sooner or later btc can be available for taxi as long as it is legalized by their country. promoting bitcoin at the same time is good because it will benefit everyone who uses it not only because of its profitability but also it is convenient to use.

It is a good and innovation idea but it can not so easy that every government accept it ,and every taxi can take payment with bitcoin because many country people don't know about bitcoin,they are not so educated to understand crypto market.So it will be not so easy work that we can easily say.But i wish one day we can pay taxi with bitcoin.

Now for real, I wouldn't recommend it, there are risks that we might get whenever paying the driver, for instance, he can blackmail you

Using bitcoin to pay your payment on taxi is a nice and good idea. However, it is still not exist in this time and if they want to this thing to happen there are many things that need to be done. I think using bitcoin to pay your payment on taxi is more convenient than using fiat.

We are wishing that this can be happening soon as it can mean that Bitcoin has already saturated the market and can already be in the mainstream. Now, this can happen if there would be a service that will connect those drivers into Bitcoin or maybe a wallet provider which has a good system to connect both parties. Let's encourage Bitcoin-related companies to develop an app for transacting Bitcoin fast and easy and not just for taxi business, actually for many other industry as well.

The current fee for a transaction is $0.11 The current fee for using a credit card is about 3%. Unless your cab ride is less than $3 you would be paying less to use bitcoin.

Hi there Ibrahim60! That is a good idea, only if the transaction speed could be almost an instant. Imagine if you are in a hurry, and of course you will pay your taxi driver when the meter stops or when you reach your destination. Then you pay him in bitcoins and it requires three confirmation to finish the whole payment transaction. The taxi driver will not allow you to just jump out if the transaction is not fully confirmed. That taxi payment could be applicable if you will pay first your taxi driver given the exact destination so while on your way, the transaction confirmation is still on its way.
