I was talking about the current situation, not about far future. On the previous pages there are a lot of users complaining about being on a fork and not being able to get on the correct chain. But we've had 6 pages here in 24hrs lol Smiley, and now I am late because of the 80% being on the correct chain now, but Phaseshift was early but nobody acknowledged his post, so I just wanted to bring it up.

The outbound letters we write to orphans now support pictures.

I see Pablo just wrote a letter about his dog- Pablo this might be a good one to include a pic of your dog?

Btw, anyone who Writes a letter can go back to it and edit it and save it - or add more pics.
Others of course cant monkey with your letter.

We still need the ability to Delete an attached picture so please be cautious when attaching the pics as they cant be deleted yet.

The bounty is getting high for letter writing.  I believe I will be processing these outbound letters to compassion in the next few days, and at that point you will receive a type of letter-writing-bounty in your txlist in the pool.

Let us pray for the peace safety well being and recovery of those affected by the Mexico earthquake:

Because I know you care deeply about your seven sponsored children in Guatemala, I want to ask you to pray.

As you may have heard in the news, a magnitude 8.2 earthquake was registered off of Mexico’s southern coast on Thursday of last week. The powerful quake was the strongest to hit Mexico in a century and could be felt from Mexico City to Guatemala City. The southern states of Chiapas and Oaxaca were hit hardest by the seismic activity.

Compassion is committed to the long-term care of each child registered in our program. In the coming days and weeks, our partner church staff will visit children’s homes, assess their families’ needs and guide us as we provide for the families we serve in Mexico and Guatemala. If your children are affected, we will reach out to notify you.

In this season where natural disasters are affecting so many people both here in the United States and around the world, we sincerely thank you for your continued prayers and support for those suffering in these difficult times.

Will you join us today in praying for:
•   Emergency workers and church staff as they seek to get supplies to those in need
•   Those who have lost their homes and are now seeking temporary, safe shelter
•   Physical and emotional healing for those who were injured and are suffering

The bounty is getting high for letter writing.

Why is the bounty rising over time?
The pool has a little equation with an account set up where it keeps the letter writing bounty in escrow and then releases it in a proportionate amount to those approved letter writers as the letter is about to be "Sent" to compassion.  We have a flag in the back office that gets set to 1 when the bounty is paid, and the money is subtracted from the letter writing bounty escrow account.  The inflows of course come from the 2% fee assessed during the period of "dire need".

So the current 1100 BBP is not per writer, but a total sum to be distributed to all writers? And about the second part, in other words, it means that people who are writing letters get paid by the people who are not? Smiley Cool setup.

The 1100 is per letter; this starts decreasing as the bounties are paid, and also decreases drastically again when the features "off" button is triggered.  Its triggered off after the 83rd approved letter hits.  But I imagine it wont be off long, as in about 7 days we will have more orphans, judging from the inflows this month.

Awkwardly my Linux Biblepay client had banned node.biblepay.org for "misbehaving".  That explains why my server had dropped out of the pool again an hour ago (pool.biblepay.org has the same IP). I've deleted the banlist.dat and hopefully it won't ban it again, but I think the same thing had happened one or twice over the past couple of days...

Same here, but it happens again. Btw, there's also the command "clearbanned" and I think it works without restarting the wallet.

Let me know if the log shows a reason why it was misbehaving, if you happen to come across it.

Ah, I was looking for a command like that.  Next to work out how to whitelist.

Add argument:

Code:
-whitelist=108.61.204.234

But does anybody know how to add permanent arguments in Linux without GUI?

I believe you can make a call and just append -<argument/value> to any command in Linux.

So to do that all the time, I'd make a bash file and a few aliases to simplify things.

Add argument:

Code:
-whitelist=108.61.204.234

I see that other have answered your question (I always create a "start-coinname.sh" script to add the appropriate arguments and any preceding commands to).

I was hoping that you could add "whitelist=108.61.204.234" to biblepay.conf and/or in a debug window, but it doesn't seem to work in the file, and is not available as a command in the debug window.
