have tried to mine lbry with x10 with giant b image all share discarded Sad

Did you use a custom sgminer?

no just the stock image

but it recognize the board, i only plug one board to avoid that others get damaged
i get a hashrate of ~13 ghs which fits to the data sheet 3*~13=40ghs for lbry

i think the is a line of code which avoid mining

Hi,

Restore the X10 image on the X10 SD card
Boot the X10
Rename folder /opt/scripta to /opt/scripta2 on the X10
Copy folder /opt/scripta from Giant B image to X10 (with winscp)
Reboot X10
And try lbry again ...
This will run X10 image with scripta Giant B miner  Wink
Thank you very much for yours tests

Tl;dr: Tried it, couldn't get it mining.

Replaced the scripta folder with the one from the giant B, booted, and the miner never seemed to connect to the hash boards. The web interface also showed the default GB pool configs, but the algorithms were blank and the dropdown menus only had options for the Gx10 algos.

Also replaced the var/www folder so the image would have the scripta and web interface from GB but the rest of the image was Gx10. This let me select the GB algos with the GB default pools, but the miner never connected to the hash boards.

Tried restoring the GB image and the miner connects to pools and hash boards, but all shares are discarded. Haven't gotten into the sgminer logs yet to see if I can diagnose why it's rejecting all shares.

The most interesting thing I think is that with the default GB image, the FPGA clocks from 300MHz up to 400MHz. This means that the sgminer build is setting clock speed somehow and the STMicro controller is just interpreting an instruction set from sgminer to the FPGA chips.

Sorry, but this does not make sense in English. Try re-phrasing.

That's what I'm thinking. Don't have it working yet. Will need a custom sgminer build.

Please share what is the best pool for Verge Myriad Groestl because Super Nova is paying way less than the est reward of 741 XVG daily.
Last day it just paid 345 XVG

Thanks.

Look at suprnova twitter. Problem was on all XVG-pools.  I use application for android to monitor SuprNova pools via API-key and here it show orpphan balance. Maybe i`m wrong, but as far as I know Your coins not lost, just "orphaned" and need more time to confirm by network.

P.S. From SuprNova Q&A:

Q: What is a orphan block?
A: Coins generated by a block will not be available to you right away. They will take some time to be confirmed by the entire network before you are allowed to transfer them out of the pool. Usually coins have a confirmation set to 120. What that actually means: the network (not the pool) has to discover 120 additional blocks on top of the one found by the pool to confirm it.

Whats next?

Do you sell or just HODL until it's over? If it is ever over?

Try to redefine my problem again.
With my Baikal Giant X10 the connection is disconnected every 6 hours for 20 minutes.

It may also be possible that the Gaint X10 reboots itself I can't tell you that, but I can tell him diagram where you can see if the Gaint X10 is working for hours and days are always after about 6 hours of small abortions / dropouts.

The diagram shows that the Gaint X10 is not working continuously.

you have the same thing with your gaint x10

For anyone having troubles with their Giant X10, could you try logging into it (default user:pass is baikal:baikal) and running this command:

Code:
lsusb | grep 0483

This command will list the USB devices attached to the OrangePi and then filter those results to only show lines with "0483" (STMicroelectronics' USB vendor ID). The expected result is this (where things should be working properly):

Code:
Bus 007 Device 003: ID 0483:5740 STMicroelectronics STM32F407

But if you get this:

Code:
Bus 007 Device 002: ID 0483:df11 STMicroelectronics STM Device in DFU Mode

Then the STM32 microcontroller may need to be reset (it is stuck in firmware download mode). If this is the case, issue these two commands:

Code:
echo 0 > /sys/class/gpio_sw/PA10/data
echo 1 > /sys/class/gpio_sw/PA10/data

The first command sets the PA10 pin to 0 (off) on the OrangePi, which is connected to the STM32's reset pin, which in turn holds it in a reset state (it needs to be at 0v to reset). The second command de-asserts (sets to 1 in this case) the reset pin allowing the STM32 to begin normal operations. These steps fixed the issue with a Giant X10 I looked at. These commands may need to be run again after reboot, so you may want to write a script in your favorite language to do this at boot or to do a periodic check.

If you get "permission denied" (or something like that, I don't remember the exact message ATM) when trying those commands, try this first:

Code:
su
(then type "baikal" again for the password to elevate your terminal to root level)
Or simply log in as root:baikal instead.

Please do a quick Google search of these commands first to know that they're actually doing what I've explained above. You should default to not trusting random internet stranger's instructions if you're not familiar with what you're doing. Hopefully this helps someone solve their miner issues. Please post if you tried these steps and it solved the issue for you so I know if this is a common problem or if I'm the only one who had trouble with it. Happy mining!

did you pull that number up on whattomine? its saying the same from my calculation but i dont think thats accurate at all.. i have 1 x10 on suprnova right now pulling about 450 per day, and 2 last week were getting anywhere from 900-1200 per day.
id like to know whos getting 740 from a single machine. idcray didnt spit out nearly as much as that either and i think it was even less than suprnova.

Who want a Pool with Proportional (Prop) - The block reward is distributed among miners in proportion to the number of shares they submitted in a round. The expected reward per share depends on the number of shares already submitted in the round.

for XVG MY_GR as SuperNova does not pay well, SuperNova is paying 30% less to us...

If there is interest of 20 X10 machines than i can ask a friend to build a pool where there would be no tricks of PPLNS

In suprnova last week I was doing 450 XVG per day per miner, when whattomine says around 430. I have changed for two days to DGB and now the difficulty of XVG is down to 400k. Yesterday I switched again to XVG_MYGR (suprnova) and I don't have 24h yet on that 400k difficulty. But the hour earnings says all the time between 50-55 per hour for two machines (so 25-27 per machine). You can do the rest of the calculations.
