Hey there! Since you are new, I suggest trading with Bitcoin, as it is the first cryptocurrency and widely accepted by many. It seems to be growing a lot lately, so it is still a good investment to date.

Once you familiarized yourself with the crypto world, you can check out other altcoins, airdrops, ICOs, and many more! As for investing Bitcoin, get a good Bitcoin Wallet, like CoinBase, or for more security, Electrum, Mycelium etc.

i always say bitcoin is the only long term investment and you should consider ETH only as a short term one. but i no longer say that about ethereum anymore because of the increasing risks of it.

investing in ethereum becomes more and more risky every day. and the risk is not just because ETH is in a big bubble and banning ICOs can mean the end of this platform for good. and lots of other issues. but the risk is rising these days because of all the exploits that keep popping out of ethereum and all the hacks.

If would also prefer BTC for the both short and long term investment wise. ETH also you can invest some of your funds so that you can have a diversified portfolio and can earn a decent income from any rise in any of the coin. Also after the fork being cancelled the btc is going to spur now.

Helo,i will advice you invest in Both cryptocurrencies. Ethereum last year was around 8$ and today it is about 300$ while Bitcoin was about 800$ plus last year October ending and you know the value today. By this time next year,Bitcoin might reach 15000$ and Ethereum might reach 800$ so I will advice you diversify your investment.

bitcoin and etherium were both good for long term investment though bitcoin also be good for shorter term of investment because bitcoins price tends to jump quickly in just a matter of time unlike etherium that is known to increase a little longer ( maybe month or years). overall i suggest put 70% on bitcoins and then 30% on etherium to get the best results.

You can go with ETH for a long term investment. As the price of ETH is less now,  it's easy to purchase ETH . The turn over would be really huge. After few years.  Bitcoin price as well had the same growth ratio in the beginning. For short term investment and a huge profit,  go ahead with bitcoin.

I suggest  you invest in Bitcoin get to know the tech behind it, and do as much research as you can on Ethereum. Then compare the two the pros and the cons. Then diversify you investment you should be able to kill two birds with one stone.

I can choose both of them ETH and BTC for now, because currently I am holding the two currency. The confidence I had was so intense, and I can compare it with a racing sports match like bitcoin is having the leading and followed by ethereum. For now those holdings I had can be on sell next year and that would be profitable for both of those coins, that's why my emotions now is really at a well controlled stage.

Currently - invest in bitcoin; if you follow the news carefully, you'll see a lot of hassle now with the segwit fork and so... So bitcoin could be quite volatile at the moment - you'd better catch the right moment.

ETH is in trouble now with some exploits, but the guy behind it Vitalik Buterin is quite trustworthy which makes the ETH community not lose trust in ETH platform. At the moment all alts are going up (because of the btc news), so you either invest in them right away or wait for future dips.

Wait until the dust of the current problems/uncertainty is settled about these two coins and invest in another solid altcoin or wait one or two week until we know what is happening now with BTC (correction overdue!) And ETH (frozen Ethereum 1.5 USD value / potential fork?)

Longterm i would wait for a correction of BTC and then buy-in
