade before November 13th.

We have been in communication with Bitcoin Cash miners and they are expecting this upgrade.
 
The original Bitcoin Cash “EDA” allowed Bitcoin Cash to survive as a minority chain but produces wild fluctuations of hashrate. This is problematic because it prevents consistently fast confirmations for users, and radically shifts the coin issuance schedule........
