You guys make me laugh.... the supply is too big... where is the revenue of mining a coin that will not skyroket (x10, x 100, x1000)?
My opinion
Only 6 Billion are being sold in the crowdsale. The other 15 Billion will be mined over years. Any unsold coins are going back in to be mined as well. The amount of coins is large on purpose and the price in the tokensale reflects that, so all the large suppy is doing, is moving the decimal point over two spots, as compared to Bitcoins 21 million. This was done so that ETN has more of a real world feel to it. So a pizza would be 12.99 ETN as opposed to .00332 BTC. Its just a more human number. The tokens are are still less than a cent with the 40% bonus, so 140 ETN for $1. This is a steal when you look at who the dev is, the App already made, "First mover" advantage to successful, safe (for your phone) mining, and the plan they have. Hi, I have a question. Will Electroneum issue out more wallet types? I already have found the offline wallet. But will there for instance also be an online wallet or a desktop wallet? Will after the ICO is over my ETN be stored in my account, or do I need to send them somewhere? Thanks.  There will be the App in Android and iOS, and desktop wallets that also mine at the push of a button on Windows, Mac, and Linux. You will send your purchased ETN from the tokensale site to your wallet. These will all be available on Nov 1st when Electroneum launches. |

I don't understand the point of a "mobile mining crypto coin". Mining on a mobile phone ? With its battery and short autonomy ? I hope it won't involve heavy calculation/PoW system.
BTW what kind of "Proof of xxx" is planned ?

ETN is a POW coin with a modified twin algo with a centralized App for the mobile mining. The people who are mining on their home computers are powering the blockchain, so that those mining on their mobile phones are not powering the blockchain. The mobile miners will NOT be using their phone processing power of their phones to actually mine. This way it will not put stress on your phone at all. Does electroneum already have an iOS/android app developed that is capable of mining? Mobile crypto is definitely the next logical step for this ecosystem, so hopefully these guys can pull it off.
Yes, both are developed and the Android version is already on the Google Playstore and iOS is finished as well but wont be available until Apple approves it after the launch and they see volume on exchanges. We are already confirmed to be on Cryptopia and Yobit and are talking with Bittrex and others as well. The only thing still being touched up is the in App game that people can choose to play if they like and get bonus coins. Isn't there just a handful different crypto currencies apple have approved so far? I really don't think it's likely to see electroneum accepted anytime soon when many established coins are on the sideline aswell. |

I see your problem!! Someone gave your the wrong "facts" to base "your opinion" on. You should always read the whitepaper and check for yourself. You almost missed out. When you were closer to the TRUTH, you were excited about ETN!!!
Please I would like to invest into the ICO, but I don't know the actual price of one Electroneum token. Is it 1 cent?

This coin really looks promising, i just can't wait till november. If you will be able to develop a mobile-only miner I think this would be a top 10 coin (I know it's difficult, but It will be a great goal to achieve)

A lot of Hero Members showing up recently, I always love to have you guys involved in the thread because of the influence of your experience here in crypto land  @shtako - thanks for the support @erre - we have a mobile App thats already fininshed that does allow your cellphone to mine in the background, but there has to be people mining with the CPU/GPU of their home computers to power the blockchain, which also keeps the blockchain decentralized. This is the first ICO I've invested in , It looks like there is a good team working on it and I can see it being a success. Problems with the iOS app is a concern though.

Hi! There is no problems with the iOS app at all. What is just a minor nuisance is Apple wanting the coin on an exchange before listing the app. It is all written and ready to go though! |
