Do we have an account number or phone number and/or contact person name for compassion.com?
compassion is next business group,lol....dont believe them

For over 50 years Compassion has proven their credibility. They spend spend more than $500,000,000.00 annually to help children in 25 countries. As of 2016 there were over 1 million children worldwide in their programs. They have a 5013c designation from the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS). CharityNavigator.org gives them a Financial score of 79.4 out of 100 and 100 out of 100 for Accountability & Transparency.

Current explorer is running at 115% CPU (Mongo taking up 100%) and 1.7 GB RAM in use,

Explorer previously was hitting 300-400% CPU for Mongo sometimes, typically hovering around 200%+ CPU Usage

Id recommend $20/month (2 CPU) server from Vultr starting out

How come those vultr servers are so expensive? In Germany we have a hoster where you can get a root server with 2 dedicated cores and 8GB RAM for 7 € per month ...
Even if you rent it from anywhere else in the world it's just 9 €!

I prefer places that define what  a "core" is...

If they count hyperthreaded cores they are essentially worthless

Otherwise a "core' of a 2.0ghz old xeon is a lot different than a core on a newer xeon gold.

Sure... maybe they have more info inside the page. The biggest problem is when these companies overbook the CPUs and cycles show as "stolen". You have to be vigilant to discover this and make a claim.

I use a host out of the Netherlands...  USA has too many restrictions  unfortunately.

But common, let's show a little respect.  regardless of what your beliefs are we can say things without trash talking.

https://www.hetzner.com/cloud?country=us

I can vouch for Hetzner, I used them for many years. This is the exact page where I've looked after Togo said that a $20 VPS is needed. Smiley

4 cores and 10GB RAM and 700GB Hd for 8€/month at Contabo
https://contabo.com/?show=vps

I had one for bitcoin and LN nodes for some time and it was ok.

But looks like MIP's suggestion is even better. I always check Alexa rank of websites, so this one is 40k which is very good. Hetzner is 26k (the lower the better, Google is 1).

But this one is 1.2m, so I would avoid that.

How come those vultr servers are so expensive?

I really wonder the same thing. For me the only advantage of vultr is that they accept bitcoin as payment. And it's strange there are so many US-based hosting companies which offer almost exactly the same prices/specs, and they're very expensive compared to European ones (so slovakia has a point). For example, compare:

https://www.vultr.com/pricing/
https://www.digitalocean.com/pricing/
https://www.linode.com/pricing

Like they are all in an agreement. Smiley And they're all very popular.
