If you are trying to use it on SHA256 you have so little hashrate you are not able to generate any shares.

180 Mhash/sec by current standards in SHA256 isn't even noticeable - a SINGLE Antminer S5 (2 generations old ASIC and OUTDATED to the point of being unprofitable except on FREE electricity since the block reward halfing last summer) generated over 1000 MHash, current S9 units generate over 12000.

Also, you appear to be trying to mine on a laptop - laptops do NOT handle the heat generated by heavy-duty usage (like cryptocoin mining does) on the GPU very well at all for long and will commonly overheat and sometimes die as a result.

WhatToMine has individual coin calculators that include some or all of the skein coins - DGB-skein is one of them.
I'm not sure why they don't include Skein as one of the algos on their "gpu comparative" page.

Yes, it sounds sad  Cry .
Has anyone compared groestl and skein algorithms? Which one is more profitable?

Say Lucazane -

I was wondering if we could get the Average Hashrate figures fixed on your DGB SHA-256 pool.  Hard to figure out exactly what our average hash rate is.  Been mining there for a week and given the profitability of DGB looks like I'll be sticking around a while.  As will others.

I don't think it's just me because this dashboard works when I mine your DGB scrypt pool.  And I can have a tab for each in same browser.  SHA with zeros and Scrypt with apparently accurate figures.

Would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Every Body,

Could you help me. I am beginner in mining and I am trying CPU mining with "minerd". Is Thheblocksfactory.com compatible with this way of mining ?

I launch thi command in my server :

Code:
./minerd -t3 -o stratum+tcp://s1.theblocksfactory.com:9004 -u MyLogin.host1 -p x

And I See :

Code:
[2017-05-29 07:57:07] Stratum requested work restart
[2017-05-29 07:57:07] thread 1: 17748 hashes, 1.66 khash/s
[2017-05-29 07:57:07] thread 2: 17508 hashes, 1.63 khash/s
[2017-05-29 07:57:07] thread 0: 17040 hashes, 1.59 khash/s
[2017-05-29 07:57:19] Stratum requested work restart
[2017-05-29 07:57:19] thread 2: 19116 hashes, 1.63 khash/s

But after 24h, nothing in my account ?

How do I configure worker ? Which pool with CPU miner ?

Thanks  Smiley

No CPU is too slow, you won't submit any share and so you will not generate any DGB

Anyone know why mining with the klaus branch of the ccminer which seems to have some myr-groestl efficiencies it doesn't seem to actually produce more valid hash even though the miner software indicates that it is?  It's not producing more invalid hashes, but it also doesn't seem to be generating more valid hashes even though it is reporting a higher hash rate.

I'm new to mining so not sure if there is an easy way to get an actual valid benchmark of how effective these different miners are?

With 2.0 final:
ccminer.exe --algo=myr-gr -o stratum+tcp://stratum.dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com:9003 -u xxx.xxx_diff1 -p x -i 23

https://github.com/tpruvot/ccminer/releases

With 8.08 Klaus:

https://github.com/KlausT/ccminer/releases

As you can see even though the miner seems to indicate I should be getting 10% more I'm actually getting 50% less share.

Both were running for at least the full 15 minutes for the average share rate.

 Not effectively, I'm pretty sure.

DGB-SHA, DGB-Qubit and DGB-Scrypt are ASIC mined (Bitcoin miners like the S9, the Baikal, and Litecoin miners like the L3+ and A2/A4 respectively).

DGB-Skein and DGB-Groestl are GPU mined.

The neoscrypt coins have GPU miners available, but I've never really looked into those to date.

As far as I know, the only thing worth mining at this time on a CPU is the cryptonight coins like XMR(Monero), at which your Ryzen is fairly good.

I didn't notice any pool-side improvement on DGB-groestl using the KlausT fork of ccminer vs trpv, and very little if any better on the miner reported rate.

Best to check for at least a 3 hour period though, normal variation could EASILY exceed that 50% variance you say on a 15-minute test.

Trying to mine scrypt on a CPU has been worthless for YEARS - GPUs for scrypt got replaced 4-5 YEARS ago by ASIC, and that was a year or two after CPUs got blown out of the water by the first GPU-based miner.

Do you even get 100khash/sec on your Ryzen for scrypt?

For comparison - my Innosilicon A2 units (which are GENERATION OLD ASIC and pretty badly outperformed by the more recent Bitmain L3+ and Innosilicon A4) pull 110 MEGAhash (on the miner, about 105 usually at the pool) on 1250 watts draw at the wall.
