There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Any update from cryptopia?

Honestly now that Zencash is on Binance, Bittrex and Okex, there is no reason to stick with cryptopia! Probably worth cashing out once cryptopia sort out their wallet issues, if that ever happens. I've had a one month wallet maintenance period with them on other altcoins, so could be in for a long wait.

Good joke.

WHY come to this forum to say that?  You are using a "new" account.  Is this a Bitmain proxy?

...

His post history strongly suggests he is trolling. Resorting to ad hominem attacks and name-calling is a speedy way to get added to my ignore list; I don't mind a different point of view from mine, but once it turns personal I tune out. Also, there's no chance of me giving someone on my ignore list a merit.

Back on topic, I'm pleased overall with the progress being made on ZEN. I can't say I am terribly enthusiastic about the upcoming shift to diverting 30% of mining rewards away to some hybrid form of masternodes* - I am very skeptical of MNs as anything but a way to concentrate assets in the hands of a few and reduce liquidity/utility of a coin - but ZEN seems to be doing MNs a little differently so I'm willing to go along with it for now.

* - My understanding is that ZEN secure and super nodes require a certain number of coins to begin receiving payments (42 and 600, respectively), but the payments are not proportional to the number of coins held in a node; ie, holding 84 coins in a secure node doesn't double your payment, as it would with a conventional masternode.

secure rnode (42) and super rnode (500).

holding 84 coins in a secure node doesn't double your payment, as it would with a conventional masternode.

You need two secure nodes with 42 zencash each.

Yeah, I wrote almost the same thing in the footnote - that holding 84 coins in a secure node doesn't double your payment over the minimum of 42 coins.

I could've sworn that it took 600 coins for a super node, but scrolling back through the last few pages I found a post by MedaR that confirms it is 500. Ah well, both are well out of my reach, so kind of irrelevant.

ZenCash, the technical team of this coin project team is pretty good. I have some part of the reserves to prepare for the long term development.

I don't really understand why this coin is useful in everyday life for ordinary people. Because it's very slow. It took me 24 hours to get a transfer from exchange to exchange.

Everything is here: https://zencash.com/assets/files/Zen-Application-Platform-Whitepaper.pdf, but this does not mean this cannot be changed after some time, when we get feedbacks from this system and community..Best examples are Secure Nodes.

Exchanges for example require lot of confirmations, in Bittrex cass this is 150 Undecided
If you are ordinary user and you are sending from wallet to wallet, this time is aprox few minutes Cool

Hello

I'm MedaR from ZenCash Team.

I have information from couple of members, that for more than 10 days ZenCash wallet is on maintenance.
Please tell me what is going on and when we can expect this to be solved?

Thanks!

One Step Ahead: How Super Nodes Will Transform Blockchain Data Security

Quote
Without governance, there can be no order; this is why we should incentivize nodes for their participation. So that when a hack on one node operator occurs, there are thousands of other node operators that can triage the damage and keep the platform afloat.
