Are you sure?  Because I'm not getting any communication through that port after opening it.  Only 8 connections as well.

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

I would imagine the people trying to praise this coin are the same that were dick riding feathercoin a few weeks back.

I'm praising all of the hard work the dev's put into this, and how smooth the launch was.  So many complaints, but I have yet to see anyone do a better job.  Clear downloads, good websites, Twitter updates, clear instructions, settings, nodes, etc.... I have all orphans so far, but you have to admit the setup is really professional.  Just about everything was accounted for, I even noticed the dev has been good about updating www.worldcoin.in with good nodes as they come in.

Oh and the name is great, I had been thinking of a coin along these lines for a few weeks now... was going to call mine "World Credits" though.  Credits just seem like a better name to set it apart from the rest of the "coins".  SWTOR FTW.

I am not complaining... just frustrated.
They do have a nice website, twitter updates, the launch was within the expected launch time.

I will NEVER ask for any kind of funds up front in a buy/sale of anything on bitcointalk.

I can't connect.  Can someone help me out and double check my process.

I put this worldcoin.conf file in my appdata/roaming/worldcoin folder, as well as my cgminer folder...

rpcuser=myuser
rpcpassword=mypw
maxconnections=100
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=11082
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0
testnet=0
listen=0
maxconnections=100
addnode=71.201.163.216
addnode=98.193.75.196
addnode=71.86.91.187
addnode=63.175.158.121
addnode=82.8.158.89
addnode=188.194.8.221
addnode=183.62.232.93
addnode=124.188.83.171
addnode=72.222.208.81
addnode=89.10.226.206

then I enter command in cmd prompt:

cgminer --scrypt -u myuser -p mypw -o http://127.0.0.1:11082  ...and bunch of other flags

but I get the message 'No servers could be used!' so I don't know.  But I received coins in wallet, so I know my wallet is working.

And I don't see it on their website.  Yes on their twitter, but damn.  I have to go to twitter now to find out a port?

How in the hell is this a more professional coin. The only reason people are throwing this much hashrate at it is because they think they can break through all those orphan block and find at least one valid one

+1 Although I still think it would have been a good idea to start at  a difficulty of ~.5

Yes... I had to add nodes to my conf file... and I am still getting 15 connections.

  • Nice Website
  • Timely Release
  • Clear instructions
  • Working binaries
  • Keeping users up to date (via twitter)

He's actually giving this some effort.
Again, would have liked a higher starting diff, but hey, it's not his fault people are raping the coin off the bat

+10

Developer is really making this coin so far. Sure I have a ton of orphans, but also got plenty of blocks. Things are much smoother now that difficulty has gone up. I'm getting blocks that stick around regularly now.

Close the wallet, create a new .bat in the same folder as the wallet. In it type worldcoin-qt.exe -server

run that first, then run cgminer.

First, you need to reboot the client after you change the conf file.

Then try:

cgminer --scrypt -u myuser -p mypw -o 127.0.0.1:11082 -E 1 -S 1
