Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I'm not actually concerned about the problems they are having releasing the tokens form the ICO. It's a temporary problem, a couple of days of delay is nothing compared to the long term plan. However there are two concerns about the price of Electroneum for both the short and long term:

1-Short term: currently, the supply and demand put the price between 5 cents and 10 cents, while this is the total demand at the moment, meaning ANYONE who wants to by Electroneum can do so right now, but this is not the total supply, this is just a small percentage from mining that is on offer, Once the ICO tokens are released the supply will increase by at least 100 fold, while the demand is still the same, and the rules of supply and demand simply mean that the price will crash hard.

2-Long term: You might say, it's ok if it crashes now, it will recover long term. But think about this, the exact moment of token release will be followed by the mining app, while it's a great marketing strategy, it will greatly increase the supply even further, on daily basis, and the more people are using the app (which they would of course, it's free money), the more ETN will enter the market on daily basis. Those tokens are even more than the ones sold during the ICO. So a downward spiral is possible still!

This is what I have been thinking all night.
Considering the launch fiasco, might sell at any price, even at ICO price or slightly below ICO price then buy them back when it tanks completely.

to those who are mad at the miners, think of it this way, a mining rig usually cost around $3000 per rig, miners invested in these machine to mine coins so why hate them? hate them because you can't mine like they can? then go on buy yourself a mining rig, hate them because you didn't get to mine the moment the blockchain goes live? then its your fault.

If you invested in this ICO thinking "oh I will be a millionaire the moment the blockchain goes live" then you're dreaming sir. Investing is like gambling, you need to play your hands properly and prepare to lose what you invested.
finally reads this, it's not how much you can win, but what you can lose.
They should not have put it on exchange until coins were released to everyone period.  Totally unfair to those who really believed in the concept and invested a lot of money.  Has nothing to do with miners and everything to do with the company that chose to handle it in such a fashion. I mine as well although I didn't mine ETN since I bought a shit ton of it.  I never would have guessed in a million years this would happen.  I'm in it for the long run.  That being said I would have liked to have had the option to sell a small portion if I wanted to.  Having the investors take a back seat was a really bad decision on the developers part. I am sure most investors that put 40 MILLION DOLLARS into their pockets feel a little or a lot betrayed.  Me personally I can afford to lose every penny I put in. Doesn't mean it isn't totally unfair and pisses me off.
first I think the administrator does not have balls, well let's go, in reality I understand I can also lose every penny I put, but I learned one thing the best marketing is the negative marketing, use this reference, some things will do sense.

This is the first coin I ever mined with CPU. I mined some coins with GPU before but never with CPU. I have the Intel i7 3770 which is not the newest CPU but it was top-shelf when I bought it.
My hash rate is 125 h/s. I have no idea if this is good or bad so can someone tell me their hash rate and what kind of CPU you have.
I'm mining using the simple Windows miner available here: https://downloads.electroneum.com/
Should I mine with advanced CPUminer or YAM miner? Are they more efficient?

I mined for 2 hours with my PC with i5 with 115 h/s and got 1.5 ETN.
I don't know if in long term this is more profitable, but I'm not in the busyness of mining, I'm just letting you know what to expect.

I only got 50 h/s but only got 5 etn in the first three days of electroneum the difficulty is so high that it's not profitable to mine electroneum at this point of time, much better to buy why it is so cheap ignore those fudster this is a young project ready to explode.
