Can someone please explain me why the ranking came down drastically? Why the market cap suddenly hit zero? I planned to invest couple of hundred $$ in it when I saw the ranking in 50s. The next day when I am about to invest, the ranking hopped to 1000+. Someone said that the reasons are already discussed in this thread, but i scanned last few pages before the marketcap collapses, but unable to find it.

Pool warning for noobs. No matter how much hashrate you add to this pool they always have fake miners that will trump you. This is becoming an epidemic with some pools.

just the past 24 hours I have tested this and unless this pool operator can prove without any doubts it's untrue then explain how you had a farm come on your pool with 24 m/h. Explain all these magical huge farms that jump in when any miner gets close to the top 3 earners. Yeah you cannot, and you need to stop screwing people over.Word to the scammer no fucking farm that size would even mine this coin. Stop screwing your miners over and maybe you'll have a pool worth mining at.

anyone can test this yourself if you put over 1 m/h on this pool watch how many 'huge farms' jump in and beat your hash within seconds. For the noobs that 24 m/h fake miner I saw would have an upfront cost at todays rates of 5 million usd just in GPU's alone. I'm sorry but those farms only mine cryptonote XMR. Etn is nice but they don't touch coins until they have huge liquidity.

So if I understand correctly, at the moment the ICO coins that people bought are still stuck and they are working on all sorts of security things? And there is no new release date set yet? Meanwhile it is possible to mine ETN because the blockchain itself is live? But not mining using the app because that has not been released yet?

Am not dev and am not experience in that field but what i don't get as well is why so many insecurities surrounding a project that millions of people will entrust their money on, its quite questionable for the team not to have taken the necessary precautions at the initial stage, or is there other reason than what they are telling investors? For how long this fixing will go for? Even Mining is not smooth alot of issues surrounding it, and ETN on exchange is from mining only or some have access to their tokens?

I do not understand if the tokens are not released who sells them on the exchange? Why are you so busy with hackers? With such money you only need a wish.

Yes, yesterday I went to visit the moderated thread to check on this project and it was closed. WTF!
My gut feeling said, the devs did runner with the money. Don't know what to believe anymore.

Because the circulating supply was wrong. All 5 billion ICO coins were counted as in circulation, which is not true (as they are still locked by the dev team) so electroneum got a way too high market cap than they actually have. Their ranking was thus completely wrong, and to me it is absurd and very unprofessional  that the electroneum team would brag about their high ranking when they know the numbers are wrong. So someone (actually, me ) contacted coinmarketcap to let them know that their numbers are wrong. Of course the ranking 1000+ is too low, but that will change when they update the circulating supply to the correct numbers (all the mined coins).

Also, having wrong market cap/ranking on cmc gives the dev team incentive to delay the launch, since they can then take advantage of a inflated ranking for longer time (the price will probably drop when they actually release the ICO coins). So I think that it is a good thing that cmc has fixed this now.

There is no need for updates here, the dev team update in more official places like their Facebook page. Nobody official will pop in here guys, only the community manager. The threads here are just full of negativity, the same as most projects sadly. We all know that we have to wait, no getting around that. I see no reason why they should have to police the ANN thread for weeks on end saying the same thing over and over again. When it is done, they will update you all here too most likely.

Shutting down an entire thread without even a notice or warning isn't exactly gonna re-assure investors in this project who are already spooked enough. Behaviour like this is just gonna make people dump even more when the coins are released, and if it tanks as low as 1 cent there'll be a lot more sellers than buyers. Just my opinion.
