Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers
I do not think the bitcoin is really safe and no altcoin is 100% safe. In the future there will be a person capable of hacking bitcoin.

Yes Bitcoin is secured. This is secured by the blockchain system and its own users. Hackers can not hack the blockchain system. You have to protect your bitcoin purse and then your bitcoin will always be secured. There are no simple bugs here which will cause security problems. Thus can be said Bitcoin secured. Wink

Bitcoin in itself cannot be hacked, it has been proven to be very secure against the current kind of attacks that exist today, second you need to understand that since there is not a central authority in bitcoin no one can block people from joining the network, so those that use bitcoin for illegal things can do so with impunity, this means there is a real risk bitcoin is banned in some countries but that is fine.

No... It's not! However, if you used a hardware wallet then it secured 99%.
Other than that the BTC or any other coins are not secure in online.

are not. Bitcoins are not really safe. Bitcoins are not recognized in many countries. It is not considered a commodity for exchange. So, when you are robbed or lost, no one will stand out for you

Bitcoin supporters enable robust security In theory, unless 51% of the system is controlled by one party. For example, in order for a person to change a transaction or double the value of Bitcoin, they must control the majority of systems and modify every miner in this majority. If there is disagreement in the chain block, the system will replace the minority with data agreed by the majority. However, there are concerns that different mining and mining companies must be able to reach 51% of Bitcoin hashing power and carry out a 51% attack called on the Bitcoin network.

bitcoin to my opinion is very secure, not much hackers can really hack to earn bitcoin, they can just hack exchanges to steal bitcoin, that is problem of exchanges not bitcoin, bitcoin itself is safe and anonymous so even government can not control bitcoin.

not reall because bitcoin didnt have any private keys just only adress and your wallet so my advise is to use offline wallets or  if you want online wallets try to use trusted wallet and secured like coinbase this wallet is the best for me and this is trusted and secured.

As of now, no one can able to hack blockchain that is why it is very secure. The only thing that could be hacked are your coins. But the security and accuracy of blockchain is 100%. About the government, of course not all government are in favor. Because the features of Bitcoin is a threat not only by banks but also threat to our own government. But we will never hold what the future holds. Just believe that cryptocurrencies is the future. Better to take the risk that regretting something for the rest of your life.

The protocol and cryptographic rules used by Bitcoin still work many years after it was first made, which is a good sign that the concept is well designed. However, security flaws have been found and improved over time with the application of various software. Like any other software, the security of Bitcoin software depends on the speed of finding and troubleshooting. The more problems found, the more Bitcoin reach maturity.

Bitcoin will not exists until today if it was not secure at all. Looking at the price now, it's so high and that's because the demand is high too which means investors themselves know that bitcoin is reliable and secure that's why they're confident enough that their money that they invest in bitcoin is secure.

BTC is exceptionally secure and it is encoded with the private keys you have and the best way to open it is through your private keys. A few instances of hacking said that the private keys they have was associated in their gmail account. Where programmers can figure out how to hack the gmail and have the capacity to get your keys. For whatever length of time that you store your keys in great hands you are ready.
