Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers
I think bitcoin is safe, provided that we should be able to keep the password well, do not arbitrarily open an account on the phone others or in other public places such as in the cafe, because it causes theft by hackers and irresponsible people even though it is a friend we...

Bitkoin is really safe, which is one of the strengths and properties that I like in bitkoini. You manage your BitKey purse, you keep your password, your secret key, which only you know, no one else can steal your bitcoin until you open your password and key.

In my opinion, bitcoin is completely safe, depending on us keeping your account, but I'm sure your account will be safe.

Smiley This depends on how you want to use it, and the alternative you're using to compare:If you are trying to use Bitcoin to send or receive BTC, then Yes, it's safe because doing so without Bitcoin - e.g. with an unregulated exchange - may result in you losing money. If you are trying to use Bitcoin to launder money, then No, it probably isn't safe compared with something like cash - difficult to monitor - because Bitcoin makes it relatively easy for enforcement agencies to monitor you

Bitcoin is safe and getting safer as time pass, In fact the government are now taking interest in bitcoin, Japan has legalized bitcoin and hope other states will follow them. Bitcoin is now becoming a proper currency throughout the world which people will be using for online as well as for offline purposes, the beauty of bitcoin is that it is a universal currency and we do not need to convert it into any other currency if we are using it abroad.

Yes Bitcoin is really safe. Anyone can steal bittacense, without our own neglect.
The government can not be easy to ban Bitcoin transactions, because Bitcoin has a higher future. Bitcoin had been silent for quite some time and was growing well alongside him. The targets for sure hackers are inevitable.
Run your part to reveal your personal password and so on. This is a good prevention to be a hack

It really depends on your wallet and if you keep your keys and passwords safe or not, because there are many of them that aren't extremly secured, a friend of mine had 5 bitcoin in a wallet and got hacked, he lost everything in just one night and he can't even know who did that. so you just have to pay attention about the wallets you use and download them from trusted websites.

Oh thats unfortunate. Really, its better to use a  hardware wallet or a standalone on and keeps your privaye keys secure. Once private keys is exposed, your wallet is at risk. Digital thief os also proliferating and securing a wallet is important.Always be updated with technology especially on cryptocurrency  security.

I like Bitcoin because it is very trustworthy. Bitcoin will show us the bright path in the future. So I think Bitcoin investment is really incomparable. I believe in Bitcoin, because I have benefited a lot.

Yes bitcoin is really secure. no one can steal bitcoin, except for our own carelessness. Smiley
The government can not be that easy to ban bitcoin transactions, because bitcoin is the future.

I'm sorry to disagree since everything can be hacked nowadays. A good example of it is SONY, For sure SONY has everything to protect their servers. But they too didn't expect that their walls are already breached. In terms of carelessness, I guess it's part of our human nature. We are not perfect though. The Government can easily manipulate the market of Bitcoin, they apply laws to prevent transactions. The idea of Bitcoin is the future is very much enlightening but as far as I know, Bitcoin is still in the process of acceptance. Bitcoin is not yet accepted worldwide, even to those countries that accepted it, only selected businesses thus accept Bitcoin as payment.
i agree with you, no one in the world is full secure but there is way to prevent from hacker, like keep our computer free of virus and save our login in safe places

It is as secure as you choose to keep it. Just consider it very much like cash in that once you've given it away, you won't get it back. Besides bitcoin’s underlying technology is based off of cryptography and encryption. The technology can’t be hacked until quantum computers are a feasible thing but that is decades from now.

Hmmm for me its not really secure if you think. Our btc wallet is only consider as a online data in computer. If the data is been hack or deleted, our money is gone too compare to banks that your money is guarantee secured. If bitcoin have a backup for every wallet its been ok. We have dont worry about to our money.

Tell them that the safety of a bitcoin will only depend on how much the owner knows how to secure it. It doesnt matter how good the blockchain thechnology is if the owner of a certain coin doesnt know what to do with it.  That is why whenever a friend of mine wanted to engaged with cryptocurrency i am advising them to conduct research first to further improve their knowledge about cryptocurrency.

Its not just secure but also give us many benefits. We don't need to hire security agent to move big amount of  our bitcoin, we only need to do a few click to send bitcoin, but we still need to secure our computer from hackers.

Perhaps someday in the future when quantum computer is well developed, its high calculation capability will make bitcoin less secure. But you never know when it will be developed to that stage, 10 years or 100 years. By that time Bitcoin may already take quantum computer into consideration and limit it.

For me, bitcoin is really secure. For my three months of  doing bitcoin , I experience that it is secure. The safety of every individaul is defends on how individual take care for thier bitcoin. Though bitcoin is an online and peer to peer system, we need a backup version of our  bitcoin wallet or any online wallet to avoid hacking. There are many hacker who are in wherever we are that's why we need to take care. The only one you can trust is yourself. Being responsible and smart can also help to be aware no matter what happen. It is always secure especially when you always  check your account if there's a changes happened or be thankful if there's no harmful activities happen in your account. Being wise can also help us to secure in every account we have. We all know that bitcoin is an online job that's why we can't avoid scam or hacking your account but I believe that we can avoid any harmful activities if we know how to care and  always look for the update  about bitcoin.
