I think quite a few ICOS tank in price after the first few weeks on the exchange since most dont have an actual product.

everything have a risk in you want to participate in it.
Do more research on the ICO you going to participate, so that you can avoid those apparently scam ICO. Smiley

Google is a really good method to let you search for the information you need.

As they say, no risk... no reward.  Check out this video.  https://www.facebook.com/cointelegraph/videos/2416125648612825/

Even if you invest in an ICO and dump it after it hits exchanges, you are likely to end up with a good return.  I wouldn't miss out on the money train.  Just do your due diligence to ensure that the company isn't a scam.

In business and investment risk is the nature. But  when you take calculated risk the burden will become less. Investing in ICO is akind of business but before investing you need to do due diligence on the project and the team behind such project.

It is always safe to participate in ICOs (or in any other investment) if you invest as much as you can loose. It's a simple formula and it always works.

For me, yes, it is safe to participate in ICO 's because there are many projects but you must learn all about the projects and research on it and know who manage on it. ICO's is risky but it is better to invest in the future. Not all projects on ICO's came to success because there are many scam on it that's why you need to read and observe the whitepapers before you join.

Safe yeS, but the risk of your money is always high.

As an individual purchasing tokens is safe and unregulated in most countries.

It isn't safe, but you can filter projects.
I started to filter ICOs that already had some investments from offline world like business angels ans similar because if they already gave their money to the project - this means they (offline investors) trust it and it is much safer to participate in similar ICOs than any new sh1tcoin that appeared right from nowhere and without any proofs of existence or warranties to follow their declared plan

It is better to buy coin at the first week it hits exchange than buying it at ICO, ICO could be sometimes frustrating. Imagine buying a coin at ICO price $0.1 and the first week of it hitting exchange it went as low as $0.04 to $0.3.

In as much as an ICO project management conducts  a bounty campaign for it project price will go down the first week of it hitting exchange. This happens because of bounty hunters.

Right now there are many ICOs coming out, is it really safe to participate in any of it and spend that much? In participating ICOs I have high hopes that these coins could be the next Bitcoin or other currencies that are really going up in the market.

If this is what you believe in ICO, you need to do an intensive research about ICO you would like to participate in so you will not be disappointed. For you question, YES it is safe to join or invest in ICO but like what others said, you need to be more careful and check the ICO you like to invest

It's hard to say whether to invest in a new ICO or not since no one knows until we have the taste of it. There are lots of ICO's everyday and it's hard to research in every ICO, but if you invested and the ICO is successful, then you have a lot of money.

Investing in a ICO might be a good plan, but research about the plan and developer statement, so you will be profited.

if you believe in the project you want to invest, there's no reason not to try.
The more coins that arise, we must be more careful.
Because most of the coins that appear are scam, so we have to find information and also do the research carefully.
If I personally prefer to invest in altcoins that already have a big name, so it is easier to find information about the coins and also easier to estimate the movement of the price.

ICO's are good.I'm not against them. Do you think all the altcoins in top 200 will sustain for long.No they are not.Few ICO's will replace them.It is a continuing process. So there is no harm in believing ICO's.

Try this site https://icobench.com, to find what you need. And remember You should always understand the main idea of projects. As i know sometimes they can make demo version of product before ICO, and it is a very good indicator of promising projects. I like confideal the most, because can understand it and try by my beautiful hands.

Not 100%. Participating in ICO's is an investment and in every investment there is always a risk. There are promising ICO's out there that are worth looking into. And like what most said in here always do your research before diving in.

There are risks involved of course. I'm sure you have heard of scamcoins that goes in and out or just get delisted in exchanges very quickly. You should think twice when investing in them and I prefer that you read articles about them that came from reputable news organization or sites.

If you had a good research, it is safe for sure. You should be careful and read a lot about project and team before you invest.
