Baritus mentioned in the DGC fundraiser thread that he plans to integrate a payment processor into the DGC/ARG bank/exchange. In regard to the dgc block reward reduction issue: I initially supported a reduction of the DGC block reward. In an ideal world, I still wish that DGC had a slightly smaller block reward---say 15 DGC. However, in light of the points raised by disclaimer, cosmo, et. all, my view on the issue has changed. I think one of the strongest points that DGC has going for it was the fairness of its launch and the lack of benefits to be had by ultra-early-adopters. Indeed, this is one of the major reasons that I initially choose to support digitalcoin (of course, far from the only reason ) To change the block reward would largely undo this, at least perceptually. Digitalcoin set the standard for fair coin launches, and I feel that the negatives of changing the block reward far outweigh the benefits. You realize that DGC halves it's block reward every 4730400 blocks anyway, so to bring it forward is no big deal. But it's only tackling the symptoms not the problem. Of course, but that's always been known to be part of the deal. To arbitrarily change the block reward at this time is a different issue entirely. I probably worded my post poorly. I agree entirely that it is merely tackling a symptom of the problem and in the event that the block reward is lowered, I hope that it is in addition to a broader reform of the difficulty re-targeting system. That being said, I still wish DGC were less inflationary than it is, even if it doesn't really matter that much. As a large stakeholder in DGC, I stand to gain a lot by an increased scarcity of DGC. That's precisely the issue.

Besides, once a coin gets on the radar ala LTC, the market price will manage itself. Right now it's only really a matter of user adoption. Even bitcoin hasn't become majorly mainstream yet, so it's unrealistic to expect instantaneous progress.
DGC is no doubt a model altcoin though.

Yep its only the tip of the iceberg at the moment. Most friends and colleagues I talk to about Bitcoin and alt cryptos had absolutely no idea they existed. Their is huge potential for growth if you can come up with the right services and marketing that help get it out into the wider community. Hopefully dgc and arg are on that path with the developments coming for it

Thanks. I've had 3 people interested from the US thus far. Maybe someone can organize a group buy ? It would save on the shipping costs to the US from the UK and will help reduce the price point per. unit.

How many would you be willing to send to the US for just DGC? I could maybe buy three or five or ten or something and the interested parties could buy them from me. Me being in the US, that is. SF Bay Area. "Organize" being a little bit strong a word for that, of course. The question is whether there is significant savings for three people. Mailing within the US isn't free either.

Thank you for your interest in the digitalcoin USB flashdrives. As I've stated in PM's to everyone the price point on the initial print run of just 50 units has been slightly higher than I hoped for. However, this is as much a promotional exercise for digitalcoin as it is about making a small profit on the initial test run. I'm reordering with the supplier to get a much lower price point on these and the 2nd round Flipcard design. See: http://digitalcoin.co/forums/index.php/topic,99.0.html (updating the thread with new info. soon) 1 - 5 units at the standard price. 6 - 10 units at 10% discount. 11 - 15 units at 12.5% discount. 16 - 20 units at 15% discount. 21+ units at 20% discount. The cheapest tracked (bulk) shipping from the UK to the US is Royal Mail Airsure at around $23 p&p (depending on the order quantity)... Forum member techbytes is looking to order around 15 units for USA re-distribution. This might be the best option. I'll have some single units listed on the DGC Market and on ebay within the next 24 hrs. Cheers!

Most folks seem to interested in a bigger capacity flashdrive, so the next round of the slim and new flipcard designs will all be 8GB. 2GB is plenty of space for a backup / wallet storage device, although I agree that if the intention is to run digitalcoin from the flashdrive pre-loaded then 8GB+ is necessary for future usage.

I confirm that techbytes has ordered and paid for >10 digitalcoin USB flashdrives from myself and I've shipped them today in fact. So, unless your ordering more than 10 units then forum member techbytes is now the best person to place an order with in the US. I'll still handle orders for Europe and the rest of the world. Perhaps we can start doing digitalcoin treasure hunts via Geocaching or something similar with these ?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4VFeYZTTYshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwohadcUv4AJust an idea!

Does anyone else have this weird issue with the wallet where every now and then it goes out of sync for no reason? This can be easily fixed just by restarting the wallet but it is getting annoying now.

Have you forwarded port 7999 on your router? This will give you alot more connections and should resolve the issue.
